We knew of the Wight Mouse as we have eaten here too many times to mention first with our family and now just as a couple but this was our first stay here
Rooms are bright modern and airey lovely en suite super clean and despite being over a pub restaurant the rooms are really quiet
Literally all the staff are very attentive and friendly 
Breakfast which is included is absolutely amazing there is a buffet to choose from which comprises fruit yoghurt cereal pastries then you can order a cooked breakfast which is cooked fresh I'm sure it's the best breakfast on the island 

Perfect

We’ve been coming to the Isle of Wight, multiple times a year, for 14yrs and always revert back to The White Mouse. So much so that I hadn’t thought to review it as it’s just a staple for us. If you’re new to the I.O.W the chances are you may see this in the Wightlink mag and think its too far out! It isn’t. Making your way to this part of the island is a joy. The White Mouse has a phenomenal beer garden, a lovely play area, the views further along the military road are to die for. The food itself is fantastic, really varied for all tastes. I had the roast dinner on Sunday and it had a lovely enormous yorkshire pudding and real roast potatoes. Delicious. The kids were well catered for and our little dog was welcomed too. This place is always just spot on, never a bad meal. Always tons of choice for all the picky eaters in the family. Just brilliant.

Fantastic menu and beer garden

An utterly delicious lunch from a very big menu & some great specials! Well cooked & excellent presentation. Super pleasant and efficient staff too. Great garden leading to the sea and lots of parking. Our first visit after living here almost 18mths - most definitely won’t be our last.

Lovely big pub

Stopped off for lunch on our way back to our cottage. Great food and drink with a  view  to die for!  Loved the ploughman's lunch and fish finger sandwich too. A big garden with lots of tables,so lots of room for our little Nelson to explore. Thanks guys.

Great place

We booked a Sunday evening dinner here. The restaurant was packed, however we still received a prompt service.  The staff are polite and helpful, a really nice atmosphere, a really good menu, delicious food, with very large portions. Dog friendly too. Its a thumbs up from us 👍👍

Sunday dinner for two

Helpful and friendly staff, clean, warm and well maintained rooms, excellent choice on the menu, good size meals portions, a short walk to the beach, plenty of parking, very good value for money.
What else would you want!

Superb.

Met some friends here for dinner. Great experience. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Gluten free options were excellent and staff were very well aware of allergies etc. Our table had fish, chicken and burgers and all were superbly cooked and presented. We look forward to returning here again.

Great for Gluten Free

We booked a table at 14:00 for a family of 12 to enjoy a Sunday roast . We arrived at 13:50 to be shown our table and told that all the roast dinners we sold out. We were all surprised and disappointed as this was a family gathering and so surprised that everything was sold out before 14:00.
We were all forced to eat meals that were not what we were expecting. We asked the staff for an explanation however they were not forthcoming. 
What's the point of booking a Sunday roast when nothings available. 
Would not recommend this place at all.


Awful Sunday experience 

We called in here, although the drinks and staff were very good the food was atrocious, obviously microwave meals as 4 meals appeared on the table within 5 minutes of ordering them so definitely not cooked fresh... The chicken curry was very tasteless and the scampi had to be reheated and the cajun chicken was not worth ordering..... Would we go back... Thats a big NO.... think the cook needs to visit the fighting cocks where the meals were hot and very tasty.

5pm meal

Having enjoyed eating here several times, this was our first overnight stay. On arrival the staff were friendly and helpful as ever and our room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. It faced the B3399 so we were prepared for some traffic noise. This was drowned out by the roar of the hand dryers and slamming of doors from the pub loos downstairs. The walls upstairs are thin, the room doors slam and the floorboards are squeaky. There was a very loud family in the adjacent room, children running up and down the corridor shrieking and then bouncing on the furniture, followed by the dad yelling to try at them to quiet down. Eventually we had to ask the staff to come up and speak to them. The food on this visit was OK but not up to the standard we'd had previously at Wight Mouse - perhaps we were too tired and grumpy to appreciate it. Suggest the manager pops over to Hursts for some foam pads for the doors and screws for the floorboards and the signs that currently say 'well behaved dogs are welcome' could mention 'well behaved humans' too.
