The owners were very friendly and nothindg was too much trouble for them. I had to leave very early and they provided a great breakfast tray. My room was comfortable and very warm.

I would recommend eating in the restaurant - excellent food at reasonable prices. 

I have stayed at hotels that were two or three times as expensive and didn't enjoy my stay as much as I did at the Old Malt House.

Fantastic hotel

I stayed here after going out with some friends for the evening. When arriving, the lady at the desk was so welcoming. She even carried my bags upstairs for me. 
The room was lovely and clean and very comfortable. It felt very homey.

Unfortunately i had to miss breakfast but the fact they offer it for that price is great! 
When checking out, I had no signal of my phone and asked the man at the front if I could use a phone to order a taxi to my car that I left at a friends. But instead, he took me right there himself! 

Very friendly and helpful and I will 100% return when I am next in the area!

Lovely hotel

We booked 5 rooms for 12 of us attending a family wedding at Priston Mill.
Owners were helpful with the booking.
Friendly welcome from Jen when we arrived and shown to our rooms.
Rooms were a fair size, clean, comfortable bed, everything worked as expected. We were offered a jug of fresh milk to take to the room for tea/coffee.
4 of us ate in the hotel one evening, food was lovely with several home made choices at prices comparable to pubs. Our drinks and food were served by Jenny who has worked there for a good while. She is a local and told us many interesting facts about the building and the area. She also stayed late to keep the bar open for some of our party who arrived at 10pm. David took time for a chat and to see if there was anything else we needed.
Breakfasts were good too with usual choices, friendly efficient service from another staff member.
We would certainly stay here again if in the area. 

Very friendly, would use again

Stayed here the weekend we dropped my sister off at university and to say that this was the worst part of the weekend is an understatement!! Firstly to say that this is a hotel is an insult to other hotels. It's a basic B&B at best. The room was basic and had an average level of cleanliness. We had several faults with the room including lights not working and only a few TV channels. Whilst we appreciate that these things can break, it is the job of the staff to check prior to the arrival of guests. We did not have breakfast in the morning but was made to pay for it. When we explained (calmly and reasonably) we were uncomfortable with paying such a high rate (just shy of 200) the lady became rude and defensive - something that was not needed!!
Not only did we leave Bath feeling upset over leaving a family member at university but we also left feeling disappointed and shocked by the owners reaction.

Basic at best

Lovely hotel where we spent a 3 day break in a nice peaceful location, very large immaculate en-suite room. We had a very warm welcome from Jen and David, also Becky and Jenny, the food was excellent well cooked and presented and a good choice. Easy to get into Bath on the park and ride which was only a 10 minute drive away cost approx £3.00 return. We would highly recommend The Old Malt House if you are looking for a relaxing break in a lovely location.

Wonderful relaxing break

Had this booked for me as I was lecturing nearby, and on arrival had a wonderful warm welcome from the owners who made me feel very at home. Was offered fresh milk to make a cuppa on arrival, a nice touch.  Room very spacious and clean with lovely big bath towels. Ate in the restaurant that evening and had some of the best salmon ever, piping hot and very reasonably priced.. Slept well on a very comfy bed and had a great cooked breakfast  the next morning. Everyone is so friendly and genuinely interested in the customers experience. Would thoroughly recommend

Warmest of welcomes

Well where do I begin? We were greeted warmly on our arrival by Jenny who is very much the "front of house."Nothing seems to be too much trouble for her if it will make your stay more comfortable..

Our room was spotless,pleasant and comfortable and had all we required for three nights.

There is a pleasant lounge where you can relax after a day out,enjoy a drink or have a meal. Here again Jenny was superb and organised sandwiches etc when we did not feel like a full meal which by the way offer a good choice of dishes.

Breakfast was served in the restaurant area and again offered a good choice of dishes which were speedily delivered and were large enough to set you up for the day.

We did meet the owners, Dave and Jen, who came across as very hospitable people.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay,felt like part of the "family" and have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.
