We recently stayed at the Pheasant for 2 nights and had a really relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Our bedroom was very spacious and comfortable, with an excellent bathroom with bath and excellent walk in shower. Breakfast both mornings was fantastic as was the evening meal we ate on our first night. The only drawback was the bar where we ate (as we had our dog with us) was extremely quiet , so lacking in atmosphere. All staff were super helpful and friendly and we hope to come back soon.

Fabulous country pub!

We booked 2 rooms B&B , both were clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was very good, staff friendly, evening restaurant was also good. 
The main criticism, was that the curtains in the room at the front of the inn did not have any blackout lining, as a result it was very bright at 6am, waking us up and unable to return to sleep.

Overall good, I would return.

A great place to stop

What an absolute pleasure to come across the pheasant inn. Lovely and polite staff the chef personally went out of his way to cook us all a breakfast as they wasn’t serving food at the time. would highly  recommend for anyone who’s looking for nice morning/afternoon with some friendly locals top job guys 👍

Absolutely amazing!

just returned from a two night stay using a buy a gift voucher from my daughter.  Lovely hotel - great staff - lovely room and delicious food.  It is only four miles from the main town of Kirkby Lonsdale which was beautiful with lots of restuarants, pubs shops to browse about.  will return 

five stars all round 

Cosy traditional pub with log fires and wood panelling. I had the Sunday roast which was excellent and very good value. Try the crumble it was great. The staff were very warm and professional, especially Tom and Heather. All in all a lovely place for lunch or dinner, can only recommend!

Lovely pub with excellent food

Only stayed one night but we packed a lot in. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The four poster bed and pillows are so comfy that I could’ve stayed there the whole time but the surrounding area has too much to offer if the weather is fine. The Inn is nicely laid out with a separate wood panelled dining room and here is where the best part of the stay happens. The food is utterly wonderful. The casserole and pie were exquisite and although we shouldn’t have squeezed a pudding in, we did. Gorgeous. Add to that, a wine and it was a perfect meal. Breakfast was also excellent and there was a good range of choices on offer from full English to mushrooms, spinach and poached eggs on toast. A return visit is being planned already.

Birthday treat

We were fortunate enough to have a 2 night break at this lovely place, before the Christmas build up. It was fantastic from the welcome, the cleanliness of the rooms, the roaring log fires and of course the beautiful food. Absolutely perfect - Thank you all.

Lovely place to retreat to

Second visit to the Pheasant and had another lovely couple of nights.
Lovely country hotel with plenty of parking, great food and friendly staff that we recognised from our last visit.
Kirkby Lonsdale is a short drive away, good luck getting a taxi....
Both visits were in the winter so maybe next time we'll try warmer months and go walking.

Another lovely stay

Fantastic stay all round. Hotel exceptionally clean and rooms comfortable and well kept. All staff very friendly and helpful and food delicious especially breakfast. Really couldn’t fault this hotel atall. 

Fantastic hotel, great stay

We stayed for 2 nights in room 11... wow, the room was lovely but more importantly was the welcome from Heather and family,  the service was amazing... Heather's husband .. Duncan the chef... wow what can we say.. the food was amazing.  My husband ate more than in a long time after recovering from throat cancer! Scotch egg was the best he ever tasted!.. The personal touch was the best I've seen in a long time.  We will certainly visit and stay again. Its special to find a family run business these days... with excellent care ❤️ 💕 xxx
