What was good
Staff were very pleasant and talkative. Reception and Bar staff very friendly. Communal areas were clean and tidy. Room was big with plenty of space. Facilities are great; gym is pretty well equipped and the pool/jacuzzi and sauna are nice. Food was fantastic - couldn't fault it.
What was bad
I had a twin room, one of the single beds was broken - mentioned it to staff, but don't think it was logged anywhere. beds are very uncomfortable - probably would've managed more sleep in the car to be fair. The room was a bit dirty and dusty and had a funny smell to it too that just lingered (a bit like stagnant wet clothes). I got bit by something. woke up and had little itchy and lumped up bites on my legs - assumed it was something in the bed as I was staying for conferences so didn't actually leave the hotel. Never stayed in a hotel without a wardrobe or closet or drawers. there's a serious lack of storage to put clothes. Same with plug sockets; nothing near the bed. I know the hotel isn't to blame, but the noise from other rooms just reverberates around - doors slamming, TVs, wedding party going on. just made for terrible nights of sleep. I'm supposed to be stopping again a few times over the next few weeks, but I might look elsewhere.
