Fabulous holiday park, everywhere is spotless and well maintained. 

So quiet and peaceful, the receptionist was lovely and check in was quick and efficient. 

Our caravan was situated at the back of the park, very easy to find. 

Perfect location for visiting Chester & Wales, we went to Chester zoo to the Christmas lantern walk and it was a 10/15 minute drive.

Great stay!

This was a lovely quiet site close to Chester. Whilst there we visited Chester Zoo, Beeston Castle for a medieval day and the Ice cream farm, all within 30 minutes drive which was great. Several supermarkets are also on the doorstep , 5 mins down the road, having said that, when on the site it felt like you were away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. Our caravan on the site was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely stay again to visit this area.

Family bank holiday weekend

Exactly as described..clean and tidy with everything you need  ....except towels .this is the second time we've stayed here so knew to take them this time. Very quiet site even though there appeared to be lots of cars /people there probably for the races. If you want to visit Chester and North Wales this is  perfectly situated for both places. Would definitely  recommend and will probably stay here next time we visit my granddaughter who  used to live very close but is now moving to live in Tarvin.

Perfectly placed. 

Lovely, quiet caravan park,this is our third stay here. Each caravan we have had has been very clean, comfortable, and modern. There is a retail park a minutes drive away ,handy for food shopping.A great quiet place to stay to visit North Wales and Chester.

Peaceful Caravan Site.

Just spent a long weekend at Fir Trees. It certainly exceeded my expectations, caravan was beyond comfortable, very spacious with plenty of room for our family. En suite in the master bedroom was a lovely bonus, everything was extremely clean and well presented. Will most definitely return in the future

Excellent place

Have now moved into our second year of owning a lodge on fir trees,from the moment we first set eyes on the park we were absolutely taken by the openness and the space between units,the park is very helpful and well maintained,we come from the south so we looked at an awful lot of parks,but something kept pulling us back to fir trees we have owned caravans all over sussex but you just don’t get the peace and quite that’s available here,very satisfied owner

Stayed in the Willerby Portland 2, as a family of 4. Really nice and high quality lodge (all appliances you could think of and coffee machine) - bottle of prosecco a nice touch. Only surprise as mentioned in another review was no towels, which isn't what you'd expect for a 5* park. Park very well kept. Would mention its not really a park aimed for children but well located for chester city centre.

Very nice site and high quality accomodation

Just returned from a 4 night stay in the Willerby Portland (2 bedroom) that we booked through Hoseasons. We stay on a Hoseasons park on average 2-3 times a year, due to COVID etc a lot of the parks we've visited previously were sold out so due to the location of Fir Trees decided to try somewhere new and we're really pleased we did. The lodge itself was perfectly laid out, extremely clean and has good quality furniture and bedding. There were 4 adults and 2 children in our party, 2 double beds 1 with en suite, a family bathroom and a sofa bed in the lounge, usually we stay in 3 bedroom lodges however this suited our needs this time. The decking and outside furniture were great quality and there was parking for both of our cars right outside. The park itself is quiet and mainly privately owned so there is a nice community feel. Location wise we visited Chester City and Chester Zoo, both a 15 minute drive, there are supermarkets, a retail park and McDonald's etc within a 5 minute drive. The only thing this lodge did not have that all other Hoseasons lodges we have stayed in have was towels so we had to buy some on the first night however we didn't mind this. There was a bottle of prosecco waiting on arrival which was a nice surprise. Nothing at all to complain about and will certainly stay at Fir Trees again if visiting the Chester area.

Thoroughly recommend

My husband and I first visited Fir Trees 6 years ago, and due to the current pandemic decided to visit again with our three children who range between 13 and 8.
We booked the Willerby Portland Lodge via Hoeseasons.
WOW!! The lodge was simply stunning, immaculately clean, with top of the range appliances, including dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer and a coffee machine.
This 3 bedroom lodge is incredibly spacious, with a good sized en-suite to the master bedroom, and the added bonus of a bath in the main bathroom which is helpful with young children. We all slept incredibly well in comfortable beds with blackout curtains.
All items you could ever need are available making this a real home. Plus the WiFi kept our teenage daughter more than happy.
The park itself is clean, peaceful and easy to navigate, and throughly deserves its 5 stars.
The location is also fantastic, with supermarkets and shops virtually on the doorstep and major attractions such as Chester Zoo, Cheshire Oaks, the Ice Cream Farm, and North Wales as well as the lovely locality of Chester itself within a 20 minute drive.
We will certainly be booking again for a short break next year.

Amazing Lodge & Park

The park is excellent in many many ways, location, tranquil, clean and good security, so when it come to buying a caravan/lodge there are few parks as good in this area.

We were well looked after from initial inquiry, across two visits and the questions in between, we decided to purchase and again Patrick was fantastic with his help, support and advice.

But, once the keys are handed over does it stop there?  Thankfully the answer is NO it does NOT, the team will go above and beyond in sorting out any issues quickly, staff and maintenance people are second to none, this is really a no worries, no fuss experience and one we are glad we took the decision to make!
