We ordered at the bar and sat in the Pergola at the front. We had a nice view of the world going past and the petrol station over the road. O well, it was still nice. I ordered off the standard menu. I had no real idea what I was getting, as I am not familiar with Thai curry,  but it was excellent.

Excelellent reasonaby priced lunch

Went there for a meal with friends. Lovely open fire in the restaurant. Warm and welcoming.  Service was efficient and friendly. Food was amazing. Portion size really good 
value for money.   Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good meal.

Lovely

Stayed one night with my teenage daughter before her residential trip. Have to agree that this could be so much more. The pub was deserted and the owner was called down from the flat to cook. The meal was lovely, but the pub was cold. Two fireplaces but neither were lit, had to rely on fan heaters. Each time we needed to loo, someone had to switch the lights on. The room. Well it was obvious that these were commissioned a long time ago and were pine. Not a problem, however someone had decided to distress the look badly. The walls are bottle green vinyl finish paint- nice. It was freezing. We were told when we checked in that the heater was over there. It was a single electric wall mounted heater that took until 4am yo heat the room. The bath (sorry) had mouldy tiling, was freezing and had pubes in the bath. The walls were paper thin and the couple next door were watching tv until late (as is their right- but we could hear it all). Poor and cold nights sleep. If the owners would spend a few pounds getting a professional decorator in, switch the heating on earlier and make sure everything is sparkling ( the towels smelled of chip fat oil) this would have been a far different review.

A bit tired

Called in for lunch the other day. No heating just fan heaters and it was cold. Offered lunch menu only to be told most of it was not available. What we had was Ok but nothing special. Only one dessert was available as they were waiting for deliveries! Had to walk through restaurant to go to the ladies and it was dirty, unlaid and just looked uninviting. Wont rush back.

not as good as expected

Called in for lunch. Had not visited for a while and really enjoyed a good meal from a good menu, with a good choice of drinks as well. 
Everyone was very friendly and helpful and we will definitely go back again. 

Lunchtime 

We had been to Wimpole Hall with friends and called in when passing on the way home. What a lovely pub and owners. The food was lovely, all freshly cooked and tasty, the cod and chips were wonderful. The lady and chap there whom I’m assuming are the landlords, were so friendly, there was no rush, left us to chat , made sure we were ok and all was fine, lovely folks, thank you. This was our first time out with friends for over a year after my wife been very ill, lots to catch up and gossip, we were made to feel very welcome and wasn’t pushed out the door. 

I can recommend if your passing call in and have some lunch or dinner. The sticky toffee pudding is lovely. My friends even paid for lunch unbeknown to me! Thank you 

Popped in for late lunch 

went here for dinner tonight after hearing very good reviews, the service is excellent, the cuisine is stunning, the tapas was really the best I have ever had, and the monkfish and tiger prawn espetada really was amazing, I will be back very soon ! 

 Fantastic dinner and lovely staff 

We were driving around on a Sunday early afternoon, looking for a pub lunch when we spotted the White Horse Inn and thought we'd give it a go. It was a very good decision as the food was fine and the hospitality from the Portuguese landlord excellent. Our dogs were very content to sit quietly. A pleasant pub all round, well worth trying.

Friendly staff, decent food

overpriced at £109 tbh. lovely welcome, the staff and owners were very friendly. it was very convenient for our celebration. there are two rooms separate to the pub. unfortunately a little tired. the heating wasnt working so a couple of fan heaters had been placed in the room. they certainly did the job but were quite noisy when trying to sleep. unfortunately there was only 1 coffee sachet for the morning and a lot of sugar. the breakfast was good but was spoilt by mouldy toast. this was addressed but again at this price! left the key through the letterbox as there was  one to check out with 

sisters 60th

We visited with friends for an evening meal. We all enjoyed the Portuguese menu, though there is a good selection of pub grub favourites as well. A good place for carnivores.. The Espadatas are really spectacular, both in looks and flavour. The meal was paced just right and we had an enjoyable evening. Thanks to the friendly hosts. We will be back soon. I have given four stars as the conservatory area was a little chilly on a cold night.
