This guest house is clean quiet and in a very convenient area.  We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and my wife has delicious gluten free options.  The front 1st floor bedroom was  very comfortable. There is a small ensuite bathroom. There are no  blackout curtains so we were awaken by the first sunlight . There is a small offroad parking area. We had a great stay. Thanks

Lovely family run guest house

We had a wonderful stay at Laurel House. We received a warm welcome from Hugh, and the kind hospitality continued throughout our stay. Beautiful accomodation and breakfast. The only downside was that we only stayed for one night - but we'll definitely return! 

Lovely Laurel House

What a fantastic place to stay this is. A whole, spacious apartment an easy walk from the high street. It has a really comfortable bed and is in such a quiet location that we had a great night's sleep. The hosts are pleasant and friendly and made us a delicious breakfast served in the apartment. We only stayed one night to break our journey back up north but wish we'd been staying for longer. The apartment has everything you could need for a relaxing self-catered stay so hopefully we'll be back for a longer stay sometime soon.

Warm, clean, comfortable and spacious. We loved this place and will be back for longer next time.

Our hosts were welcoming and friendly. The self-contained basement apartment in their beautiful house was well appointed with all necessary facilities. Breakfast was good too. Parking available in the rear. It’s about a 20 minute walk into the town centre.

Excellent choice for B&B

This was our fourth or fifth stay with Hugh & Jillie and I know it won’t be our last. Returning here is like a  home from home, the apartment is very comfortable. The large and airy bedroom would be ample space alone but with our own sitting/dinning room, where a freshly cooked breakfast is served, a small kitchen and a bathroom with a shower over the bath we could stay here much longer than a few days if necessary and never feel cramped. Only a 15-20 stroll into town, with a good selection of shops, a lovely museum and a great choice of pubs and restaurants we leave our car parked on the driveway. They are perfect hosts who make us feel welcome, thanks for another wonderful stay, see you again soon I hope.

Home from Home 

Great contained flat.  Very clean, comfortable beds and welcoming.  Great service from the owners and very good breakfast.  Really good location for the centre of Cheltenham.  Couldn’t fault anything and would definitely stay there again.

Can’t be faulted.

As soon as we got to Laurel House we were made to feel welcome by our good humoured hosts.   We were in the basement apartment which has 2 bedrooms, a sitting room, kitchen and bathroom and is beautifully furnished.
We only used the main bedroom which is very spacious, has an incredibly comfortable bed and 2 easy church and  large TV.
The lounge is huge - a very large TV - leather sofa and armchairs and large dining table where we were served a delicious breakfast each morning.
The well equipped kitchen was useful.   The bath and shower were both excellent.
The sitting room and main bedroom both have French doors looking out onto attractively planted shrubs.  There is also parking which was much appreciated. 
Laurel House is about a max 10 min walk to Cheltenham High Street.   It's at the opposite end of the town to Montpellier but everything is walkable.   
We walked to a bus stop by the hospital (about 5 mins away), and got the 99 bus to Gloucester - it puts you off near the cathedral which is well worth a visit, (we paid £5.50 each to do the excellent Guided Tour.    The bus fare was around £10 return for two of us.
We recommend the Eurasia Restaurant which is minutes away from Laurel House, and particularly The Istanbul kitchen which is a out 15 mins walk away.   There's also a very good Londis shop 3 mins from the accommodation.
We spent 4 very enjoyable days at Laurel House and would definitely go back.

A wonderful stay in this lovely accommodation

What a great base for three friends to catch-up in Cheltenham! Jillie and Hugh, our friendly hosts, warmly welcomed us into their lovely, family home. The comfortable, two bedroomed flat was perfect for our needs and the amenities were spot on. The parking space on the drive was much appreciated, along with the shortbread and Kitkats. This well-priced, bed and breakfast was a short walk from the town centre, but if the weather isn’t suitable, a taxi only costs around £6. The tasty and varied breakfast was actually served in the flat dining area and would certainly set you up for a day of shopping, spa treatments or even at the races. We enjoyed some retail therapy, browsing both traditional brand stores and the independent chic boutiques of the Montpellier area; dinner at the buzzing Ivy; and cocktails outside No.131, under the fairy lights of the Gin & Juice Garden Bar. Diolch yn fawr iawn! 

Weekend Catch-up

We stayed here while visiting friends in Cheltenham. The owners were kind, welcoming and flexible with arrangements. The rooms are clean and warm, with good facilities. The breakfast was delicious, made very well with good ingredients. We'll probably come back when we next visit.

Perfect for a short stay in Cheltenham.

We stayed for 1 night in the apartment, which was spacious, clean and quiet.  The B & B is in a perfect location being just a 10-minute walk into the town and it has the benefit of off-street parking.  The bed was firm but comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure.  
Jillie and Hugh are excellent and friendly hosts without being intrusive.  Breakfast was fantastic with a variety of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt and conserves.   We both also had an excellent full English breakfast cooked by Hugh. 
We will stay here again when we are back in the area and have no hesitation in recommending it.
