Chose this hotel for location and free car park convenience.  Didnt know it was beside main railway! Friendly check in, room 56 back of hotel,  very hot. Very stuffy had window open for ventilation. Oh boy those trains,! Constant Noise, doze off to sleep, and woken up again,  awful. Bed not particularly comfortable,  Duvet far too heavy, pillows uncomfortable,  not our best experience of a Premier Inn.

Natalia and Joel were excellent at 06.00 this morning at breakfast. They were so enthusiastic and happy at that time in the morning, they really did set us off on the right step. I would definitely recommend breakfast here if you’re feeling hungry!  Staff are amazing!  Thanks.

One of the better PI hotels that I have stayed at. TGI Friday next door for diner as the hotel restaurant was for breakfast only.
The room was comfortable and clean.
I come to Cheltenham regularly and will book here in preference.
Breakfast was very good.
Staff were very helpful.

A very good PI

Chosen for it's convenient location for a family party the hotel itself is fairly small and in need of some modernisation in the rooms, all clean but somewhat tired.
The staff were all very friendly and efficient and we would like to make special mention of the Chef named Joel. He ran the small dining area and kitchen spotlessly and very well. All of the food was presented excellently and was always fresh as was cooked to order. The hot breakfast was very tasty and filling. Joel was very polite and eager to ensure that we received excellent service. He was assisted by a female colleague in the dining room but regretfully we do not know her name...

Excellent breakfast

Great location for where we needed to be. TGI Fridays at the side was a big bonus for us to have something to eat quite late on in the evening. Car park was fine; no issues. Check in was very quick & easy. Staff were very polite & respectful. 
Family room was good with plenty of room. Room was clean with fresh bath towels & hand towel provided. Tea & coffee facilities in the room. Bedding was clean & fresh. Beds were a little too hard for me personally but it would not stop me staying here again. 
Plenty of breakfast choices for everyone & the dining room was cosy & clean. Staff helpful too. The cooked breakfast, especially the eggs need seasoning; a little bland. Chef was lovely though. More teapots needed. 
Check out was easy. 
Would definitely return to this Premier Inn. 

Good Premier Inn

Dated but clean. Noisy fan in bathroom when light is on, frankly a rubbish (poor quality, lukewarm) breakfast. 
Parking was free & ample tho.Took ages to check in (v frustrating ). Use the other Premier Inn in the town centre- it’s miles better. 

Not a good example of a Premier Inn

this hotel suited us for location for touring around the Cotswolds , but on arrival it looked very tired.
At check-in we were greeted by a friendly and helpful member of staff who sorted our room key quickly.
the room we had No.39 was fairly large , clean and tidy again needs some TLC. The hallways looked dirty but l think this was due to bad colour on walls and the carpets looked due for replacement.

Hotel needs some TLC very soon

This is a basic budget hotel with little to recommend it. The most obvious problem was the wifi which simply didn't work and I refuse to pay extra for a service that almost every other hotel and even the cheapest cafe provides for free as a matter of course. There are plenty of other hotels in Cheltenham that offer better facilities at a comparable price or even cheaper.

Never again

Excellent quality breakfast! I have been in 3 hiltons prior to this and the food is better here. Spacious clean room  and air conditioned. A bath room with room to move. I had to get out of the last Hilton it was probably with 60 GBP’s . I would certainly recommend people to stay at Premier Inn.

A pleasure to stay nice amenities

We have been a long standing Premier Inn customer. This one at Cheltenham could have easily been Faulty Towers.
We was looking forward to something to eat and drink.
Turns out this Premier Inn this restaurant is actually The worst we have ever stayed in!
The restaurant is TGI Friday’s.
We went in there for a quiet relaxing meal.
We went in, and immediately had our ears insulted by the latest rap music blaring out which only pubescent children would enjoying listening to.
There was a nice menu, but unfortunately they only had sweet potato fries and heavily spiced prawns left. My wife had the chips and I had three of the five prawns.
And the worst thing, the only beer they had was some American pale, insipid beer at £7 a pint.
We reported our complaints to the reception desk only to be told “well, you two look like a couple of 18 years old. I thought you would like the music”!
We went to our room and fell asleep, only to find out that our bedroom was next to the main train line to London. Every half an hour or so a  train rattled past our bedroom wall and bits of the ceiling plaster dropped on us interrupting our sleep pattern.
Also the bathroom fan drowned out the noise of the TV! 
And there is only two teabags in the room
Next time we will stay at a recommended  B&B. No danger of an award-winning breakfast, or a four poster bed here!
