What a wonderful experience we enjoyed at the Dellwood Hotel in Cambletown, Scotland! Wonderful bed & breakfast; hosts could not have been more positive, courteous, polite and helpful. Our trip included a tasty Scottish Breakfast cooked on demand; the rooms were comfortable, spacious, clean and we felt right at home.  We can't say enough good things about the experience and our hosts. If ever visiting Cambeltown, my wife and the friends we travelled with would highly recommend a reservation at the Dellwood!

Wonderful Stay at the Dellwod Hotel in Campbeltown, Scotland!

Dellwood is a family owned and run hotel close to the centre of Campbeltown.  It is a beautiful traditional stone built villa set back from the road in its own lovely grounds with ample private parking.  Our hosts were the proprietors, Tracey and Bruce Strang, who greeted us - and our dog - with a very warm welcome to their home.   The couple were so friendly and accommodating and so knowledgeable about the area especially as from the area themselves.    My partner and I spent a lovely weekend at the hotel.  Our room was one of two in the annex which has its own separate entrance which was ideal with having the dog.    Our lovely, recently decorated room was very clean, comfortable and cosy with everything we needed and more.   There was plenty of hot water for showers with soft, freshly laundered towels provided.  In the main part of the hotel is a grand entrance hallway and staircase with interesting original features and family photographs.   The spacious, comfortable guest lounge has high ceilings and a bay window overlooking the front garden.  The lovely room had recently been decorated  and carpeted.  The adjoining bar area was lovely too with fresh decor and very interesting family memorabilia.   Our delicious, freshly cooked to order, breakfast was served by our hosts in the dining room which was very clean and tidy.  The hotel was lovely and warm despite the cool October temperatures outside.   Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we look forward to returning in the future.

Lovely family owned hotel.

Had a great stay in this charming hotel close to the center of town, on our stay in last month with friends. Bruce and Tracey were fun, gracious and very welcoming. The rooms were comfortable, and Tracey cooked us delicious made to order breakfasts. When we had issues with changes in our upcoming travels, they very helpful in getting us sorted. Highly recommend the Dellwood Hotel!! 

Delightful stay!

Absolutely great hotel for a 2* hotel. Rooms were spotlessly clean, plenty room, breakfast was excellent. Proprietors were first class and did anything for you. Ideally situated. Will certainly be back.

Halloween 

My partner Jacob and I stayed here unexpectedly and we are so glad we did. As soon as we arrived 
we were immediately made to feel welcome and at home. The hotel room was very cosy and warm. The bed was super comfy. The woman at breakfast was so lovely and attentive and made the most delicious breakfast. The couple running the hotel were so so lovely. Absolutely went above and beyond for us. We checked out in the morning and our car wasn't starting, The couple then helped us arrange a garage to come and have a look at it when they obviously didnt need to at all. Genuinely the most lovelist people. Would definitely love to come back to stay. 10 stars 🌟 

10 stars. Would love to stay again

Just spent a weekend at this lovely hotel , the owners Bruce and tracey and staff were excellent . Nothing was 2 much for them . On Saturday night they joined us in the lounge for a wee chat and Bruce done some magic tricks for the children that left the adults flabbergasted and shocked as well how he did them . The breakfast is excellent.  Hotel and rooms spotless . Over all 11 out of 10 . Would recommend it highly and we will be back

Great hotel value for money

The Dellwood is advertised as a family hotel, and this turned out to be  100% true rather than a sales pitch.  Tracey and Bruce are delighful hosts - cheerful, helpful and welcoming.  All the food is home - cooked, and includes traditional Scottish dishes, sometimes with a contempory twist.  The quantity matches the quality - bring your walking boots or bike if you want to burn off the calories!  I was in Campbeltown working (as a locum GP) so the location was ideal for me. It is a short stroll into town, and also gives access to Kintyre's beautiful coast.

Great welcome and fantastic traditional food

Tracy, Bruce and their staff were very welcoming and made you feel at home. Food was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were clean, warm spacious. Would definitely stay here again if we were ever back in the area

Removal team from yorkshire

Stayed at the Dellwood for 4 nights as in the area for work . Tracey & Bruce  made us feel most welcome  and along with their staff, were feindly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and warm, plenty of hot water for bath and showers.Also had comfortable sofa.  The food was excellent with generous portions and Tracey went out of her way to provide Gluten free food as I am Coeliac.  We enjoyed some evening meals  at the Hotel but when not available Tracey & Bruce pointed us in the direction of some lovely restaurants.  A very enjoyable stay

Hospitality excellence

We had a pair of rooms, set in an annex with a separate entrance from the hotel itself.  the rooms are spacious, tidy and well equipped. Essentially the hotel is a B&B only but there are ample amenities a few minutes walk away. Breakfast is excellent and the owners are friendly and helpful. Some of the other residents were working in the area and to me the hotel represents an extremely attractive stopover and great value. Would we go again, definitely!
