We were there for a cycle event in Northallerton.  It was a great location - we could cycle to the start.  We were in room 1 - which had everything we needed and we could park very close to the room.  The only thing that could have been better was the bedside light - not bright enough to read by so you had to keep the main light on for reading.  The restaurant food in the evening was fantastic - ate there 2 nights and loved everything we ate.  Breakfast was good - nothing fancy, but did the job.  And all the staff were fantastic.  Really friendly and efficient.

Great place to stay for quick access to Northallerton, but in a great quiet spot

Chalet accommodation was quaint and just enough for what we needed it for. In a truly beautiful location.
Food is absolutely amazing, the choices are eclectic and the parmos were fab!
Breakfast, again was excellent. All meals came piping hot on hot plates, beautifully presented.
Kitchen staff should be proud of themselves, they're a credit to the team. Bar staff too.
Highly recommend.

Excellent food

We hired the small function room for our daughter’s 2nd birthday, and it was perfect from start to finish.
The staff were so helpful and friendly, and the food (a hot buffet of Sunday roast elements, Thai curry and lasagne) was absolutely spot on.

Perfect spot for an intimate function 

Ate here two nights in a row while on holiday in the village. It’s a big pub with lots of parking, but the welcome is warm and friendly from all the staff. The second time we went they had catered for two weddings, but they still gave the same personal service to those of us in the bar. Average prices.
The food is very good, with a varied menu perhaps leaning towards several different curries. Everything we had was delicious, the owner Donna, can certainly cook. There are some different dishes that you don’t often find in other places too.
A real asset to this very pretty village, we enjoyed our visit very much.

Good food and a warm welcome

Visited this place after a long long time and we were not disappointed.  
We will definitely be back. 
The menu is varied and certainly value for money.  
Two courses £15.  The portions were substantial.  
I was stuffed 😜
Very pleasant. Staff attentive.

Even a lovely choc with my latte.
Which is missing in many places these days.. sadly.  But needed as a nice touch to end the meal.

Excellent evening meal(recommend to book!) using local produce, really good service
Very comfortable room,lots of hot water,TV was perhaps a little small, but good clear picture
Breakfast, included in the price,was fantastic...full cream milk for the cereals, options for the full english,I had the scrambled eggs which were delicious,pots of tea/coffee freely available
We were traveling to Yorks for a particular reason and booked this B&B per chance due to its location...... would def recommend and would love to return soon for some more genuine Yorkshire hospitality 

What a gem

We went for Sunday Lunch today after a recommendation from my daughter, I wasn't expecting much, it was just another Sunday Lunch, we have had many some good, some average today was stunning. The price is unbelievably good for what you receive, the taste and presentation way above what I was expecting

Went to the village inn last night for the 3rd time. We don’t live in the area but visit friends in north allerton and requested with our friends to go back to the village inn. It didn’t disappoint…like usual the food, drinks and service was top class. Keep up the great work guys and we will be back. 👍👍

A must go when in north allerton

Good Location for visiting the area. The rooms are a chalet/motel type.  Basic but clean, adequate and comfortable and are a one minute walk from the main building.  Ample car parking outside your room. The breakfast is served in the main building.  Excellent choice of food.  The full English breakfast is excellently cooked, well served and plentiful.   Unlimited toast, coffee and/or tea.  The staff are friendly,professional and helpful.  If I had to be picky the TV in the room had limited channels and the main BBC channel was unobtainable.

A good pace to stay

Absolutely gorgeous Sunday lunch. Made with pure love and attention not just shot on a plate. So tasty and very generous portions! We had both beef and pork and both so delicious. Gorgeous dessert too, Eton Mess and Crème Brûlée we had today really nice! My father in law didn’t have a dinner he has the fish cake and said it was the best fish cake he has ever had! Definitely worth a visit.
