Caroe Farmhouse is the perfect place from which to explore the stunning North Cornwall coastal region.

Cynthia & Brian welcome you into their beautiful home with open arms and are always on hand to offer advice on the local area, whether that's places to visit or restaurant recommendations.

We stayed in the Jamaica room, the bathroom is huge with a lovely large walk-in shower. The bed was super comfy and due to the quiet, rural location of the farmhouse you're sure to have a peaceful nights sleep.

A final mention must go to Cynthia's breakfasts. Fresh fruit salad and a full English cooked exactly how you like it.

Thank you both, we really do hope to visit again in the not too distant future.

Beautiful Farmhouse B&B

Cynthias warm and friendly greeting welcomed us to this perfectly located hideaway. We stayed in the wonderfully comfortable Poldark room which had everything we needed and was  decorated with some of Brian’s fantastic paintings. 
Beautifully prepared breakfasts ,to suit one’s own preferences, set us up for a days’ exploring this charming and picturesque corner of Cornwall. 
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Caroe Farmhouse and we will definitely stay here again next time we come down to the West Country.

Perfect

We have just enjoyed a lovely three night stay at Caroe Farmhouse  B&B in the Poldark Room. A twin bedded room, rather than double, anywhere these days is as rare as hen's teeth, so it was a relief to find one as spacious, clean and well fitted out as ours.  Calm decor, tastefully furnished, comfy beds with quality bedding, a bright and spotless en-suite and a well stocked tea tray - everything we'd hoped for. 
Cynthia and Brian were excellent hosts, welcoming us on arrival with a cup of tea. The full English breakfast was delicious and well cooked, the star of the local produce being the sausages - oh, and the eggs! - and the bacon!  All a real treat - as was Cynthia's excellent fresh fruit salad every morning.  
The location of the property at the end of a tiny lane and next to a honey farm, but close to the A39, makes it a tranquil haven with beautiful far-reaching views, yet offering quick and easy access to all the stunning attractions Cornwall has to offer.  For us it was about the Arthurian legend, the neolithic standing stones, the varied and stunning scenery.  
Caroe Farmhouse is not a farmhouse in the sense of in a working farm - it's a large, handsome and well appointed private home.  Cynthia and Brian have managed to achieve the perfect balance between privacy for guests and their own privacy in their own home.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Caroe Farmhouse B&B to anyone (travelling without children or pets) looking for a well located, clean and peaceful place to stay. 

Peaceful and perfect

Perfectly peaceful. We have, today, returned home from a 3 night stay at Caroe Farmhouse and can tell you that there is nothing not to love about this place. Cynthia and Brian are welcoming, interesting and so warm and friendly. They gave us information about the area and offered to book reservations at recommended places for supper. Caroe Farmhouse, being only a short drive from the coast, is perfectly situated for those who wish to explore this beautiful, rugged area of Cornwall. An amazing breakfast set us up each morning for a day of discoveries - we fitted so much in in our weekend and will definitely be back for more. Thank you so much, Cynthia and Brian, you are two in a million!

Perfect hosts, amazing place.

A gorgeous B and B, set in a beautiful and tranquil location. It’s 10 minutes away from major attractions like Tintagel Castle and Merlin’s Cave. The hosts are warm and welcoming and the breakfasts are truly delicious.
The decor is exquisite and neutral tones and Laura Ashley furnishings add a touch of glamour and luxury to your stay. The farmhouse has connections to a famous author and illustrator too…

Tranquil hideaway

This B&B has to be one of the best & most relaxing in Cornwall. Max guests are 8 people. We’ve just returned from 7 days of much needed R&R. The owners Cynthia & Brian cannot do enough for their visitors. We met fellow guests from Europe & Canada & different parts of the UK. All commented on the all round quality. 
Room cleanliness & freshness matches any top class hotel. As does the breakfast. We most definitely will be returning.

The best relaxing break ever

Three nights stay here was excellent. Cynthia is a welcoming host, she had had a recent hip op so was helped by her son at breakfast time. Good cook with plenty of choices.
The room was comfortable with attractive furnishings, en suite with large shower, plentiful towels.
Fully recommend this property. Close by is Boscastle. Tintagel and Port Issac ( Doc Martins place) so plenty to keep you busy.

Peaceful location

We were attending an event at the nearby Wyldes Festival site and found this to be an ideal location being a 10 minute drive away. Lovely room (Poldark). Everywhere spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. Cynthia and Bryan were friendly, helpful and lovely to chat to. Would recommend to others without hesitation.

Great location

Just stayed here for 5 nights in the Jamaica room. B&B is in a nice, quiet location, a beautiful homely farmhouse. Cynthia & Brian really were the loveliest of hosts. Could not do enough for us and made us feel so welcome, like part of the family. Room was beautiful, tasteful decor and so comfortable with a beautiful bathroom with hot, powerful shower and twin sinks. Sam the cleaning lady was also lovely. Breakfast was plentiful with fresh, local produce. My hubby fell in love with Cynthia’s fruit salad. We really were sad to leave. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Exceptional B&B with the loveliest hosts

After many months of lockdowns, vaccinations and queues for all sorts of things my wife and I decided we simply had to get away from it all - and where better to visit for a few days than Cornwall?!
So after much Internet surfing we came across Caroe Farmhouse - and what a find it was! This beautiful farmhouse set in lovely surroundings with far reaching views of the Cornish countryside  delivers everything a B&B should....
From the moment we arrived we were treated as old friends by our hosts Cynthia and Brian -  tea & cake in the delightful farmhouse kitchen then up to our beautuful room to recover from the 5 hour drive.
The room was spotless in every way and extremely comfortable. The ensuite was equally good, with a really impressive high pressure shower to boot. 
A measure of how much care Cynthia and Brian put into their business was when a minor issue arose in our room.... this was swiftly resolved without any fuss to our complete satisfaction.
After a great night's sleep we were treated to an even better breakfast! Done just the way I like it and plenty of it too!
We're so glad we happened on Caroe Farmhouse - especially after nearly booking one of the ghastly places in Bude beforehand.... we will certainly be returning on our next trip to Cornwall!
