The hotel owners sorted me out very last minute after my holiday plans fell through due to flooded roads. They were brilliant, really accommodating, I'm so grateful.
The location is great, suuuper close to the seafront, I'd really recommend staying here for easy explorations of the town.
The room was simple, had everything I needed for a single solo overnight stay, and was cosy. The bathroom was a little grubby, but this may have been because they weren't expecting anyone, and they were actually away  - I did call at 4.30pm of the evening I needed a place to stay!

Great location, very accommodating owners

Simple but adequate accommodation on a quiet street in Aberystwyth, a few minutes walk from town and promenade etc. Couldn’t really fault it for the price and I’d have no hesitation in using it again or recommending it to others.

Very clean and tidy guest house and the owners we very welcoming and accommodating with any needs they went that extra mile to make sure I was happy with everything made my trip to Aberystwyth much more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and I will be booking in the future.

Lovely guest house

I loved my visit to Aberystwyth and stayed in this hotel, which was a super. Live the staff matt and lou where amazing and went the extra mile for me me thank you so much I'd love to stay all year thank you. House clean and tidy and bed lush thank you 

Great owners

This guest house is smart, modern and convenient for the town centre. They don’t offer breakfast but various local cafes do: Little Devil’s in Terrace Road is superb. There are big windows offering pleasant views overlooking the tennis club. There’s a washbasin, TV, tea/coffee and hairdryer in the room and a shared bathroom with a powerful (if rather complicated) shower over the bath. Check-in by phone is straightforward - you simply let yourself in on arrival - as this is one of four properties owned by the same people and there is no-one there to check you in. However, there were thick layers of dust on the lights and curtain fittings, and I was unable to sleep properly as the room was completely unheated, despite it being the end of September / early October (Aberystwyth Comedy Festival). It was really cold! This wouldn’t be an issue in the heat of the summer but I wouldn’t stay here again out of season.

Excellent guest house. Comfortable bed. Shared bathroom wasnt a problem as there's two bogs next to each other.

My only problem was there was no table for laptop but as its a laptop, i used my lap.

Theres worse things going on in the world than no table.

Clean and basic but im not megan markel so dont care.

We were told that we would stay in the annex along the road that was part of the same hotel. Not a problem but the atmosphere did not feel nice and we did not feel particularly welcome as paying customers. Breakfast was nice but I felt staff lacked professionalism. We had a room with a separate toilet, it wasn’t great walking across creaky floorboards at nighttime in my dressing gown as a young woman! Nothing wrong with the room really but the entire place felt like it needed re doing as it was the opposite of modern. Wouldn’t stay here again

Refurb needed

We stayed for one night and had mixed opinions of our stay. 

Louise the owner was very friendly and allowed us to check in early. The hotel is dog friendly, clean and basic. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach and some shops and restaurants. It also has WiFi. 

Sadly we had a terrible sleep and have left feeling shattered. At 12:45am it sounded like a group of girls were having a conversation which went on for a while. The floorboards were also very noisy and we heard every movement throughout the whole house. This went on most of the night and as a result we had an awful sleep. Every single bit of movement was very noisy which resulted in us having a bad sleep. It appeared that guests of the hotel were up most of the night. 

This is reflected in our poor review. As a result we would not return.

Mixed opinions - poor sleep

For the price we paid, which wasn't a huge amount I have to admit, I was expecting something a little more up to date, particularly as it was room only. But it felt like we'd stepped back in time about 30 years! We had a lovely view of a rusty fire escape from our window!

But the room was clean and we had a small en suite. The Wi-Fi worked. But the towels had seen better days.

Louise, the owner, and her dogs were delightful though, which made up for the slight disappointment in the room. 

The location is great, just a short walk into town or down to the seafront. We got a bit of breakfast at a local coffee shop and there was a hotel round the corner where we could get a discounted breakfast, but we didn't try this.

No frills but clean and lovely staff

we arranged a short notice Bike trip 12 bikes, we needed a decent bed for the night,Louise came up trumps, a basic Guest house or so it appears, very clean and tidy, had a refurb by the looks, shared bathrooms are really nice clean and modern, arranged rooms elsewhere to accommodate us all. bonus was i left my sat nav on the bike seat overnight, some kind person handed in to the guest house, can't fault in any way. arranged a great breakfast across the road at a fiver ... worth a tenner all day long, thank you for your efforts Much appreciated. will recomend and return again. thanks Steve
