Nothing to much trouble from the husband and wife owners ,anything put right quickly and efficiently

Lovely back street Hotel run by very nice people. Who’s names escape me,, sorry... plenty of parking round the back of the big house, just a tad tight if you have a big car like us... got there in the end. Bright and airy rooms, my daughter had a single room, we had a double. We shared the bathrooms. All very clean and tidy. And no need to queue up. They gave us a key to get in as would would be back late. ( internet is only available in the breakfast room, ) Tv in room, tea and coffee in room, bed was rather squeaky,, but I slept like a brick,, heating worked great as it was a cold weekend. I can’t find any fault with the place. It’s on my list to return.. 

Wedding weekend away

I booked a night at this B & B as a very last minute decision, and I don't regret it at all. The place is very cheap, and it does show with the rooms in terms of sparse decoration. However, everything was clean, the bathroom (ensuite) was of good quality and the bed was comfortable. The price also included Wifi and a decent cooked breakfast, served by the friendly owners.

Downstairs as you walked in did smell a bit of stale cigarettes and chip fat, but is barely noticeable and did not permeate throughout the entire property.

All in all a great little place if you need a cheap place to stay for the night.

Great value for a night

Very very friendly couple who run this hotel. Couldn't be more helpful but do not impose on your stay. Rooms are clean and spacious good quality. Price is very fair. Breakfast is lovely too. Would highly recommend

Driveway to/from car park is extremely narrow

Adequate for a 1 night stay

The double room was quite small. Furnishings very tired needed updated. Struggled with the stairs because I am disabled.The shower was over the bath and it was a deep bath so could not get in.  Should have checked that there was a walk in shower.  The wash basin was coming away from the wall.  Drive way is alright going in but it is difficult to align the car coming out from the car park.  Our car being wide we scraped it.  Good breakfasts.  Stayed for a week.

Holiday

We booked last minute for a wedding and it was close to the venue, I have stayed in a b&b before so didn't have high expectations but my god the smell as you walked in, it was like the oil hadn't been changed for 20years in the chippan and years of stale smoke....it was like a time warp...I knew the minute I walked in I would not be staying there. People running it were nice enough and showed me to the room but as I was walked though the building it was so shabby and old fashioned and that made it feel dirty along with the skink of cooking fat and  stale cigs going up your nose....so it was a shared bathroom and toilet ! (My fault I never read the booking properly) but gross not for me, just really old fashioned and shabby. It was what I imagined a hostel to be like if I'm honest. I can't say the room was dirty that would be unfair but very basic everything looked 20years old even the sheets,all faded,patchy and odd,and the smell was everywhere.At this point my husband informed me he could not stay here without his own clean toilet and we would have to find somewhere else. This place desperately needs to be refurbished. And if it wasn't for the smell and my lack of checking we had our own bathroom,I think I might have  contemplated staying here for just one night but my husband was having none of it and we just  left  the key and found a hotel up the road.

VERY LOW BUDGET...SHARED BATHROOMS...STINKS OF CHIPFAT..WE DIDNT EVEN STAY ONE NIGHT
