My husband and I have been coming to Portknockie self catering for 25 years  and we had previously eaten in Victoria but started to give it a miss then I decided to book for last night and straight away realised it had been taken over.
Dining room very bright and fresh not like previous times.
We got speaking with the lovely waitress who said they had been taken over.
I had the Sunday roast dinner comprising of Delicious tender beef,Yorkshire pudding, mash and roast potatoes and lovely veggies.
This was followed by almond and raspberry tart with ice cream.
Husband had ga.mon steak,pineapple veggies and chips followed by apple pi and custard.
Believe me I know about food and I can tell you this was absolutely first class.
Will we be back sure thing we will.
Waitress was first class lovely attitude towards customers.

Excellent Hotel

Myself & friend visited twice for dinner this week as we were on holiday in Portknockie. On both occasions we were impressed with the friendliness of the owners Dave & Lorraine , we felt at home straight away. The atmosphere was welcoming & on both occasions the food was delicious. We both had the chicken , bacon & leek pie on the first night & on our second visit we shared a bowl of Cullen skink soup , I had sirloin steak & Chris had the fish dish , all dishes were really great. Carrianne was our waitress on our first & was very friendly , capable & professional. Summer , our waitress on our second night was so nice as well. We both thought the meals were very reasonably priced as was the wine. We are returning to Portknockie next year & will definitely be coming back to The Victoria. Well done & thanks to everyone.

Excellent !!

Stayed locally and visited the pub and restaurant throughout the week. A very warm welcome to both. Had our evening meal there tonight- food was very tasty and service was very friendly and attentive despite being busy.  I’d go so far as to say the chips were better than the ones from the local chippy!  A wee game of connect 4 while we were waiting was fun too!  Hidden gem.

My mum and I had a lovely meal here this week. I had Cajun chicken and my mum had fish pie and both were excellent. Piping hot and very tasty. Mum had apple pie for dessert and again very tasty. 
As my mum said “proper food, like food should be.”
5 stars all the way.

The Hosts Davie & Lorraine were amazing their staff were lovely, the room was brilliant with a beautiful view, the food was delicious, the location was just what we was expecting all in all our4 night stay was perfect, so prefect we have rebooked for May❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Friendly staff and customers

We have stayed here many times, but this is the first time with the new owners Lorraine and David.
What a great stay!  Our room was well appointed and comfortable and we received a warm friendly welcome.  This hotel is perfectly positioned in the centr of the delightful village of Portknockie and the owners cater well for their guests. Breakfasts are continental in style, which makes a refeshing change from the full Scottish breakfast. There is plenty of choice, and more than enough to enjoy.  Evening meals are also available (except on Wednesdays). The menu is varied and offers some specials.  We certainly enjoyed our dinner. The food was very tasty.
We will definitely be back. 

Great value stay at The Victoria Hotel

Just came back from staying here for,unfortunately just one night, as we were going to a local event the next day, hotel is one of the friendliest place we have ever stayed in, even the locals were great, hotel is spotless and the bed is really comfy, there was 7 of us, we had evening meal, which was superb, great menu, and continental breakfast, which was really great, everything fresh, plenty fruit and yoghurts, we had a birthday celebration in our group, so birthday boy was presented with a birthday cake, Nothing was a problem for Lorraine and David, will definitely be back.

Absolutely fabulous stay at the Victoria, we stayed here for one week, with our little chihuahua Alfie. It was like home from home, nothing was to much trouble, very accommodating. Lorraine makes the best steak pie, it was that good I had it twice in a week. Thank you for making our weeks stay very special and also spoiling our little Alfie. I would definitely recommend staying at the Victoria, lovely owners, and lovely locals. So much to do and see, just perfect. Thank you so much. Bob, Mel and little Alfie. 

Victoria hotel PortKnockie

We had the best stay at Victoria Hotel. Dave and Lorraine were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to make our stay special.We were with friends and we all commented we had chosen a wonderful place to stay. We had a great room upstairs with a fantastic view. Breakfast was fabulous as well as our dinner . Very well run. Staff were great as well. We loved being able to walk to the water . Thank you for an great stay - can thoroughly recommend.
