The rooms are good, there is acceptable pub restaurant food, well priced.
Only issue really is how noisy my room was that fronted the main road. There was quite a bit of traffic all through the night. Maybe some windows would benefit from better glazing??

Would stay again, but would insist on a room at the rear

The friendly staff served us with an excellent meal, providing burgers, stroganoff and the tastiest pie, not one with just a puff pastry lid but a proper pie.  It was a surprise that our server hadn’t heard of King Crimson but she committed herself to listening to In the The Court of The Crimson King, which was as impressive as the album itself.  A lovely atmosphere and highly recommended.

Great food in a great atmosphere.

If you want somewhere to stay which is totally dog friendly, serves good food, the staff are helpful the room is clean and  comfortable, with everything you require then Dunstan house Inn is the place to stay, great covered outside space definitely recommend 🙂

Half marathon running, needed a local place to stay

We loved our two night stay, the room was very clean and comfortable.  We had lunch one day which was very tasty and well cooked and ate in the area where the dogs are allowed as we have a dog but he was  not with us, but defintely next time.  All the dogs were well behaved and were a talking point for all us doggie owner which made for a very pleasant lunch and sausages were available to purchase for a nominal charge.  All the staff are very friendly and helpful.  Would only say that the snacks which are great and different are charged, so if you don't read the booklet you would not know.  Tea and coffee making facilities are very generous.

A beautiful room, welcoming staff and a great breakfast.  The snacks in the room, good toiletries, plenty of room to speak out and relax - they really had thought of everything.  Breakfast was exceptionally good and the staff were friendly and so, so helpful.

Wonderful attention to detail

Stayed for 2 nights in room 1 which is the family room. It was a really great size room. Sofa, coffee table, spare fold up bed, with en-suite bathroom which was a really good size too. Very clean, bed was comfy. Food was really great, had the full English in morning and a evening meal. Had a really relaxing enjoyable stay. 12 min walk to the sea front. 
My only negative was a bright green light that was above the door. This disturbed my sleep on 1st night. Spoke to a member of staff who said a few others have complained and they are hoping head office will listen and so something. 2nd night hubby put some masking tape over it. Really great night's sleep. Can't fault anything apart from the green laser beam at night. 

Lovely staff and relaxing stay

Dunstan House is a very smart pub with guest rooms above. It was warm and homely with friendly, helpful staff. The cooked breakfast was delicious, with cereal, pastries and fresh juice also available. I didn't have dinner but was impressed by the menu and had a desert which I enjoyed. There was only a single room left which was comfortable but I moved the bed as it was right up against the wall. I caught a glimpse of a double room which looked to be a good size, so I would definitely book if available. There were snacks in the room along with tea and coffee. There were nice toiletries in the bathroom. I really liked the decor throughout the building. 

An enjoyable stay and delicious breakfast! 

What a lovely room, felt like a home away from home. I will definitely be staying again next time I come, brilliant stay 🩷 I had the single room and couldn’t have asked for better! Cant wait to come again to try out the bigger rooms, my other family members stayed in those rooms and I was very jealous! Always there for next time! 

Home from home 💕

We held my father's wake for 25 people in the Inn's private room.  From start to finish, it was a pleasure dealing with the staff and any worries about whether this was the right venue were removed.  The chef provided a delicious buffet, plenty of food and catered for our two vegans which was expertly handled.  Leanne made a special effort to set up the room for us and she did an expert job.  We can't thank you enough for everything you did for us.

The pub is a little gem it’s welcoming the staff were lovely helpful and respectful the food was great and a good price the room was cosy and warm absolutely recommend the Dunstan and will be returning myself
