Well what can I say, Christmas lunch certainly did not disappoint, absolutely delicious along with the lovely professional staff and owners, nothing is ever too much trouble. You are made to feel welcome as soon as you step inside. 
This is our second year having Christmas lunch here and I’m sure it will definitely not be the last. Thank you again for a fabulous time.

I came here had a fabulous evening and meal The room was beautiful and I’ll definitely be coming back great bottle of Prosecco in the room complimentary Andy ice was extra chilly I will definitely be returning wonderful country retreat. Louis and Michael are fabulous owners and I’ve put a lot of effort into restoring this fabulous building.

My art group went for our Christmas celebration. We had a beautiful private dining room and the food was outstanding.  The Christmas menu catered for all tastes and everyone was very happy. The blazing fire in the dining room added to the beautiful Christmassy ambience. 

A splendid Christmas party destination

I have been wanting to visit Worlington for a while further to good reviews from friends and thought Christmas would be the ideal time to treat the family to a lunch here.
We all came away underwhelmed and very disappointed.

When we arrived there was no one to greet us and we wandered until we found the bar ( with no staff there either.)

We has planned to have a drink prior to our meal but the lack of staff and service meant we didn't have that option as we only had 2 hours at the table due to an appointment after our lunch.  ( We waited almost 20 minutes to be served before giving up finding the dining room ourselves.)

The waiter who served us was perfectly affable, efficient and helpful ( although the drinks order at the end of the meal unfortunately was incorrect.)

It was the food that was the biggest disappointment- we had chosen the festive menu and all had the main turkey dish which unfortunately consisted of a mix of overcooked potatoes and Yorkshire puddings ( which we left most of due to the burnt tops and difficult to cut and chew potatoes.) The sprouts were undercooked and hard and the parsnips were soggy as they had been placed under the meat and gravy in a tower. The meat seemed like it was pre sliced cuts rather than carved from the bird turkey. ( Forgive me if that's untrue but each slice was the same uniform size and was under cooked.)

The room itself is nicely decorated and perhaps it is much better to visit during the evening rather than in the day as it was vey quiet when we were there.

Perhaps our expectations were too high but no one checked on how things were  during our meal and the manager didn't ask how the meal was and even when we left there was no one  to be seen in the restaurant or bar again. 
The only person we saw was the one waiter and the chef/ kitchen staff who we could hear talking and singing in the kitchen throughout our meal.

It's sad as I genuinely REALLY wanted to love WH and had hoped to put it on my list as a " must visit" when friends and family stay.
Style over substance and a lack of customer service and poor food at a high price made for a disappointing visit for us all.

Disappointing

5/5! Could not fault a single thing! Found this hotel on a whim for mine & my partners anniversary. Stayed in the Victoria room which was stunning! One of the best rooms we’ve ever stayed in, the bath was a gorgeous addition to the room! Along with the complimentary Prosecco! Beautifully decorated!
The hotel through-outs decor is gorgeous, to a very high standard! Cocktails & wine in the bar were delicious!
Dinner was incredible! All 3 courses we could not fault! 
This was our first visit, and definitely won’t be our last! Can’t wait to return!
Staff were lovely!
Thank you all for making our anniversary weekend an unforgettable one!

WOW WOW WOW

We visited here for Sunday lunch today and were very impressed.. not only with the food which was delicious (we all had the roast beef) but the service and staff were both excellent. We were seated in the bar on our own but arrangements were made for us to move to the restaurant, we decided to stay as it was very comfortable and my 90 year old mum loved the open fire! I would definitely recommend and will return!

Family Sunday Lunch

One of, if not the best, experience in eating out over the last 25 years. Food quality was outstanding - we picked a wide variety of options - fillet steak and venison being particularly well received. Staff were attentive but not obsequious! The range of cocktails was, again, well received. We chose the private dining room for a family celebration and for a small extra charge we had a wonderful evening in front of the log fire. The icing on the cake was the reading of Winnie the Pooh in the toilets! 

Superb quality food, friendly staff, a fabulous atmosphere 

We enjoyed Sunday lunch as a group of 12, 1 a baby  in a high chair. The whole experience was faultless and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. The food was presented beautifully and the staff were fantastic. Thank you all for a fab late afternoon. 

Sunday lunch

We thought we would treat ourselves this year and have Christmas lunch out, wow what a great decision. So glad we chose this beautiful place, Lunch was absolutely faultless from canapés to champagne. Staff were so professional and friendly, they honestly couldn’t do enough for us. They really made our Christmas special. If you haven’t been here you really are missing out. This is definitely our favourite place to dine out. 

We also had two Separate Christmas get togethers here again faultless. Thank you!!

Absolutely faultless

We had the pleasure of hosting our works Christmas party here in December & oh my goodness it did not disappoint in any way!  I stayed in the "Elizabeth" room which is huge & fabulous with great views out across the grounds of the garden & beyond.  Everything tiny little detail is thought out even down to the small bottle of milk in the fridge for a cuppa & the very nice complimentary mini bottle of Prosecco too!  The cocktail bar is beautiful, the restaurant fabulous & the lounge bar amazing!  The meal was superb & staff very attentive & we all thoroughly enjoyed it all.  Relaxing in the lounge bar at the end of the night with a roaring log fire just topped the night off to perfection.  And just when you thought that was it, can I just say, breakfast!!  Oh my goodness, fabulous, fabulous!!  Would definitely recommend Worlington Hall, if it's for breakfast, lunch, dinner with friends or a group of you or even just for drinks you will not be disappointed in any way!  Thanks everyone who made our night/stay/ so memorable.  Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone!  Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures to post as we we all enjoying ourselves too much!
