First the good points :- Excellent location on the sea front with free car parking. The room we had was a small double. Adequate for a short stay and clean. Good bathroom. Free wifi. Good breakfast -  full english, well cooked except the toast which was leathery and orange juice overly watered down.  
Not so good :- Room was very hot and no way to open the window. TV was unwatchable - pixelating all the time.  It is probably regular coach parties that provide much of the hotel's income.  I rated the hotel 3 on tripadisor as 4 is deemed Very Good.  3.5  - Good would be a better rating from me.

Not a bad stay.

A first class hotel,sets a very high standard for a coach trip clientele.All the staff are so friendly & helpful in the restaurant.where the food is of an excellent quality &  throughout the hotel..they do everything to make your stay a very pleasant experience..I'd particularly like to mention Filipi & Jamal on the reception.so helpful & quick to sort out any problems you may have .two top guys ..all in all a surprisingly well facilitated hotel . highly recommended

surprisingly good hotel

Dingy room, with dirty windows. No Internet. Noisey from fellow guests above and barking dog outside. 
Food was plentiful, but of less-than-average quality.
Staff were run off their feet, but were good by and large.
Good position in the centre of Bognor.
Booking was poor - we requested a sea-view, and top floor - we got neither.

Dingy room, average food, good staff.

Hotel is in a good location and looks lovely from the outside. The receptionist was far from welcoming and deadpan. I Stayed in a single room which to be fair was clean and tidy. I had a lovely view looking over the dumped mattresses and bins at the back, the sash windows rattled all night and the wind flapped the curtains about due to the huge gap in the frame. I know it's an old building but this room would be freezing in winter. I stay in hotels 2 times a week due to work and for the cost (£85) I have stayed in nicer for far less money 

Strange place 

We had a few days in the Royal Norfolk Hotel in Bognor Regis on an Alfa coach trip. 
The hotel is in a nice position overlooking the sea with a long promenade. The shops are about a ten minute walk away.
We were in room 10 on the first floor 
which was comfortable but with all Leisureplex hotels you get two bars of soap and that’s it so bring your own toiletries. The bed was comfortable but with many of these hotels the walls are stud walls so sounds from adjacent rooms can be heard.
As frequent users of Alfa we have become used to their food as it is the same menu in almost every hotel in the UK. It’s plain food with not massive portions but with three courses you should be satisfied. 
There was adequate lounge space and  in one there are some very nice armchairs and sofas.
It is our favourite Alfa hotel so far. 

A nice hotel to relax in.

The hotel advertises 'Non Residents Welcome at the entrance.
As a resident of Bognor Regis my wife and I like to call in  on a weekend afternoon to have a drink outside on the nice paved  and grassy areas facing the beach.  However the hotel itself does not appear geared up for any 'walk-ins' as there is never anyone behind the bar and you have to search around for a member of staff to deign to serve you.  This we did on Sunday 4th June but was left in no doubt that our being there was an inconvenience to the the young lady on reception so we moved on.  It is a fair walk from the road entrance to the hotel only to be told that the bar is either closed or not operating fully.   Either remove the sign that non residents are welcome or fulfil your duties as a working bar?

Terrible, I had a four night stay and woke up on the first morning to find that I had been bitten a number of times by a bed bug that I found crawling on the quilt. 

On complaining to the hotel an hotel employee came to the room and checked a 'hormone bed bug trap' that the hotel had already put in the room before my visit and was located out of site at one end of the bed.

I then stated that the hotel must have had a bed bug problem before and the rude  answer I got was 'what do you expect this is an hotel'. I received no apology and was not provided with an alternative room for the rest of my stay or offered any compensation.

Clean hotel situated in a good position on the sea front. Entertainment good- its a pity some guests didn't stay after the bingo. Only problem was the size of the food portions which were child size. We have been with Alfa quite a few times and never had such small portions before- perhaps its a sign of the cost of living crisis but it means I can't give 5 stars.

Beautiful hotel room spotless staff very friendly and helpful.Food varied and hot . Entertainment good . Lovely views .Would definitely go back to this lovely hotel .went with Alfa good journey excellent driver Alan
