My daughter and I stayed 1 night as we were going out in Cambridge…I wish we could have stayed longer! 
This was the cleanest guest house I have ever stayed in, not a speck of dust anywhere…you’d believe it had just been refurbished!  Great host in Al who was there when we arrived, he’d already sent lots of info in advance on buses from the station etc but gave us helpful tips on transport for the evening.  We didn’t use the kitchen or have time to partake of the cereal and yoghurts provided free unfortunately but little touches like slippers and water in the room were very nice.  The bathroom was huge!  
There was traffic noise as we were at the front but the comfortable bed and pillows made sure we weren’t aware of it for long as we were fast asleep!  I hope we get to come back again soon,

The cleanest guesthouse I’ve ever stayed in!!

This is a fabulous B&B within walking distance of town - there is a regular bus service nearby for those who need the bus. The whole place was exceptionally clean and the owner friendly and full of good suggestions for eating and sights. We had a great stay and would not hesitate to book again.

Exceptional B&B

I’ve been a regular guest since January 2016, the year I stayed a 100 days here.
And I still keep coming back, several times every year.
It is always a pleasure to live in Autumn House. Great friendly hospitality and top standard in every detail. Very clean and high standard accommodation I will recommend for everyone. Not only for short stays. You reach the city centre in few minutes with the bus, or even by a refreshing short walk to nice restaurants and pubs.

Perfect accommodation.

Easy to find, good parking, close bus stop for city. Very friendly owners, exceptionally clean and well kept , bed very comfortable, breakfast facilities also great. Cannot fault this bed and breakfast, outstanding value for money.

Weekend Break

What a great guesthouse, very clean and in a great location, walking distance to the city centre.

The free parking spaces are always a bonus. 

Special mention to the owner, Al, what a great chap he is, very friendly and always happy to help. 

Highly recommend and definitely I will be back next time I come to Cambridge.

Our 3 night stay was superb! Very clean and comfortable room number 1. Al was very pleasant and very informative! Would most definitely recommend this BB.

Superb!

Autumn House is well situated, just a short bus ride from Cambridge station. The room, kitchen/breakfast area and lounge were immaculately furnished and maintained. We stayed on a cold wet February weekend and it was a joy to come ‘home’ to such a warm welcoming house after a day exploring the museums. 
Tea, coffee, yoghurts, cereal and milk were all provided on a serve yourself basis which suited us well, and after eating out two days it was handy that we could use the oven to heated up some food on the third evening. 
I will definitely recommend Autumn House to friends and would stay here again next we visit Cambridge.

Little gem

What a great welcome from Al with good info regarding transport to city centre, we like to walk so great info on this too. All details regarding local food stores and restaurants/takeaways. The room was at the rear, so clean and so warm (we like cool) but no probs. Al provided a light breakfast DIY, nice and quite for sleeping and no noisy neighbours coming in late at night. Can't fault this accommodation would definatley return.

Great Weekend in Cambridge

So the wife and I stayed at this B&B for two nights in Oct 2019. Arrived quite late, however, the owner Al was still there to greet us and show us around the property. He was very helpful and friendly. 

We had a room upstairs to the front of the house over looking the main road. 

The room was very nice, clean and had everything you would need. Good size shower and shampoo and shower gel was provided. The only issue was the traffic noise, I like to have a window open at night. If you have the window shut you probably won’t hear it. Alternatively try and get a room at the back of the house.

Downstairs there is a living room which guests can use up until 11pm. This consisted of a sofa, tv and Kitchenette. There was a fridge also in there to store stuff should you wish. Nice idea.

Breakfast was full English and other hot options were available. Cereals, yoghurts also available. All really nice. 

There is parking at the front of the house.

The b&b is about 45 mins walk into town. There is an Indian and Thai restaurant about 5-10 minute walk away.

October 2019

The owner did everything he could to make us welcome from the time we booked to when we arrived. He even gave us a ring to let us know that an early arrival would not be a problem. 

We were made to feel at home from the moment we got there. All of our questions were answered and our order for breakfast taken. A map of the city with the appropriate bus routes, including tips on how to know where to get on and off the bus. We were able to leave our car and just take the bus (the stop was 3 min. walk from the B&B) everywhere. 

There is a lounge with a small kitchen (no hob) for use by the residents if they want to make small meals or get a takeaway and watch some television. The breakfast room was well presented and cheerful. The rooms were lovely with a clean, fresh look and bathrooms that look like they have just been refurbished. Everything from the shower to the bed to the glasses and teacups was done to a high standard. The room had everything we needed with plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and even bottles of water. 

The breakfasts were lovely and plentiful. We definitely did not go hungry. My partner is particularly fussy about food as he likes to cook hîmself but even he thought the food was very well done. Tasty and well cooked with plenty of choices.  

It was clear that much thought was given over to what the customer would want and everything that could be done was. It was an extremely pleasant stay and we will be going again. I don't think we would entertain staying anywhere else now that we've been here. It was a pleasure from start to finish.
