My Husband and I had two booking with Apple Tree House and unfortunately as the Corona Crisis lockdown was on we couldn’t go. (Which is understandable). What I did think was that the owners would just take half the money as we paid in full some weeks before. I also do appreciate that they are losing money over the situation but i am also self employed and will be one of the last lot of people to go back to work. I also do realise that Is was non refundable but as the situation was out of our hands we could come to a compromise. Maybe when we get back to normal and have to fly from Bristol again we might get a discount.

Good price and around 10 minutes drive to Bristol airport. Rooms are small and basic but clean and reasonably comfortable. I wouldn't want to stay more than 1 night.

It's very easy in the dark to miss the turning into the site as the sign isn't illuminated, and it is very close to the A38 which is a fast, busy road from the early hours until late at night. I didn't sleep well because of noise from the road.

Although the Darlington Arms pub is less than 10 minutes walk and offers reasonable meals, don't be tempted to walk at night - almost no lighting, very fast traffic and narrow pavements.

Noisy and Easy to Miss

This was ideal when travelling on an early flight, and very clean. The only downside  is as you have to check in after 5, in the winter it is dark by 5 and it's hard to find on a busy road... so to anyone going, our sat nav was showing that it was on the opposite side of where it actually was.its on the opposite side from the pub and a tyre company. If you drive up the hill past the tyre place you have gone too far, turn back and it's on the other side, I hope this helps!

Close to airport, hard to find in the dark.

There are several of these type of properties in the area providing overnight accommodation near the airport. I chose this one because it was on the main road so easy to find and because the rooms had hair dryers.
It was incredibly difficult to find in the dark even with Google maps.  We drove past it 3 times having done 2 u turns. Eventually we pulled over on the other side of the road and my husband walked up and down the A38 with a torch. Not a very safe thing to do. At one point we saw half a sign and pulled into an overgrown lane.  We were starting to think we had been duped but we did then find it. They definitely need an illuminated sign.
The self check in is easy and efficient. Good parking. We were given room 2 which is at the back and away from the road, all good. The room is well equipped , clean and bed comfortable but all a bit basic. The tv remote didnt work. Bathroom is modern but we could only get luke warm water from the shower. Towels a bit thin and some soap needed at the wash basin.  Finally no hairdryer! 
So not bad for the money but we would probably try one of the others another time

Very average

Basic clean accommodation at a good price £50 night good enough for one night, 2 miles from airport but right next to a busy road so not a good nights sleep. Keys collected from safety boxes outside, ample parking

We were staying in redhill as we were doing a vineyard tour on the sunday at Aldwick. 
Ideal location, comfortable and clean. Good, easy self check in procedure.
Good facilities and nice views. 
Pubs/restaurants around 5 mins away.

Overnight stay

We stayed at this hotel the night before our holiday and found it very comfortable and although there is no receptionist the booking in procedure is very straight forward if a little unusual.Ther is a nice pub nearby for an evening meal.

ideal for silver zone parking

As we had a flight so early, we wanted to stay near bristol airport. Apple tree was perfect! £50 for the night and 2 mins in the car to silver zone parking 👍🏻 No problem with self service on letting ourselves into the accommodation. Very clean, cosy, good bed(a double and single in ours), coffee making facilities, hairdryer, clean towels, heating-when needed. Check on google earth b4 going there as the turning for appletree is pretty hidden. Slight problem with shower-hard to control temp. Will def be back when we need accommodation for flights from bristol airport.

Perfect stay before a flight

Stayed at apple tree and was very pleased. The rooms were very clean, the self checkin simple and the showers were hot and powerful. Although close to a main road was surprised to not hear a thing. Close to airport and silver zone parking and have recommended to friends

Great place to stay near Bristol airport

I totally agree with the negative comments for this place...so there’s no point in me repeating them! Next time I’m in the area, I’ll definitely choose another venue...it might be more expensive, but I’m sure I would be happier!
I’m looking at the responses on here from the owner and I’m dumbstruck!! Really?!
