Beautiful building with a very warm welcome. 
Stayed in Tutbury for three nights at the Dog. The rooms are spectacular. Made by the age of the building. Packed full of character. 
The bedrooms are large and spacious and each one is unique. 17th Century coaching houses weren’t built uniformly… The beds are large and comfortable and for a very cold December stay they are very warm.. 
Food at the hotel is good and there is a great selection of ales to choose from. 
The warm welcome from everyone makes a stay here a special stay be it the staff or villagers who use the bar as their local. 
I am already looking forward to my next visit and I will definitely stay here again 

Faultless 

This was my first time staying here and I was so impressed. The staff were all so lovely and accommodating, they were more than happy to help. The food was great and the service we received was perfect. The room itself was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Great stay

A great stay overall for me and my other friends. Food is amazing and has a overall friendly service. Will definitely go again. Manager is exceptionally helpful and provided a good price for my stay. 

Amazing 

I arrived at the restaurant hoping for a table (I had not prebooked) and was accommodated on a table by the lovely roaring fire. The barman and waiting staff were efficient and helpful. The turkey roast dinner was divine and I also enjoyed the coffee and mini pudding option afterwards. I thoroughly enjoyed by meal and in such a beautiful historic building. 

Sunday roast 

I’ve stayed here before but not written a review and thought now is the time. 

A listed building full of character with individually decorated rooms. Comfortable and reasonably priced 

It’s that time of year (nearly) where you get the waft of mulled wine freshener, 

Food last night was the steak and ale pie, if you’re hungry this is for you, large pie, chips and veg with a pot of gravy

A treat away

Popped into Ye Olde Dog & Partridge on our way home from a day out with the kids. Great food and service. We were seated quickly and they had good food choices. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Recommend.  

Evening meal

Full of character & perfectly situated for a trip to Uttoxeter Races. Friendly staff. Clean & comfortable rooms. Reasonably priced. Free car parking. Decent breakfast. Give Tutbury Castle (a 5 minute walk away) a visit while you are there. Not much of it left but still very interesting

A quirky little gem

Disastrous meal .If you like camembert without taste of rosemary or garlic and rump steak paraded as sirloin steak with garlic mushroom sauce without garlic go here you will love it!! Also the sous-chef at the bar just saying TripAdvisor mate not listening to criticism of the meal go here .  Front of house exceptional and tried to help the situation.

We are so happy that we decided to stay at Ye Olde Dog & Partridge Tutbury, for our week stay, as we live abroad, from the minute we arrived the Hospitality was 1st class, really can't thank them enough for the warm  & friendly welcome by all of the staff.
Food was excellent
Room was lovely & Clean, excellent house keeping
They really did go above & Beyond, nothing was too much trouble.
A special thank you to Mark the Manager & Fern our stay was lovely ,we had a early flight home and Mark the Manager made a little bag of Pastries & Muffins for us because he knew we wouldn't be there for the lovely cooked English Breakfast that morning.
Thank you Team Dog & Partridge 100%  RECCOMEND Staying here, We would definitely stay at the Dog & Partridge again, couldn't find a fault & we are quite fussy.

Excellent Week Stay at The Dog & Partridge Tutbury, Staffordshire

Greeted on arrival by very pleasant staff and shown immediate to our table.
We (party of three) were extremely well looked after by Parker who was very attentive throughout. Great service and great food for a very reasonable price. Food could have been a little hotter when it arrived at the table but this certainly did not spoil the afternoon.
All in all a very good experience . We will return
