We stayed a couple of nights at Grandwood House and agreed with most reviews from previous travellers 
 
Lovely rustic location in the middle of nowhere perfect for long walks

Very friendly owner in Chris who cooks up a great breakfast every morning and pointed us in the right direction for a pub in the evening and things to do nearby

Secure gated parking

Very good value for money being outside of Chichester means it is quite a bit cheaper

A little bit far Chichester and about a mile from anything so be prepared to drive to the pub or a walk in the dark coming back down a country lane with no pavement 

Rooms are converted outbuildings and garages so a great size but as a result found lots of dead bugs on the windowsills and vertical blinds instead of curtain did not feel very private especially when there were some missing. Just needs a little bit of TLC to bring it up to standard



Very friendly B&B off the beaten track

My Husband booked Grandwood house for a weekend stay with my Son and Daughter. I was a bit concerned having read the reviews , which were mixed. We stayed for two night and had two ajoining  rooms away from the main house . The rooms were clean and tidy with comfortable beds. It was a bit chilly in the evenings but we just turned the radiators on. and the room soon warmed up. Excellent breakfast each morning with a good selection.of food.  It is a bit out of the way but there is a pub about a mile away which did excellent food.

Nice weekend stay

Have just returned from a lovely weekend spent at Grantwood house. Comfortable rooms, freshly cooked breakfast and plenty of it. Very friendly owner. Electric gates so cars are safe. Would recommend to friends.

Converted outbuildings in grounds of a previous lodge to a stately home. Comfortable but quirky. Not particularly clean but airy with door to the garden, sheep in the fields and lovely country. Breakfast excellent, parking off road and free wifi which wasn't often reliable. Stayed three nights. No housekeeping was done on the Sunday so we had to empty our own bin of food scraps and ask someone for dry towels at the end of the day.

Rustic B&B in the country

No stars,filthy room and bathroom,had to clean loo it was so filthy.we dusted room as girl cleaner did not want to know.dead flies,spiders and bugs on window ledges ,very dusty and cobwebs everywhere. window blinds ancient ,broken and dirty.bed linen stained,musty smell in room.4 stars,more like no stars.be better off sleeping in a tent.

Worst place I've ever stayed

Nice hotel in the middle of the countryside, English style. Great plenty of breakfasts, very kind and available owners, well furnished and comfortable room although not huge. Perfect support point for the Festival of Speed which is only 10 miles away on traffic-free streets, two great pubs at your fingertips.

Great hotel around Chichester.

A small B&B in the English countryside. Nice rooms in the back of the garden and very cozy owners who gave us good advice about the area. And an exceptional breakfast. The downside: the simple beds were a little narrow, and the wet bathroom. A little hard to find.
