Small hotel in the quiet village of Carradale, great place to stop. Lovely hosts, warm and welcoming. Rooms were lovely clean and comfortable with tea and coffee to enjoy in your room. Breakfast was lovely and with lots of choice from lighter continental to a full scottish breakfast which was delicious. There is a full stocked bar to relax and enjoy a local drink and the lounge was cosy with a fire,. The village itself is lovely to have a walk around and look across to Arran from the pier.

Small cosy hotel in the quiet village of Carradale

Ashbank Hotel was a favorite stop of ours on our honeymoon, and our hosts treated us very well. The hotel is small and cozy and quiet. The rooms are not large, but have everything you need. The bar and sitting area downstairs were a great hang out space for guests and locals alike. We had a tasty breakfast at the hotel in the morning, and our hosts gave us good recommendations for where to get dinner in town in the evening. We loved walking around the small village of Carradale around our hotel and down to the harbor. 

Cozy bed and breakfast with small village charm

We recently spent two nights at the Ashbank. Upon arrival we were offered tea and coffee and give the key to our well appointed room, which was very comfortable and very clean.

John and Sharon are a font of knowledge of the area and gave us good advise on where to visit.

We left Carradale feeling that we had known John and Sharon for years.

Relaxed and friendly

We stayed midweek for two nights only, on recommendation by family. It's easy to find, on the main road in town, has parking off-street, and our room had a good view over the golf course and other countryside to the sea and (I think) Arran.  A comfy room, nicely decorated, very clean, ensuite looks quite new.  The shower cubicle was slightly "snug" - though that is really on me!  I think all rooms are upstairs, so not really for anyone not too good on their legs.  Dining room was not open during our stay, due to covid - continental breakfast delivered to our room (quite acceptable in the circumstances), and they could provide a bar service to guests in the lounge or in their room. 
A really nice place, friendly hostess, and would return again if I'm in the area - would recommend.

Smashing B&B

Booked the Ashbank hotel while on a motorcycle trip, very welcoming and spotlessly clean, John the owner couldn’t do enough for us and lots of knowledgeable info for our onward trip, would highly recommend

Warm and welcoming

What a lovely B&B in a quiet area of the beautiful Kintyre. Amazing interior, the beds were so comfortable and the breakfast was really tasty. The owners are such lovely people. We had a little inconveniance and had to cancel one night, they gave our refund immediately. Hidden gem!!

Lovely B&B

Just stayed 2 nights at this lovely little hotel in the heart of the pretty village of Carradale. The village has pretty well everything you need- post office and shop, a number of lovely cafes and a couple of restaurants ( currently need to be booked ahead).
Ashbank is run by a lovely couple, who work very hard to make it a really great place for guests. Their little bar with outdoor seating was the perfect end to the day.
The rooms are immaculate, clean and cosy. The breakfast is delicious and very filling. Covid precautions are well designed and working well, without making things inhuman.
There are so many walks starting from the village which take in bays, beaches, forests, but our favourite was Deer Hill Trail which took us to a viewpoint where we could look down on the village harbour, the bay and views across to the mountains of Arran.
Super visit. Great memories.

Delightful little hotel

Sharon and John are exceptional hosts helping to tailor this holiday to our individual needs. Very friendly and relaxed ambience; delicious breakfasts and comfortable socially distant tables. Bedroom had a beautiful view to the coast and a large comfy bed. Sharon was very helpful with tips for local walks and where to eat and book for an evening meal. Thanks to them both for helping us enjoy such a relaxed holiday.

Scenic and individual

Sharon and John  are very welcoming and gave great recommendations for dinner and things to do.  Great cosy atmosphere at the bar. The room was clean and tidy. Great place to stay for walking to the beach or Forrest.

Great stay

Brilliant little b&b , in a little peace of heaven , the rooms were very comfortable and clean , loved the deep bath and my son was over the moon in room 6 with the view over the golf course and Arran, hosts were fantastic and the breakfast was amazing , with the best black pudding we’ve tasted ,we will definitely be back and look forward to seeing you again.
