Lovely place.. Spotless... Excellent breakfast each morning eat what you can... Close to everything.. staff were very friendly always willing to help and always smiling.. would highly this place... The only thing I could fault this place for is its WiFi in the bedroom no signal what so ever but sure not the end of the world... Would be more than happy to stay here again if I was to return to Bournemouth.. 

Beautiful Hotel /Bed breakfast 

Got to the hotel and had a lovely welcome from the lady on reception. She got our keys promptly and showed us to our room. We stayed in room 10. Lovely location in the hotel, road a little noisy but what's to be expected with an old home. The bathroom was a wonderful and the bath was a nice deep size. The four poster bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in.
Breakfast was great, good variety of hot and cold foods with ample tea and coffee.
Car park didn't cost us anything as we booked direct with the hotel which was the same price as these booking sites but saving £7.50 per night for carparking is a bonus. 
Good base to explore the area.
Loved our stay. Staff very helpful and attentive to our needs and any issues we had.

Anniversary trip

I booked Tudor Grange as it offered facilities for disabled guests. I don't think so. I had great difficulty getting my Husband and wheelchair into the porch and then into the hall. Once I had done that and received the key I tried to get him into the bedroom. With a struggle I manged to get the wheelchair into the doorway and that was far as I could get it.  I had to leave the wheelchair in the porch.  
When we entered the room it was very dark as the curtains were closed and the window was so high I couldn't reach to open the curtains properly so we had to have a light on all the time we were in the room.
 I specifically booked a ground floor bedroom because there would be no steps as my husband has difficulty with climbing stairs only to find that there was a step into the shower room. There was no wardrobe, just four hooks on the wall.  I found the room a bit depressing.
The shower room was on the small side and the 'hot' water, after running it for some time came through warm.
The one good thing about the room was that the beds were lovely and comfortable.
The breakfast was good.  There was a choice of a full English which was nice and hot or a continental.  The builfing itself is lovely but I found it a little unwelcoming inside.
We wouldn't stay there again.

Disappointing

Arrived at 8 just as lady was locking up, had said we may be later as travelling but no phone call to check where we were en route - not sure what would have happened if we had missed her!! Room was behind restaurant on ground floor, very small and not very clean, massive cob web in corner and light bulbs blown.  Could hear every noise above us and woken up early by setting up of breakfast, sorry owners but disappointed and we would have been returning guests 😟

Disappointed

Got the Tudor house recommended by a friend and booked this for our 3 days vacation to Bournemouth. Stayed at the hotels cottage that is stated on the website as “self-serviced”. 
We called and let the hotel know that we would be arriving late and got really good assistance in how to collect our key, since they are closed at front desk after 8pm. 

Checked in and the cottage seemed cozy and ok standard as expected. But then we were shocked. I first saw spiders nest in the ceiling at the bathroom and then started to look a bit closer in the cottage. It was not clean at all. The bin in the bathroom had not been emptied from previous guest, and this is a toiletoaper bin as you can not throw the paper in the toilet. .. More spiders nest behind the bed, in the corners of the room, and the window blinds looked like they never had seen a cleaning cloth. The rooms smelled really old and we could clearly see that the standard of cleaning was low. 

The next morning I told the front desk and they called for management. After explaining about the lack of cleaning he seemed to not care that much. We asked to have rooms in the hotel, but they were fully booked. My big surprise was that he came of as a bit agressive and meant that I could not expect so much from this type of accommodation, and that the 410 pounds we had payed for the 3 nights was a low price for the city, and we needed to remember what type of “hotel” we had chosen. As a family-owned hotel this statement came as a total surprise to me, and I got the feeling that we were not welcome. Of course we wanted to have the room properly cleaned, and he told us that the housekeepers were to come as soon as we went out that day. 

When we came back the same evening nothing had been done in our room. We went to the front desk again but then the housekeeper had left for the day. They  promised us cleaning the following day. 

Saturday afternoon came, and we got back to the cottage. The only thing that had been done was to make the beds and emptied the trash in the kitchen. Al the spiders nests, dirt on the floors and the bin in the bathroom was still there. At that point we gave up. What could have a great potential with the lovely surroundings just failed due to poor management. Would not recommend this to anyone. 

Dirty and bad service 

GOOD: The room we stayed in was clean, breakfast was nice & lovely staff plus only 10 mins walk to town!

BAD:  The double bed was smaller than a normal one, your feet reached the end! The room was small. The tv reception was bad. Half way through a film/programme signal was lost every day! No wardrobe in the room, just coat hooks with hangers and a double chair, where they could have fitted a wardrobe. The room was very hot had to sleep with window open every night.

Good & Bad points

We stayed for two nights in late September. The room was comfortable and clean, with basic but serviceable utilities and very nice period-themed furniture. The building itself is beautiful, as is the small tucked away garden. The staff was friendly but do check the reception's opening hours as they're limited. Best of all was the location - a short stroll down to a quiet part of the beach.

Quaint stay in small quaint sort-of Tudor hotel

After ready mixed reviews I was a little concerned, however I need not have worried. Yes the property is a little tired in places, but in a funny way it added to its charm. Our room (10) was clean, with a lovely view over the garden. Short walk into town & to the beach. Had an excellent nights sleep and breakfast was everything you could ask for, and hot! Thank you to the young housekeeper who let us in earlier than we should, the cup of tea was most appreciated. Would we return...... definitely
