We were in Bridlington for a wedding. We booked this hotel after recommendations on this platform. We weren’t disappointed, Kim & Rick were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good. I’m gluten free and they were very accommodating, checking the ingredients in their sausages and other items. I can whole heartedly recommend this guest house.

Ashfield House Guest House

Stayed one night was booked for 4 but alas my wife took ill .She just wanted to come home even though it was not their fault they offered us a couple of free nights for the future ,the breakfast was cooked fresh and lovely rooms spot on .(We both had bad coughs and my wife had problems breathing so it was best to come home so it had nothing to do with them ) looking forward to going again.

My husband and I have just returned from a short break here. I must say it’s the best place I’ve stayed in Bridlington, Kim and Rick are a lovely couple who can’t do enough to make your stay comfortable. The place is immaculate, breakfast hot and fresh, the rooms warm and cosy and if you need local knowledge they are on hand to provide it. An example of their going over and above for their guests was shown to us this morning when we mentioned our hooded tops got soaked in the rain the previous night, I had another warm top but Kim put my husbands in her drier so as he had a warm top to go home in😁. Thanks both of you for your kindness and hospitality ( and for putting up with my husbands daft jokes🤦‍♀️) we hope to see you again soon. Sue and Russ

You must stay here

The Ashford is a lovely guest house. Kim and Rick and excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. The guest hotel is exceptionally clean and comfortable with all the rooms themed to give a great feeling of individuality. The breakfast was very well cooked and was very tasty with a good variety of options.The location is great for the sea front and nice and quiet at night .Parking outside was very easy. We would certainly recommend the Ashford to fellow travellers and we are looking forward to staying again next year.

Excellent 'Gem' of a Guest House

Ashford house is a nice comfortable guest house, recently modernised but still retains a lot of the old charm and features .It is located mid way between the north beach and the harbour a short four minute walk takes you onto the north shore promenade, were you have some lovely views over Flamborough, the harbour and south shore. Our room was the Italian theme room on the first floor level with  en suite and tea and coffee making facilities . This is  nice room which was kempt very tidy for us through out our stay . Other rooms have different themes including the African , Paris and London. Some lovely walks from the guest house up to the north shore or further along the cliffs to Sowerby about three miles there and back or head south to explore the harbour and south shore . If you dont feel energetic take the land train from outside the leisure centre up to Sowerby, seven pound return for two adults .Sowerby is well worth a visit   The harbour is a working harbour and leisure boat trips can be had for fishing or just a cruise on the Yorkshire belle. It was lovely to sit on the harbour in the evening and watch the trawlers unload the days catch . Round the harbour many eating places and a theme park ride for young and old. You can pick the time you want breakfast Breakfast is lovely choice off juices , cereals and yogurts and the full English which is excellent, be prepared to undo the button . From booking our break with Ricki and Kim we were made to feel very welcome from the start to finish, nothing is to much trouble they are very helpful and go out of there way to have a chat and make you feel welcome .  We would very much recommend the Ashford guest house to anyone wanting a short break or longer . Thank you Ricki and Kim hope to see you soon,

Excellent break

This lovely hotel sits within the outskirts of the town centre. The hosts Rick and Kim , were very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They explained the layout and a few rules but nothing to moan about . We were help to our room., which was on the second floor. The room was small but perfect, Rick explained about the shower and how to work it and the tea and coffee facilities. The bed was comfortable and the room was lovely and clean. 
Breakfast was at 9 am, you had a choice from a menu , which was cereal, cooked breakfast fruit and yogurt and tea, coffee and juice. This was such a pleasant stay and will definitely book again in the future .

Fantastic break

We stayed at Ashford House for a week and I have to say we had the best time. It was our anniversary on the day we arrived and we came back in the evening to find a card and box of chocolates on our bed from Kim and Rick (owners). Our room was a Paris theme and was very clean, comfortable and spacious. It was very hot while we were there and despite buying a small desk top fan for our room Kim put an extra tower fan in for us too. The breakfast was fantastic and cooked fresh to order. Great location and very friendly helpful owners. I would highly recommend Ashford House to anyone wishing to stay in Bridlington

Fantastic stay

Wry nice place and very nice people, room was modern and clean, breakfast was lovely. Overall I was very pleased.

Very pleased

Just come back from a 3 night stay at Ashford house with our friends. Kim & Rick made us very welcome and looked after us. The room (Paris room) was fantastic with a nice bathroom and comfy beds. Kim & Rick made us a lovely fresh cooked breakfast that set us up for the day. The best place we've stayed in Bridlington. Overall at was an amazing stay and we will definitely be back.

Weekend stay with friends

Recently returned from this homely B&B. Yet again we were warmly welcomed as we have been several times. Great perfect home cooked breakfast, nothing is too much trouble to make your visit a happy one. Great position near the promenade, very comfortable bed and very clean. Plenty of places to see along the coast including Whitby, Scarborough, Sewerby and many more. We are planning to return.
