Visiting the BIC for a concert, the 3 of us wanted somewhere within walking distance and a good nights sleep. 
The '5 minutes' to BIC is for fit and fast walkers as it took us just under 10 minutes walk (the walk back is up a fairly steep hill). 
Our room was clean, as was the bathroom. Heated and with a bath towel on each bed. 
Couple of minor issues, 1 bed was too soft according to my friend and the shower produced not much more than a water trickle. 
Breakfast (served 9-10am) was either full English or veggie alternative which was nice to see. Choice of 4 cereals but the coffee was much too weak to drink. Could of asked the staff, but they were both busy dashing around. 
Overall for a 2 star our stay was fine.

Located close to BH2 complex and BIC

Ideal location. We arrived later than planned due to train delays and was let in by another guest. But as soon as we called David ( the owner) he was there. The rooms are very clean we originally had bunk beds but as older ladies and my daughter who had just had a baby was not suitable so David quickly changed our room which we were very happy with! Thank you David!  Even put an extra heater in was us and it was a cold night. The next morning we went down for breakfast slightly earlier but the team were amazing 🤩 we had tea and coffee brought to the lounge while breakfast was being cooked. Lovely breakfast eaten by all. So thank you all for a lovely one night stay at your hotel. Will 💯 return. 

Amazing staff

Original booking was for 8 for the air show. Due to an operation being offered 9 months early, we unfortunately had to cancel and rebooked 3rd-5th november for 2. Well prepared for a 2 star stay.
Breakfast staff: very good
Room : ok
Locked out: awful
Card wouldn't work to gain entry after an evening out.  No reply to phone or email that was given and no chance to leave a message on the phone.  Banging on the door eventually alerted a guest who let us in. Once in tge entrance, we still couldn't get into our room. Rang and texted another mobile number at the desk pinned to the wall.  No reply to call or text. Correspondence had been through my phone previously, no reply. My husband rang and got an immediate reply. Nobody on Site and had to come from 20 minutes away.
If the kind visitor hadn't of let us in we would off had to sleep in the car or book elsewhere even though already paid for here.

We arrived for our 2 day stay and were allocated room 2 which is at the rear of hotel on ground floor with a separate entrance. Room smelt damp and looked in need of some tlc..decorating and grubby looking carpet replacing.  Had to change quilt cover as dozens of long hairs stuck to it. Had no hot water on second evening and following morning in shower or taps.
Discovered cause of damp when it rained and water was dripping through flat roof to windowsill and then trickling down onto carpet. Paint peeling on windowsill indicating this was a long standing problem. 
I appreciate this is only a 2 star hotel but this stuff is basic.
I mentioned these things to a chap I assumed was the owner on checking out.He mentioned something about the boiler serving that room had only just been fitted but no apology received. On the plus side staff were friendly and breakfast was OK.
My advice would be to pay more and stay in better hotel...lesson learned on my part.


Avoid room 2!

Our stay at the mount stuart hotel was great, the room was spacious and clean. The staff are lush with a special mention to Donna and Norie who are exceptional at their jobs and very kind. Overall,  it was a 4 star experience and I would definitely stay there again. 

Great stay

Lovely place to stay close to town and where we needed to be . very friendly staff could not do enough for us. Very quiet good night sleep even as fully booked hotel and good hearty breakfast and good choice what more could you need what more do you need . Would definitely stay again

Cracking place

We liked this accommodation. We were met by the manager’s Dad who was sweet and very hospitable. He was warm and he explained everything so clearly. We went up to our room which was ok- the only family room/ accommodation available for 7 people at the time of booking! So we all slept on bunk beds and a single bed. It was creaky, but on the older side, but clean and serve its purpose of breaking our trip up to Cornwall. The breakfast the next morning was served by 2 lovely ladies and the chef from South Africa was friendly and lovely  to chat to. We paid £10 for our mini bus to park in the carpark at the back. 

Simple stay

A very warm welcome awaits at The Mount Stuart Hotel.  Fantastic location very close to the beautiful sandy beach.    Many restaurants close by and along the promenade.  Comfortable rooms with en-suite, tea and coffee making facilities.   Great breakfast.   Parking offered which is essential in the busy season.

Hotel based in great location

Took my son to Bournemouth for the summer as its our go to summer place. Hotel was clean, staff amazing. Location perfect. It was central to all the locations. Shops 6 minute walk, Beach about 7-8 minute walk... Everything we needed was closeby as we don't have a car. breakfast was lovely rooms were perfect for what we needed. We will now be using this hotel as our go to hotel for holidays. Already booked again for summer holidays and was booked in for December this year, but had to cancel due to trains not being available, but rescheduled for Easter now instead.

Awesome Summer Break

2star hotel that was actually ok, rooms nice size and lovely and warm, own bathroom in room, shower was nice and hot, tea, coffee making facilities were ok. Bed was comfy, we over looked the road and no problem with traffic. Short walk from town and beach down hill. Breakfast ok.
