I booked a two night stay to use as a base for taking photographs around the Loch Ness area. the pods and facilities are excellent, showers were nice and hot. the provided mattresses were very comfy. will be back and would definitely recommend.

Excellent short stay

What a gorgeous little site! The proprietors are friendly and the facilities are second to none. Camping pod heaven is situated in the middle of nowhere, down a little track, and doesn’t accommodate a ton of people, making it a peaceful place to stay, nestled in a pine forest close to Loch Ness. We had a camper van, which was well accommodated with an electric hook up, and although we didn’t experience the pods themselves, they looked fabulous. In the centre of the site is a fire pit, with optional use for a communal bbq. Plenty of walks from the site too,  absolutely 10/10. Thank you! 

First stop on NC500! 

Fantastic location, whole place spotless clean, mattresses really comfortable, heater small yet powerful give us really comfortable night sleep. Very nice and friendly lady, a staff member who we spoke on arrival and departure. Everything we needed was there, grill place and fire place was there, peace and quiet,  fabulous  place to have a break from everything ! I will definitely go back and I do recommend !

Just what you need for a little break !

Lovely location for a trip away, a great place to relax, the whole facility is very clean and tidy. Very peaceful with beautiful views along with very helpful and welcoming owners. Cannot wait to go again, thank you Ann.

Amazing place to visit and stay

We were walking the Great Glen Way and wanted to break the longish stretch from Drumnadrochit to Inverness so we booke a Pod for the night of 19th September 2019. As we were not carrying camping stuff or food Jana the manager kindly bought us some provisions and we were able to cook them in the microwave for supper. We also had to hire sleeping packs - sheets - duvet - pillow and towels. In addition, we hired a low power kettle. It all worked very well. The Pod was entirely comfortable with a double bed and two singles, as well as a lamp and two heaters. The best bit was the ablution block which is new and has the best showers in Europe. Special thanks to Jana for her warm welcome and general helpfulness. 
It must be said that this was an expensive option and the total cost of £80+ was more than we paid for the best 5 star B&B and that comes with a slap-up cooked breakfast. I suggest the owners put a Hikers deal together to encourage more of the very many walkers to stop there. 
We loved Camping Pod Heaven and highly recommend it.

Excellent night stop for hikers

My partner and I decided to go and do something different. To be honest, I was worried and I shouldn’t have been. Beautiful pod, heater and light inside and mats for the beds. We got the pod all warm and it was amazing. The views were beautiful and we will be returning nearer summer time. The owner was lovely and very helpful.

Truly beautiful

A very well organized and effective establishment, The Pod Heavan team made us feel very welcome,the pods and facilities were amazing for the value,clean and organized,easy parking and just close enough to the Loch to get the great views.The whole experience from arrival to departure was thought through very well giving you the many options to chill and relax either with a BBQ or just wrap up and enjoy the pods.
Child and dog friendly site and very knowledgable about all the best tours and sites if your planning a few days there. Well Worth a visit.we will be back.

Amazing child friendly glamping

I stayed here for 2 nights with two friends. It was in a lovely location, close to both Inverness and Drumnadrochit. It was also a decent drive to places like Glen Affric and Dores. This was my first time "glamping" and I loved it. The pod was clean, and so were the toilets and showers. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great stay!

Lovely stay

We stayed for a night in a pod - 2 adults and 2 children. The pod was clean and basic but that's what I expected for £70.
The pod came with thin mattresses / ground mats (ours were mounted on a wooden frame although not all pods have this, a heater (which we didn't use), a light and a socket.
We arrived at 8pm and left the next day. Was perfect for a little adventure with the kids. They played on a rope swing and in a big bit of tubing - simple but they had a good time just running about in the little woodland bit next to the pods for a couple of hours!
The fire pit wasn't in use due to wildfire risk in recent warm weather - completely understandable although in different circumstances would have been a nice touch as we had hoped to do some toasted marshmallows on the fire!
Shower & toilet facility was in good clean condition - no complaints. There are no cooking facilities so take your own camping stove if you plan to cook. We are out before we left so didn't expect to cook. They serve hot beverages at the reception in the morning but this wasn't on offer as we were checking out - no big deal but would have been nice.
All in all I'd recommend for a couple of nights - cheap and cheerful and basically just camping without the tent! If you're looking for luxurious comfortable beds then I'd say this isn't the place for you, but if your expectations are as ours we're (camping without the tent!!) then you'll be very satisfied.

Clean basic but perfect for a little camping trip!

I arrived Wednesday and left yesterday. I'm still yet to check in and check out. There is no owners/staff anywhere. I had requested a cot for my child before arrival and it wasn't there. Had to phone the number that was on a board in the reception window to re request this. A woman came down with it, no introduction to herself or the pod site, nothing. Just away back to her house in her car. Understand in covid times we are keeping our distance, but that was not very professional. Would have been alot better if distance was kept, introduction to owners and the pod site, where to find things etc. Another family on the site ended up letting me know what and where everything was. It is extremely clean. Pod was spotless. Toilet block kept to a very high standard. Just a shame the communication side was let down. WiFi DOES NOT work. Had to travel down the road to a lay by for data to find things around the area.
