Our party of three adults stayed for three nights in two rooms at the Priory Tearooms. We found both rooms to be extremely comfortable (1 x DB + excellent shower in each); being located to the rear of the tearooms they are perfectly shielded from any disturbance that may emanate from the main road, ensuring a restful night of sleep. For us Burford and the Priory Tearooms made an ideal base to explore the Cotswolds and confident we will return to both soon.

Not included in our room rate and offered at a discount, we did not take breakfast at the tearooms until the day of departure due to a full agenda. This was a mistake! I do not profess to being an expert, but this was one of the finest English breakfasts this Englishman has enjoyed in his almost 60 years!

Excellent breakfast and perfectly cooked. Welcoming staff and good value for money.

Plenty of competition in the area but very happy we chose the priory. 

If we are ever in the area again we will return. 

Breakfast!

The best sandwich, I have ever eaten! Beautiful fresh bread and a great choice.Good value and service in a stunning, bustling town. Outside seating is available both front and to the back of the restaurant and of course indoors. Whatever the weather, this is a good stop off to prepare you for the hill climb ahead up the high street! 

Best sandwiches ever!

This is exactly what you woukd expect from a cafe in an English Market town.  Nice courtyard which was having work done in it when we were there.  Cakes were nice enough and the bacon rolls were good.  Can't say much more as it was exactly as expected.

Lovely tea rooms and breakfast. (not included in room rate). 
The guest room was lovely especially the bathroom. Comfy bed, spotlessly clean and well decorated. The tea room garden  was also lovely and with table and chair outside our room, would have been perfect to sit out in if weather had been bit better. Position was also excellent for shops, restaurants.

Birthday Night in Burford

We popped in not expecting them to be serving as Huffkins up the hill had closed at 4pm and we thought perhaps most places were closing early that day.  We had a lovely Cream Tea, with homemade scones, and a large pot of tea to share.  The Coffee & Walnut cake was delicious too.

We booked our stay as we were dropping out step daughter off at brize RAF base. We had an issue with possibly not coming due to illness but Justin the manager couldn’t have made it any easier for us. 

We checked in quite late and the whole process was smooth. Rooms was the cleanest I’ve ever experienced, warm cozy and beds so so comfy!

Breakfast we were greeted by a lovely member off staff who couldn’t have done more for us, no wonder it was nice and busy!
The breakfast choice was right up our street and no issue at all with my fussy requirements 😂
We stay close to prize on a regular basis and this will certainly be our permanent new place.

What’s not to love?

Had a lovely overnight in Burford. Place is really nice and clean, very sweet smelling. The staff are kind and accommodating too. Breakfast is freshly cooked. Our only problem was we dont drive and the public transport isnt very accessible in this area. Other than that, we had a lovely time.

Lovely overnight

I just spent a night here with a friend and can highly recommend it. The rooms were lovely and clean and the bed was really comfortable. It’s run by really nice people and the food was great. Excellent value for money in a great location.

Lovely place to stay

Googled afternoon tea and found this place. So glad we did. Amazing food, lots of it and brilliant value. Fantastic service. We all loved it. The staff were very attentive and brilliant with my 3 year old grandson. And ‘doggy bag’ boxes provided as we couldn’t eat it all!!
