Two night stay. Rooms are extremely clean and beds are comfy. Room’s aren’t en-suite and, ultimately, it’s a pub with accommodation, but it’s great value and the owners couldn’t be more friendly.

Comfortable two night stay

Great little family hotel Room was lovely Bed and pillows very comfortable Hotel is in a great location For a walk to tge beach Very  centrally located in the heart of Cullen A Cooperative store close by A Fish and Chip shop A 2  minute walk away If you want a Alcoholic Drink The hotel has a small bar Used mainly by locals

My Visit

Warm welcome from the owners.
Ok hotel is old but the room we had was clean and cosy.
No food served but plenty places to experience nearby.
We had our dog with us and he was made very welcome too.
Some rooms share a bathroom but we had an ensuite.
Microwave in the room.
All in all we had a lovely time♥️

Weekend break

Spent 2 nights here. Room was super. Spacious, cosy, very comfortable bed, good sized walk in shower. Tea/coffee was provided and also a microwave, plates and cutlery with handy coop across the road. Hotel is genuinely pet friendly with our dog welcome in the bar as well as in our room. Owners are so friendly and welcoming. Excellent value ! 

Lovely stay in Cullen 

Myself and my husband and the dog  were meant to be headed off in a campervan, a bit of nc500 and possibly to Orkney, but after budgeting and realising we could litteraly fly round the world for the same price we were at home in Aberdeen with a few days off.

Refusing to spend the days at home we had a quick Google search and somewhere not too far away so the dog not too long in the car and ended up.in cullen for 2 nights.

I can't fault the place, the price we paid for the room was everything we needed, yes OK shared bathroom but we knew that on booking and it was fine. The whole of the UK is melting in the heat, so didn't appreciate the duvets as slept on top of them! But they feel like they would be super cozy in the cold. 

Our dog was welcomed with open arms, we had to sit inside in the bar with him in the afternoon as it was so hot outside and had great chats with the locals, a few games of pool and generally just enjoyed ourselves. 

We're given recommendations of where to eat by the owners, all great. We really enjoyed ourselves and given the prices of everything everywhere thought this was great value. 

Its a locals, mainly male pub, but we like the chat and comfort of these places so we're quite at home.

The owners also allowed us to pick up a takeaway and come back to the bar and eat it so we could sit in the bar. Lovely couple, lovely locals. Friendly bar. Basic rooms, but basic prices, so absolutely what I expected, in fact more - as I left the room in total tip, not expecting room service and came back to discover beds made, coffee replenshised, and my pyjamas under the pillow. Realise that's not to everyone's taste, but pretty sure if you told her not to bother with housekeeping it would make her day easier so win win all round! 

Wouldn't question staying again if up this area again. Thanks for a great couple of days. 

Great couple of days. 

Spent 2 nights here. Owners very friendly and helpful and our dog was made very welcome even by resident cat! Friendly, cosy bar. 
Room was very clean and well furnished and had everything you need- hairdryer,  good shower, tv and free WiFi and was well supplied with tea coffee, biscuits shampoo etc. 
Would definitely stay again!

Great value accommodation

We stayed in Cullen for a week and visited The Grant Arms most days.
Its a local pub with a great selection of malt whisky.
The owners are very friendky and along with the locals chatted away to us every time we were there.
A great place for an afternoon tipple and a perfect way to end the day

Very friendly place

I thought that I was entering a building site rather than a hotel.Once I managed to raise the owner,mainly due to the other guest,I was given my room which to its credit was clean but very very basic.No sink was a really bad start.
In my opinion this hotel should not be open.It was not expensive to its credit but it is not a hotel for a family but I was on my own so that was a blessing.
I like Cullen but will not be going back to the Grant Arms

No go

Had a great weekend in Cullen with most evenings spent in this bar. Very friendly staff, most welcoming. Didn't stay overnight but accommodation is targeted at locals working in the area - which may explain some of the reviews. Would highly recommend. 

Had a great time 

Loved this place . The owners are so friendly and go above to make you feel at home . The rooms are being refurbished , simple with shared bathroom . Very clean , bed very comfortable . Extremely close to centre of town & parking out the front . Had a drink in the Bar downstairs , it’s a Locals Pub we were included in all the conversation and made to feel very welcome . Only Hiccup , No Food at all . But shops all around you anyway .
