We were staying in holiday accommodation across the road so it was a natural choice to go to eat and drink. We certainly weren't disappointed. Everything was great from the well kept beer to the tasty food and finally the brilliant friendly staff . We ended up visiting everyday. Why go anywhere else?

If only all pubs were like this

We recently stayed here whilst we dealt with a death in our family. Craig and Nicola were so welcoming and kind to us and cooked us a smashing breakfast every morning, which helped us to keep going while clearing out a house. All our meals were excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful and we hope to return in the future. Thanks to you all xxx

Really nice pub with great beer and very friendly staff. Popped in after a long and muddy walk and got a warm and welcoming reception. We did not eat but the menu looked very nice the bar was very busy with dinners which is always a good sign. Will be back to try the food.

Great stop off after a long walk.

Popped in for a Sunday lunch meal and throughly enjoyed it.
We all had mains and desert and not a complaint in sight.
The roast was lovely and apparently so was the pie.
Ginger stem pudding OMG delicious!
Lovely pub, deceiving from the outside, looks small but it’s not inside and a lovely beer garden… for those summer gins.

This was our first visit and won't be our last.
We arrived just befor 1 pm and the pub was already busy. The staff were very welcoming and showed us where we could sit. They then came and took our drinks order from our table. After our drinks arrived we ordered our food.
We ordered Cumberland sausage and mash and linguini carbonara. We both  enjoyed our  meals and portions were good. 
I would highly recommend a visit.

Lovely pub, lovely lunch

It was bucketing down last Sunday and my walk at Emsworth had to be rescheduled at the last minute but I was not too disappointed as I thought oh I will go the the Bulls Head and have a nice nut roast which I have had before, and hope that they could fit me in somewhere.  As they make their food on site  and not brought in, I knew, as a person with various digestive issues, the nut roast I could eat without a problem, and everything that went with it is really delicious and tasty, just like a roast should be. 
Now every time I am over Fishbourne/Emsworth way, I look forward to my delicious Sunday meal.  Although I might just try the homemade Fish Pie next time!!

I love this place for a Sunday lunch.

Visiting the area and stopped off for lunch,. What a lovely place, great outdoor space, very friendly staff and tasty food! 
Will definitely go back there when in the area! 
Hoping to see lights on that lovely tree at Christmas! 

Friendly with good food!

Good points first.  The staff are fabulous and the food was OK.  Booked for two nights and stayed one!  Had paid up front and was prepared to lose the money but the owners actually refunded the night plus some of the night before.
Bad Points.  The door to the room did not unlock and every time I tried to get in the room I had to get a member of staff.  Slept in the room which backed on to the car park and hardly slept due to the fact the door was unlocked and I heard noises in the car park at about 1 a.m.  The staff knew about it and said they had problems during the week.  The owner  had not been able to get a locksmith out and they had no WD40 in the pub.  They are close to Chichester so not in the middle of nowhere and there has to be an emergency locksmith there.  
Breakfast was 7.30-8.30 or should have been which I was not happy about as would have preferred 9.00 or 9.30. At 7.20 I had a call from the owners who said there would be no breakfast but a refund as they could not get there to make breakfast and their chefs do not start until 10 a.m.!  Their car had a flat tyre and they live in Southsea that is 30 minutes away.  Surely one of them could have stayed and the one that cooks come in by taxi.  All their rooms were full. The place they recommended for breakfast said it was a Pizza restaurant although called an Inn.  Not much parking in Chichester so was not prepared to risk it.
The pillows were absolutely terrible.  It is also on A road and thought it would be in the village.

Booked a Sunday roast for the family on Sunday 27th and it was absolutely delicious! The portions were excellent and the food was as good as we have had anywhere ! The service was excellent and will definitely be back
