If you’ve not booked Whitton lodge you must book it now! What an absolute gem of a house. Simply amazing could not fault one thing. Excellent customers service. Spotless. FRESH bed linen and towels. Soap, hand wash, untensils all included. Nothing was a problem.  Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back. Thank you so much for having us. 

What an absolute Gem of a house! 

Stayed here last night, with three work colleagues. 

All four rooms were spotlessly clean, SUPER friendly host (Kim) immaculate grounds, beautiful building, comfortable huge lounge area.

A REAL find, stayed for one night, but will definitely be back anytime we are working in and around the area, even if we are working 20 to 30 miles away, its worth the extra travel to stay here.

What a beautiful stunning place!! 12 of us for my daughter's hen party. Everything you need is here!! Plenty of room amazing bedrooms and the hot tub!! Top spec all the way through!!

1st class top luxury....just amazing!!

Booked to stay at whitton lodge with 23 hens and we couldn’t have asked for anything more! It was beautiful and Kim couldn’t have been more helpful! There was everything we needed and more and we had the best weekend. We will 100% be returning! The house was so big and clean and fit us all more than comfortably and every bedroom having its own bathroom is a massive bonus! Thank you so much Kim such a lovely host!

Sister hen doooooo

We stayed at Whitton Lodge Hall for my sisters 50th. The trip was just perfect for us, the hosts John & Kim were lovely and helpful. The place itself is fantastic, from the large lounge, games room , the large dinner table for everyone to sit and eat. Everything was really clean and we loved the annex bedrooms outside. The hot tub was an added bonus. We all had an amazing stay that we are planning a yearly visit Thank again John & Kim your home is really beautiful.... Lisa & girls x 

Sister’s 50th Birthday, perfect stay xx

What a find. Perfect for our annual family get together.  Before we arrived Kim and John answered all our questions very quickly. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The accommodation is furnished to a very high standard. Very well equipped kitchens, 2 of them. Plenty of seating for everyone and a very large dining room. All bedrooms en suite. 
A very large garden at the back, which the children really enjoyed playing in.
Hardwick hall a wonderful place to visit, and a nice pub 2 minutes walk away.
Would thoroughly recommend for a large group.
Looking forward to visiting again next year.

Annual family get together

What an amazing place to stay, upon arrival Kim and John were beyond helpful and took time to show and explain the facilities available in a way that instantly put us at ease. Due to its secluded nature you don't appreciate just how big Whitton Lodge is until you arrive. Stunning to look at and perfectly hidden away in the foothills of Derbyshire. My family and our 2 friends families who stayed (14 in total) were not short of things to do, be that the use of the Games Consoles available or family board game time in the evenings. The teenagers particularly liked that the free wifi available. All rooms were ensuite and to a high standard. A fantastic kitchen are was utilised for breakfast, if cooking is not your thing there are a few local pubs who serve lovely meals. I would personally recommend The Hardwick Inn or The Carnavan arms. Both within a short distance. Wouldn't hesitate in booking here again in fact we hope to do so later on in the year. A great time had by all.

A Hidden Gem.

A fantastic warm and spotlessly clean home from home. Beautifully decorated throughout including towels and beautiful linens.
There were 23 members in our group from 4 to 64. Space for everyone to sleep and relax and eat and play including putting up a keyboard for singing and a scalextric too.

Of the 9 bedrooms 3 are outside in the annex and easy to pop in and out for those sleeping out there. It was plenty warm enough and we (unfortunately) had no need to use the log burner for extra heat.  Every room is ensuite and as long as we didn't all go for a shower at the same time there was plenty of hot water too.

The kitchens were well appointed although slightly frustrating there wasn't a connecting door from the main kitchen to the small kitchen when cooking for 23 we needed both ovens!  The only other thing I meant to mention was the lack of a good sharp knife for preparing lots of veg for our evening meal.

A fabulous long weekend of singing, eating, drinking, walking, talking, playing and a trip to  St Mary and All Saints (aka The Crooked Spire) in Chesterfield for Sunday Eucharist. Oh and not forgetting the friendly goats!

Loved it!

Amazing find

Such a lovely weekend! 21 family members and friends in such a lovely house. The swimming pool, snooker table and fitness centre are gone (so the photos could do with an update) but so much space to accommodate everyone. Warm from the moment we arrived, no problems with hot water as long as you’re sensible about not using all the showers at the same time (basic common sense), two well equipped kitchens, spotlessly clean. Couldn’t ask for more. 

Weather not great (well, it is February!) which delayed our walk on Saturday for an hour or so, but those that wanted to still got out for a few hours in the afternoon, whilst others visited the nearby Hardwick Hall. 

Attended the Crooked Spire church on Sunday - lovely church, lovely people - made us very welcome. Then lunch at the Three Horseshoes near Clay Cross. 

Oh, and gin. Lots of gin! 😂

Fantastic long weekend 

Property is lovely and plenty of space. Downside we tricky hot water system which left us having cold or no water frequently. Three of the rooms are located outside so in winter not so ideal when the weather is cold and wet. House we very cold when we first arrived and took a couple of days to get really warm. Sparsely equipped in the kitchens and the tumble dryers had no plugs so we couldn't dry or clothes. Having said that we had a lovely time, particularly as there is a great little pub that serves food within walking distance.
