I come to Canterbury every Easter. Walked past this Gastropub so many times. Always thought it looked promising. Finally today I ventured in. All those wasted years!!! Best meal I’ve ever had in Canterbury. Fish stew plus a simple shandy. When a pub can make a shandy flavourful, you know you are in the right place. I swear you can taste the Kentish hops in whatever beer they’ve used. The fish stew is perfect too. The atmosphere simple and welcoming. The staff are excellent. Makes guy even have to have a pudding and I never do that. Don’t wait as long as I have to visit!

Why didn’t I dine here years ago?

We stayed overnight on a Winterstay offer, £150 for bed, breakfast and 3 course evening meal. We have stayed at The Millers Arms on numerous ocassions and always enjoyed the location as it is just a gentle stroll into Canterbury with its history, shopping area, bars and restaurants. On arrival we asked to change rooms as we were allocated quite a cramped room, staff in reception were amazing and patient while we were shown several rooms until we were happy. The rooms are looking quite tired and would certainly benefit from some attention but were comfortable during stay. All meals were of a good quality and enjoyable, staff were very attentive during our stay.

Winter stay.

Stayed for a friends 40th, Lovely rooms right in the centre of Canterbury and right across from a large car park we got a great price for the room including breakfast and the pub also does a parking deal for £12. Breakfast was absolutely lovely, not a buffet which was a nice treat! Will definitely be staying again when we are in Canterbury.

Breakfast is fantastic! Great location!

I stayed here with my husband for the weekend as we were on a local course. The room was small but clean and the bed was very comfortable , however the room was was a little draughty and cold. I believe this was due to it being an old building and having sash windows. The bathroom had a macerator which awoke when the loo was flushed and the cold tap was used, both by us and another room, so could be pretty noisey. However in general we were all considerate so was quiet in general during the night. 
 I've got to say, the staff were all friendly and very nice and helpful. The food was brilliant and the fish and chips we had was fantastic - the fish was as fresh as Id ever eaten and cooked with light batter. Good choice of breakfast menu and well cooked. 
The car park was £12 for 24 hours across the road.  which worked out cheaper than paying at the car park itself.

Two night recent stay.

The Millers Arms used to be the main pub that I visited with my friends when I used to live 2 doors down from it in Canterbury, so out of sentiment, we went there for dinner last night.
We received a warm welcome from staff, drinks and food were reasonably priced and we enjoyed our meals. The Millers Arms had the usual warm atmosphere, the same armchairs that we used to sit in were there, as well as the table that my labrador once cleaned all the glasses off with one swoop of his tail. The only thing missing were my friends who have long moved on from Canterbury.
The Millers Arms is about a 5-10 minute walk from High Street, it is a pub that offers accommodation, meals and alcohol. It's a great place to be in winter and a great place to be in summer when they open their beer garden.

Warm friendly atmosphere.

My wife and I stayed for the 3 nights over the weekend. Could not fault the cleanliness of our accommodation. The food, yummy, the drinks even more yummy. And the staff exceptional and friendly. We will be back. Well done Paul Henderson and your team .

Excellent 

Came to Canterbury for a wedding. Stayed one night. Staff were very friendly and helpful from check in to check out.  Let us have use of a room to get ready for the wedding.  Room nice, perfect for one night. Breakfast was great.  Definitely a great spot to stay.

Perfect for our needs

Just a one night stay as we were one-day visitors to a local music festival.  The pub was perfect for our needs.  Breakfast was great.  Room was small but well equipped.  Welcome was friendly and warm.  Parking was convenient but we somehow managed to pay for it twice (our fault).  I will go in to bat with the local parking authority to see if I can arrange a refund.  This corner of Canterbury is known as the arts quarter and is quiet and picturesque.  The Millers fits in perfectly. 

Great place for a one-night stay

We have stayed at The Millers several times and it never disappoints, great staff on check in and everything taken care of as far as 24 hour parking being arranged at a really reasonable charge of £12 which can be added to your room cost.We treated ourselves to the feature double room with breakfast included, the room was of a really good size with views over The River Stour from 2 windows, very bright and airy room with the most comfortable bed, the bathroom had a slipper bath with a shower above with a shower curtain, this set up did not suit us. Breakfast was delicious as always.Just a short stroll into the centre of Canterbury. We will definitely return but probably opt for the room with a tradition shower.
