Gorgeous Welsh stone cottage in beautiful rural setting. Fully equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable, especially the beds!  Rob was a great host - he was very communicative and had the fire all ready for us to light when we arrived.  Watching the birdlife through the ceiling window from bed in the morning was a real highlight.  We wished we could have stayed longer!

Secluded and peaceful location.
Comfortable bed, but pillows need upgrading. 
Very clean facilities. Excellent shower.
Cane chairs in bedroom need to be replaced for something more Comfortable. 
Breakfast was excellent and delicious with plenty of choice.

We actually stayed at the Bed and Breakfast which is on the site of the cottages which has 2 letting bedrooms 
The hosts were very welcoming and the rooms were of a very high standard and very clean 
Breakfast was excellent 
And the entire cottage area was clean and inviting

Welsh Breakaway in Cardigan

We had a wonderful week staying here. Great walks for our Springer spaniel straight from the cottage up the hill. Comfortable, well equipped cottage with a lovely large veranda. Friendly and helpful owners. Loved the piggies who liked a back scratch and a chat. Lovely stream which was very useful to rinse our dog after a walk. Easy drive to Poppit Sands for a beach walk. 

Excellent place to stay

After lockdown we were really looking forward to a relaxing holiday in Wales. What a disappointment. The Granary cottage is OK but definitely not special or five star. To be honest our break also ended disastrously when the owner’s father shouted very unpleasantly at my husband, not once but twice. The wind had blown open the cottage door and unbeknown to us our two dogs had escaped out of the door and left a mess by the owner’s house. My husband immediately went to clean up. Of course the dogs leaving a mess  is unacceptable but there are ways of expressing this without resorting to shouting at your guests. 
When my husband explained that it was an innocent mistake because the wind had blown open our front door the guy said that’s not my problem. 
My husband and children were so upset by this and we all felt very uncomfortable, so we felt we had no other option than to leave two nights early. 
When I emailed Rob to explain why he said that it was a “ it is unfortunate that you were spoken to on this occasion by somebody rather than ourselves.” and said he hoped we had a pleasant trip home.
I found this a pretty pathetic response and said that given we paid this man for firewood, discussed recycling with him etc, it seems to us that he did represent the business.
I also suggested that to help future customers they fix the front door or at the least tell people that it is liable to blow open if not locked. It's not very safe for guests with dogs or small children to be unaware of this. Especially given that there is a reasonable amount of traffic in and out of the farm, having multiple guest accommodations as well as being a working farm. I did not receive a reply.
Also to help others- although the Granary cottage is described as for 8 people our view was that this would be hard to make that work given that there is no bathroom or toilet downstairs and that it requires six people to share a fairly small bathroom. It was fine for us because we were only five people.
It is also described as dog friendly but we did not realise that there was no fenced off garden area so whenever we were outside we had to keep a very close eye on the dogs- got the kids to do it. I think that the rules say to keep your dogs on a lead at all times- but this is fairly unrealistic and more akin to living in a tower block than holidaying in rural Wales. We noted that the owners did also walk their dog off the lead- because a rather lovely black labrador ended up in our kitchen. So sort of not that dog friendly really.
The cottage is well equipped with all you need for cooking etc. The WIFI is absolutely terrible. They said that they were trying to get BT out to sort it- although reading other reviews it seems that this has been an issue for many years.
So it was OK. Except for getting shouted at.

OK but not special

If you want a cosy getaway with a luxury feel to it, this is where to go! The cottage was beautifully decorated and had everything you could need! The owners are very helpful and welcoming. They had given us more than enough wood to keep us going through the weekend which was very generous. Do buy the eggs from on site as they are delicious! We braved it during a storm but you never would have guessed as the cottage was peaceful and calm. The only issue was the WiFi was quite slow. We found the cottages were nestled down a quaint little lane and not an issue to get to using the Google maps location. Also, it was perfect to be able to bring our four legged friend with us! It's a shame we couldn't explore the site and land a little more due to the weather! 

We just wish we could have stayed longer! We will be back when the sun comes out!

I come from Ceredigion, so I know the area well and came back for a short break.  The idea being is that our extended family (with two new grandchildren) could join us at a later date for a family holiday. So our stay was a recce as well as being a long weekend away for us and our dog.....What can I say except WOW...we had a lovely cottage (Gorse).  It is superbly appointed, quiet and just suited us well.  The little dachshund we have enjoyed his walks up the hill behind the cottage and met the pigs, hoses and chickens.  For our extended family it will be perfect, not only for location and its closeness to the seaside, but in as much as it is safe, quiet and beautifully presented. An added bonus is that in front of the property is a small stream that I will fish when I return (wild trout) for any anglers reading this you'll need an EA license a  2-4 weight rod around 6 foot and bring a coch-y-bonndhu fly or similar waders not really necessary but wellies to cross over on a ford point.  Fabulous place.

Had a lovely stay in The Coach house. 
Cottage was beautiful & clean. Lovely decking overlooking the pigs/ponies. 
Remote location but easy to get to places. 
Loved the “laundry room “ /shared facilities- bbq to use, washer/dryer, iron, dvds etc
My only suggestion would be that it would be helpful to have been sent a list of what is provided & what isn’t so you know what to bring/not bring ....typically I brought stuff that was provided & not the stuff that wasn’t. Eg -toilet roll (1 provided so needed to buy more), hand soap (non provided), dish washer tablets (provided) , bin bags (needed to buy), washing up liquid (provided) , tea towel (provided) etc 

Peaceful 

Everything about the coach house was just fantastic. Clean, warm, cosy the list is endless for all the good things I can say about our two night Short break. Fantastic views. We had the pleasure of meeting Rob and his mother and would be available any time should you need anything. Our boxer dog enjoyed his time there so much he can not wait to go back. 

Amazing

Booked at bank holiday weekend last minute 
Loved the cottage and the location 
10/15 mins from beaches poppit beach was a great dog friendly beach and close enough to visit loads of places would love to go back
