Sadly this was not an enjoyable experience, table crammed in and people just sitting in lines. Food was supposed to be BBQ, this wasn’t the case, cold burgers, poor choice of anything else, no salad no deserts. 
Come on if you are going to do, do it wel! 
Staff v good and tried their best, but in fairness it didn’t work. 
 It’s just a money making thing for the hotel and that was pretty obvious- pack them in and service a little as possible.

Bottomless brunch

Great location Great staff lovely room had both Bath and shower comfy bed nice towel Breakfast was on point too very tasty and good quality and the staff cannot do enough for you booked it through air bnb will definitely stop there again when I'm in the area

This is not a hotel, this is a bed & breakfast house with low service. The room and bathroom was not made up while we stayed there (two nights)
The breakfast service/the kitchen was very slow.
There was a garden we could use, but it needed trimming, as the plants totally covered  the windows in our room, and it would not have been impossible to get out in case of fire.
We cannot recommend this place to others. 

Lack of service

We stayed here as a family for one night as we were visiting relatives who lived locally.  We booked two rooms, what the hotel doesn’t tell you when booking is the flat upstairs that used to be a staff flat is now let out to groups on air BnB.  On the particular night we stayed there was a group booking who had an all night party.  Literally we were awake all night with thumping music.  When we asked if they would mind keeping the volume down as children were being kept awake we were greeted with a group of guys absolutely out of it.  We called the number in reception which is listed if you needed assistance several times throughout the night, the last one being at 5:20am. No one responded. As it transpires that there isn’t actually any staff on site over night.  The lady that worked there in the morning was so apologetic and did give us a full refund as it was embarrassing for her.   She was really lovely.  Food seemed nice,  rooms very dated but clean.  They are closing in September so don’t seem to really care.  The fact they are catering for paying hotel guests and literally anyone /group could be staying there as well is out of order, they should let guests know.

Restaurant seems nice hotel is awful

We needed a dog and child friendly place for 60th birthday celebrations and this place delivered in every way ! 
In the build up Alice was so helpful and on the day all the pre ordered food was correct ( how many times have places got that wrong !)  and was really tasty . We wish we could remember the names of the team on duty but they were brilliant from when we arrived at 5 and left after 10! Added to all that with the weather so brilliant we could spend time in the garden too . A great day !

Has it changed owners ? 
Nothing like the image you get from 4 in a Bed. 
Breakfast especially disappointing. Coffee undrinkable and that was stated by at least 10 guests that day . No vegetarian option . Cheap nasty bread, eggs not freshly cooked but left under a heating lamp for nearly an hour. No granola just variety packs of cornflakes and cocoa pops . 
No power to the shower, cold room with windows left open prior to arrival. Curtains do not drawer and toilet did not flush .
Women at reception and that night , curt , rude and frosty.

Really disappointing

Went for a birthday Sunday lunch.
The service was very poor and disorganised. There were no wine glasses on the table.I ordered the turkey but asked for just breast meat. When it arrived it was chicken!?! The waiter started clearing plates and bowls from the table before everyone had finished. The staff did not look or dress very professionally. The meal took 2 hours and 15 minutes for a one course meal.
Having said that the food was actually good and value for money.
Just sort the service and general organisation and would then recommend.

Birthday Lunch

We booked this as a last minute secret escapes deal and have had a wonderful weekend. We were greeted by Tony who made us smile all weekend (don't stop being u). Thoroughly looked after by all members of staff and nothing was too much trouble. A small boutique hotel very well presented. The food was some of the best we have had and we have travelled alot - welldone Richard. We used anita for a last minute spa treatment which was lovely and relaxing. A real hidden gem and fantastic value for money would definitely return .... thankyou all x

Real hidden gem

I went for the bottomless brunch on Saturday with a group of friends and had the most fabulous time. Anthony was such a cheery and wonderful  host. He couldn’t  do enough for us. The Prosecco was flowing and the food was delicious. Really great atmosphere, staff, food and hotel. I will certainly be booking in again. 

Fantastic bottomless brunch

Stayed here for 4 nights on a little break to the south coast.  Very relaxing hotel with super nice staff, top notch food and one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time.

We’re sad to leave actually.  Writing this review from the conservatory, drinking tea, after we had an afternoon stroll on the beach (5 mins away).
