Stay away from this b and b. Disappointing! The owner was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Only after money and no service. I felt uncomfortable by the way he speaks to me. He lives in the bnb. The studio apartment is full of his stuff locked in the cupboard but limited toiletries for guest. Sofa bed is disgusting. No extra blankets in cold weather. Very unreasonable and rude. Turned off the lights and electric while I was still in the house. I paid full and didn't finished my booking by his rude personality. Do not book.

Lovley studio,very near to town and pubs.very dog friendly.The studio apartment was very clean and the bed was comfy.plus there is a lot off room.Godfrey who runs it is very nice on our first day there we had a dozen free range eggs,they were delicous.very private and peacefull there.we would come again.

ANIVERSARY

My husband and I just stayed overnight here and found it one of the best well kept B&Bs. The owner keeps it very clean and it has what you expect for a B and B. It’s on a main road but then becomes quiet at night so we slept right through. It’s just outside the main area of cardigan actually 1 minute drive. Yes he is strict with his times but that’s because of security and I’m ok with that as the place was very secure, piece of mind. There’s parking on the premises. The room was immaculate. We would stay here again. 

Great B&B

Looked  great coming down the road, parking outside.
This Man has been in the business too long in my opinion. Plainly in it for money only in my opinion. Runs his business right up to the line in what he can get away with. Booking in is 4pm-7pm only, as you know.  But. Break-down, accidents etc fear not, gone 7pm. This man does not care. Would be good if he answered his phone. Obviously on the deaf side! 
Also. Don't loose your key! You need it to open either of the front doors. Then inside doors have push button locks.  We came away thinking what a dispicable man. A Shark. If your fancy having your time there messed up, go for it. Be warned. This place, and this place alone in this town has a reputation. Ring other places and ask what b n b has the worst reputation in town? Anyway. Make sure you read all the reviews 😁

Whole family get together

Make sure you read other reviews on this and other sites! This owner applies his reception hours very strictly and banks on people arriving late. The room is then immediately let to others. No refund however! We were late and not only lost the first night, but were denied access for the other 3 paid nights. I would not advise you to go to this place. 
 


Worst B&B EVER!

Unfortunately I didn’t read any of the reviews before booking this despicable place. Big mistake ! It was the only place that allowed dogs on a fully booked bank holiday so proceeded to make the booking without cross checking the trip advisor and booking.com. reviews. 
If you are lucky enough to be reading this before making your booking DO NOT BOOK HERE, ALL THE TERRIBLE REVIEWS ARE TRUE. 

We were due to arrive on a bank holiday Friday for a couple of nights to celebrate a 50th birthday of friends in the area. We had set off in good time, for a journey that would normally take us 4/4.5 hours, to arrive for the STRICT check in times, ( despite the owner living in the premises ) but because of the ridiculously heavy traffic it took us nine hours. Realising we were going to be late we called every half hour between 4 and 7, leaving two voice messages, and sent two emails, one direct and one through booking.com. We got no response. In desperation we asked our friends to go and check in for us, they arrived just before seven. No one answered the door. 
We eventually arrived at nine, to a locked up and deserted residence with a not very welcoming sign on the door (see pictures) threatening fines if we made any noise or disturbance. We again called and could hear the phone ringing. No answer. 
Admittedly we were late that night, but we made EVERY effort to inform mr Godfrey Evans of the situation and he made none in return. 
After a nine hour journey, we had no where to stay. In an already overcrowded house that weekend, with friends and family staying, our friends very kindly scattered a few cushions on the floor to for a makeshift bed for the three of us. 
Returning the next morning, thinking someone would be there making breakfasts or servicing the rooms, to claim our second paid for night, we were once again met with locked doors and no sign of life, apart from the large and overfilled ashtray, on the rusty garden furniture, by the front door. Again, very welcoming. 
Finally we came back at the documented check in time, for what we were now referring to as the prison, for a final attempt to gain entry to our paid for room only to once again be met with solid walls of silence. Luckily this time the nice man next door said that the owner was in the garden and shouted to him for us. 
An unpleasant smelling and dishevelled man came to the door and to make it short, he was VERY unhelpful and unfriendly. Refusing us the room for a second night saying that booking.com cancel the booking if you are a no show it is not his fault. Despite us standing in front of him, with no where else to stay and our fully paid for room empty!!!!!! This is not true, booking.com still expect the landlord to honour the entire booking even if you are delayed or miss the first night.  
Best I can describe this man and his grubby dwelling is a crook and he has done this to others before us. We love going to cardigan as the place is beautiful and everyone is extremely nice and friendly and we will certainly be returning. Unfortunately Mr Evans and his B and B are an embarrassment to the good people of Cardigan and I’m amazed that such a reputable company as Booking.com still have this squalid blot on the landscape on their books. They did redeem themselves however by refunding us, but still carry on advertising it. 
I can’t make it any clearer DO NOT STAY HERE, GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE, EVEN IF ITS A FEW QUID MORE , OR A BIT FURTHER AWAY.....JUST NOT HERE !
