Amazing beautifull, friedly and helpfull lady on receiption went above to help, if you need help with anything just ask for Alison.

The hotel is in a nice location, very quiet location, the bar could do with more spirits

Amazing staff

Fantastic receptionists. Looked after my every whim (changed room to a downstairs one). Gave some chocolates to my children, when they arrived to see me for xmas. Very friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere and well kept (the hotel not the receptionists!)

Xmas cheer.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable but when we came into the hotel room it was very hot and stuffy which made our stay uncomfortable in that aspect. The room also seems very dated and some lights broken. Could use with a fix

Only come if you can handle the heat

We have visited this Premier Inn many times. It is usually a great family reunion, unfortunately this time was for a funeral. Our grandson Lucas suddenly passed away, he was one of two children of my son who died a few years ago in Swadlincote from a rare cancer. So in a few years we have lost our son and then our grandson, his son both far too young. Please thank all your staff from Thursday 4th January till the 7th January for going above and beyond to help us get through this difficult time. Thanks to Mark in the evening shift and Michelle and all her colleagues for doing anything they could to help our other 2 sons, granddaughter and Aunts and Uncles of them both.. they were very thoughtful and helpful and kind to all of us. So sorry I did not get all the names of the people that helped us all. Thank you Premier Inn, you lived up to your expectations and more for the whole family and ourselves.Thank you so very much for your support.. Linda Tony MORGAN.

Simply amazing people at the Premier Inn …… 82 ASHBY ROAD BRETBY.

I’ve made a complaint officially to Premier Inn via their website but have still not had a response to it. 

I was placed in room 5 which is off the main door as you enter the key carded area and right opposite the vending machine. 

All night people walked through the main coded door which made my room walls/door shake. When any key used the vending machine, the loud drop of drinks etc dropping into the basket and the loud bang of the door/flap was ridiculously loud. 

Who the effing hell chose to put a vending machine opposite a bedroom. Utterly dumb.

Room 5 Avoid- Very Loud

£80 difference between midweek night stay, had to switch dates weeks in advance. Double the price from Monday/Tuesday. Tv in room tiny, could barely see writing on it from bed. Restaurant next door shambolic! So many unhappy customers. As a solo traveller it took over an hour for one main course which I had to chase and was told ticket lost. 2 hours for a main and dessert, a discount could not be offered as had the meal deal voucher so no option but to stay and wait. Really disappointing stay for the price paid for the room. 

Poor value for money

Outside very shabby and uninviting. Reception polite and professional. No lift. Disabled unfriendly. Corridor downstairs smells of sewers. Like a rabbit Warren. Outlay confusing and not very well laid out could be cleaner. Duvet on bed had black marks on. Not enough beverages in room. Put at furthest room and am on walking stick with bad hip and knee. Stanhope arms next door appalling. Food served cold. No tables cleared of plates or glasses Staff unhelpful. Very noisy at night. Have never stayed on such a very shabby and disoriented Premier Inn. Had a very poor impression and experience of this hotel. Needs a complete overhaul or knocking down.

Very poor and disappointing. 

Hotel a bit run down but team fantastic. Alex on reception was very helpful. Not much around the area. Came for a funeral. Room had everything I needed, bed, shower, kettle etc. what else do you need?

Quick trip

Arrived for breakfast about 10.00am. Took a while for someone to come and take our order. There was no butter, no mugs and the bread had been out for sometime. Made toast to eat while waiting for food. At just gone 11 the waitress came out and asked if we had eaten - it then transpired the kitchen had lost our order. We asked of they could bring some toast with the breakfast as everything had been packed away - but the waitress refused. Not worth £10 when you cant even make a warm cuppa or tea to have when the food comes. Hotel was dated and dirty and drab looking. 

Breakfast was a nightmare

Hotel: disappointing/needs updating 
Wasn't cheap. Rooms didn't have enough lights in. Bathroom falling apart. Corridors smelled musty/like a toilet

I regularly stay away for work and choose premier inns as "you know what you're getting" 
This hotel is very disappointing. The carpark is on the other side of a busy main road. You have to play frogger every morning to get to your car. 
The room had one light in that wasn't bright enough. Had a desk in a dark corner of the room. No light for that. No light near the door. 

Bathroom as shabby and not on a good way. Bath panel didn't fit. The mirror was rusty and the silicone was mouldy. 
It wasn't cheap either. I'm back in the area area next week and not staying at this hotel. Staying at the Hilton for another £30 a night. 

Take some of the money you charge and update the hotel please
