Beautifully decorated and appointed Guest House.  Large tasty breakfasts with a good choice on offer.  Warm & cosy bedrooms and very spacious rooms. Loved the black jack toffees left for us each day, nice touch. Nice bathroom and furnishings. The hosts were lovely people, very knowledgeable about the area. They made us very welcome. The house is on a very busy road and we did hear traffic noise when trying to sleep. Big comfy beds though.  The house is spotlessly clean throughout. The only problem we had was the amount of walking we had too do to get into the centre of Cambridge which was a long 25-30 minute walk across Jesus Green park. Would highly recommend Lynwood House.

Lovely Guest house

Stayed here for 4 nights on our first visit to Cambridge. Our hosts Julie and Nick gave us a very warm welcome and were most helpful and informative about the area. Breakfast was amazing with mostly home made muesli fresh fruit and granola. It was cooked to order and it was no bother to them to mix and match to your tastes. Our room number 2 at the back of the house was very comfortable quiet and spotlessly clean but was a bit on the small side. This didn’t bother us too much as we were out all day. Free car parking was not a problem. Would thoroughly recommend this B & B and would stay here again. 

Excellent 

We stayed in this location for three nights in late September. All the rooms have been refurbished to a very high standard. The bath facilities were the best we have seen in two long visits to England. The rooms are very comfortable and relaxing. The breakfasts are served hot to order. The hosts, Nick and Julie, are wonderful to work with and are a mine of information about the Cambridge area.  Good pubs very nearby and city centre Cambridge is a very easy fifteen minute stroll away. We give Lynwood absolute top marks in all areas. We look forward to our next visit.  

Superb B & B

We spent a couple of days in Cambridge visiting a friend and found this B&B on booking.com. Lynwood house had excellent reviews and our stay lived up to those reviews.
The room was extremely comfortable giving a very good nights sleep. The standard of the ensuite was exceptional.
The hosts were extremely helpful and catered well for my dietary needs (Coeliac) the breakfast was very good.

Luxury B&B

Don’t be fooled by it’s outside appearance. The seven room bed and breakfast has been completely remodeled and is very modern spacious and comfortable. The hosts were quite nice and provide a wonderful English breakfast. 

Marvelous Cambridge lodging

Affordable, comfortable, clean and a great breakfast. All within a 5 minute walk to Jesus Green, 10 minutes to Kettles Yard, and 15 minutes to the colleges. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in Room 5, a very spacious room with two sitting chairs, located on the first floor at the front of the hotel and with a very nice modern en-suite. It's on a busy road with traffic noise and has old sash windows, but the hosts have provided a fan that helps to cancel the noises and keep the room cool at night with the windows closed. We slept comfortably. Includes a Nespresso machine (nice touch!) and very nice tea service. Has 3 parking spaces in front.

Great choice for parents visiting a Cambridge student

We used as a B&B whilst visiting the City. Easy to find, for Cambridge.  Managed to park on the front drive - a real benefit.  Room comfortable and clean but some road noise we got used to (first room on right, ground floor).  Pleasant walk along the river or across the park into the colleges / town centre.  Breakfast was superb.  Will re-visit as do our friends. WE paid £250 for 2 nights in October 2019

Well run, clean, comfortable rooms with riverside short walk to central Cambridge

Whilst the price per night is towards the upper middle / top end in my opinion it is money well spent. It is very rare to stop anywhere these days without something that was not up to scratch but not here. Room 5 was spacious and very comfortable with a lovely large bathroom. The bedding was top of the range and just the job for falling into after a long day sightseeing around Cambridge. The breakfasts are superb with something for everyone and if you want anything just ask and it will appear on your table minutes later. The hosts will answer any questions you have if you are visiting Cambridge and need any hints and tips during your stay. It is a 15 to 20 walk into the city and the house is on a bus route should you need it. We will certainly look no further than Lynwood House when we next visit Cambridge

Top notch Bed and Breakfast

Booking process & check in was smooth. 
Julie have great advice about Cambridge. Room was very clean and well decorated. It was big enough for our needs (a couple of days away) and bathroom well presented. Breakfast was delicious and provided for those didn’t get up on time! Great place, would definitely book again! Highly recommend. 

Great visit, excellent b n b.

Spent two nights here. Comfy bed in a smallish room. Nice selection of teas and coffee in room. Bathroom was very small, and the sink was really too small for a bathroom. The owner was very accommodating when I required an early check-in. The hotel is not far from the centre of Cambridge - a 10-15 minute walk. The breakfast was one of the best I've had, and cooked to order. It may be that Cambridge is in a bubble with a shortage of hotels but I felt this was an expensive stay, but that cost was comparable to other local hotels. I would definitely stay here again.
