We have just returned from Chester staying at the glen garth guest house meeting up with family from Australia  what an excellent experience we booked Dircet by ringing the guest house up and speaking to Hayley and John we got parking included in our package, the guest house is absolutely amazing spotlessly clean inside and out everything was provided for our stay in the room we had our own private bathroom  tea coffee and biscuits  I loved the fact that that there was also face wipes  provided for you to remove makeup  there’s also  an iron and small ironing board along with a hairdryer also a fan if to hot and extra blankets if needed we both slept really well  the pillows was excellent  breakfast wow it was all freshly cooked to order and it was simply delicious there was tea coffee fruit juice yogurt cereal fruit lovely jams marmalade we would like to thank John and Hayley for everything and we loved reading the family ethos of your guest house  we can very very highly recommend staying hear you definitely won’t be disappointed 😘😘 Thanks Hayley and John hopefully see you guys again 😘

Excellent guest house excellent host

We enjoyed a wonderful 4-night stay at Glen Garth Guest House.  Hayley and John did everything possible to make us feel welcome and comfortable.  The house was charming and the breakfasts amazing.  Hayley provided us with great information to explore Chester-a real gem!  The location was perfect:  an easy walk to the historic area and many great eateries close to the hotel after long days of sight-seeing.  I highly recommend Glen Garth Guest House to travels looking for an authentic British experience.

Hayley and her team were absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend! Easy access to Chester city centre. Clean and friendly atmosphere. Absolute gem just on the outskirts of Chester but within walking distance. Fabulous breakfast… nothing is too much trouble.

Glen Garth guesthouse ticks every single box.Our room was a fabulous size.Scrupulously clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need.The bed was really comfy and the bed linen was spotlessly clean.
The cooked breakfast was plentiful and cooked with care.A delicious meal to start the day.Probably the best breakfast I have had in the many guesthouses stayed in.
The guest house is well sited for walking into the city but if you can’t be bothered the bus stops right outside.
The village centre of Hoole a few hundred yards away has some excellent eateries and some really good quirky independent shops.
To sum up,I can recommend GlenGarth with hand on heart.It is a hard one to beat.

A lovely guest house with truly lovely hosts.

We stopped at the Glen Garth over the bank holiday weekend. Our room was well appointed, spotless and very comfortable. From the guest house it’s an easy stroll to the centre of town. Our hosts, John and Hayley were most welcoming, did all they could to make our stay comfortable and they’re a fountain of knowledge on Chester. A wonderful breakfast was a great way to start our day. We can throughly recommend the Glen Garth

Traditional Guest House

This was our second stay at Glengarth and once again have come away feeling relaxed and happy. We booked the kingsize ensuite this time and it was absolutely perfect…extremely clean and comfortable. Hayley and John are wonderful hosts, very welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious. Glengarth is just a short walk away from Chester city centre and has parking which is a bonus. We will definitely be returning again soon!

Another wonderful stay at Glengarth…

The hosts were very accommodating. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Our breakfast setting was nice. The food was a traditional English breakfast. The location was close to the centre of Chester with good pubs very close. 

Great stay at Glen Garth

Hayley and John were very friendly and helpful. Our room had all the key amenities and the breakfast was wonderful. We had parking behind the guest house.  Our three night stay seemed rather expensive, but our experience was highly positive.

I stayed for 2 nights and was made to feel welcome straight away. The room was clean and very pleasant.

The house itself had a lovely family story to it and the owners were such a lovely couple. I had a lovely cooked breakfast which was catered to my vegitarean needs. John cooked it on the 1st morning and Hayley on the 2nd. Both were equally as good 😉 and it was a quality breakfast.

Overall, a very satisfying stay. I can now see why their hard work has achieved such high reviews.

I will be staying here again.

Lovely Stay and Lovely Hosts 

Great host make you feel so welcome.  Great breakfast comfy beds . Nothing is to much trouble you can ask them anything about restaurants places to go . Chester 15 mins walk  away .round by the Glen garth is restaurants and pubs we went into chester in the day and stayed local at night .came down for breakfast on the last day  and there   was birthday card on the table was a lovely touch thankyou .would we go back yes  thankyou again dawn and andrew
