This is a nice B&B not far from the Center.

We liked particularly the staff who were amazingly attentive,  so well done for that.  The room was also spacious and very clean.

But there were a few things we were not so keen on:

The noise from the floor boards above woke me up at 1 am as you can hear every footstep and chairs moving.  (I think a carpet would do better here).
The slide door to the bathroom gives little privacy as you can see someone sitting on the loo from the bed.
The pillows were huge and a bit hard  for my liking) (some people may like this of course).
The TV channels weren’t tuned in properly so they flickered on all channels.  Had we stayed longer I may have asked them to fix it but we were only there for a night.
Parking was convenient but we were lucky to get a space!
Could have done with some Earl Grey Tea and perhaps sweetener.  Breakfast was ok.

All in all it was a pleasant stay but for the reasons above I could only mark this as average.

Nice staff but a few changes could make this a lot better

This place is a serious hidden gem. The location is ideal for the shops/bars in Hoole and a short walk to Chester itself. The rooms are well decorated and light, modern and airy. The breakfast was fabulous. Fresh berries, yogurt, boiled eggs, various meats, cheese and every type of bread product imaginable, alongside every spread for your toast. There was also a selection of breakfast cereal. The coffee was good as well!

Hidden gem!

This ideally located hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean and has been recently refurbished to a very high standard. The staff Margot and Rich are very friendly and helpful and warm and welcoming. The room we had, room 12, was spacious airy and fresh. The bed is so comfortable and pillows perfect. The bed linen is a high standard and the whole room was pristine. There is coffee making facilities and lovely clean en-suite. The breakfast is a varied continental buffet and the coffee delicious. The hotel is near shops and restaurants and is only 10-15 minutes walk to Chester train station. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing Hosts  Sam andJason are very welcoming and go the extra mile. Room lovely huge  bed and very comfortable and  Stylish. Also very clean. The Continental breakfast lots of choice and fresh and plentiful.  Would recommend this hotel

Amazing

Whilst the hotel is clean and has been refurbished to a high standard it is let down badly by the complete lack of parking and its staff. The parking is solely offsite in a residential road, which is very busy. I had to park two streets away. Don't come here if you want to get rest and relaxation. Woken up intermittently from 4.30 am until 6.30 pm by the staff shouting about and slamming doors.

Inconsiderate and noisy staff

We have had this hotel booked for a couple of months and with four weeks to go, our booking was cancelled with no explanation.
I have tried contacting the hotel, by phone and email and have had no answer. Shocking Customer service and would certainly not be recommending even considering this hotel.

Shocking Customer Service

Hotel cancelled our booking with no explanation. We had booked early as Chester is a popular destination, but the cancellation has left us with no option but to book a considerably more expensive hotel. 
I've tried to contact the hotel by phone and email but no answer and no response. Don't take the chance - book elsewhere.
Booking.com weren't much help either so perhaps use a different booking site or agent.

Booked this hotel 4 months in advance of my stay. 
7 weeks before my intended stay, without any explanation, my booking has been cancelled!

CAn elled without explanation!

This is by far the worst hotel I've booked until now . We are going to Chester for a wedding on the 27th of march and out of the blue our Hotel Booking confirmation was cancelled for no reason by the property ! They sent us an email saying they are no longer able to accommodate us , with no reason given , nothing . I'm a frequent traveller , been to many hotels worldwide and this is a terrible customer service . At least they cloud have given us a reason! Called several times the property no answer ! Terrible customer service . And also when we've initially done the booking we requested for a later checkin .. of course no reply .

Booking cancelled

Firstly to put this review into context, there was unfortunately an administrative issue with Booking.com as apparently this venue was not meant to be taking bookings at this time, as they were due to close this week for refurbishment and works. 
My partner and I booked a room here at short notice, and when we arrived, it was a bit uncertain as to where to park so I went in to ask. The venue was very cold, and seemingly empty and when the owner appeared he explained that bookings weren't actually supposed to be taken. 
However! They graciously still took us in, provided a clean four poster bedroom which we had requested with a heater as the heating had been turned off for the works, and a clean bathroom, with towels and linen. They were flexible, friendly and helpful.
The room itself had lovely fixtures and the expected amenities, however it did a bit of a lick of paint and carpet cleaning. The work was audible however they did leave shortly after for the day. 
It was very near to local pubs and restaurants and only a 20 minute walk to Chester central. 
The breakfast was simple, however the room was lovely despite being very cold and the staff were very friendly and nice. The food was also hot and freshly made as we were the only people there.
I would like to stay again when the updates or work have been carried out, as for the price especially this was a bargain, and could be an excellent place to stay had we booked at a different time. 
It certainly was an adventure though, and I would recommend booking here in future.
