We went to this pub for our wedding anniversary. The accommodation  and food were excellent. The staff were both polite and friendly and the service first class. Thank you all for a pleasant stay. We will certainly be returning. 

Excellent Stay

A hidden gem which impressed in terms of accommodation, service & staff.
Beautiful rooms (we had the 4 poster), lovely garden area with pizza oven.
You know it’s good when the locals use it too!
Outstanding breakfast of locally sourced produce & the most helpful staff who are happy to give suggestions of where/what to visit in the local area.
Will definitely come again!

5 star inn & service

Arrived after a day out at Cotswold Wildlife Park which isn't far from The Wychwood Inn.  The Inn was easy to find with Google Maps in a quiet area.  There is plenty of free parking on site.  The first impression upon arrival was amazing.  We were greeted by the staff which was a quick check-in and told all the information we needed to know.  The Inn's main building used to be a 15-century pub and this is still available to sit in.  There is another seating area inside with the bar nearby and even a lounge-style seating area at the front of the building.  Massive garden with plenty of covered and open seating with two egg chairs which added a nice touch.  The room we stayed in, Room 3 was exactly the same as the pictures and was even better than we expected.  The little touches made it extra special.  There is everything you would normally expect.  Even though we were on the road, there wasn't any noise and the property is kept tidy and clean.  Breakfast was presented with fruit, cereals, fruit compote, and cooked-to-order English breakfast or salmon for those who wanted it.  Nothing was out of reach when we wanted to swap breakfast items for something else.  Tea, coffee, apple, orange, and cranberry juice as well.  We didn't eat dinner, but the food looked amazing so worth a try.  The staff was amazing and couldn't fault.  We felt safe and looked after.  We visited Oxford a lot to go out which is about 40 minutes drive, but plenty to do near the Inn depending on your style.

An outstanding Inn in the beautiful Cotswold

The inn was full of character and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening there. The choice and standard of food for evening meal was excellent and the breakfast was superb.  
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. 
A particularly nice touch was the individual bottles of orange at breakfast and the small milk churns rather than cartons in the bedroom.
Would have no hesitation in recommending and in fact we already have.

Lovely night’s stay

We booked 4 days away and chose the Wychwood Inn based on reviews and location. The property has a lovely welcoming feel and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and our stay was very comfortable. The food is cooked fabulously and is well presented. We do not hesitate to recommend this lovely Inn and will happily stay here again.

Friendly & inviting

Excellent stay, nice welcome, room lovely very comfy and nicely decorated, water and cookies in the room, nice touch! Meal in the evening was delicious, rhubarb dessert was a real winner! nice atmosphere friendly staff. Breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice for cold buffet and cooked breakfast was very tasty and good quality ingredients, we loved our stay and we are planning our next stay for later in the stay!

Gem of a hotel and restaurant!

Breakfast was excellent; buffet with good choice of cereals, fruit juice, etc. with a really tasty, high quality cooked “full-English” served by friendly staff.

Bedroom (room 2) was clean and had everything we wanted; comfortable bed, good power shower, bath, dressing table etc. as described on the website.

Evening meal was delicious; I had Steak and Ale pie that was so good I had it the next night! Full of tender, large steak chunks and scrumptious beef dripping gravy. Wife had gammon steak and next night chicken pie which were also very tasty. Both had steaks  on our final night and both were cooked to perfection.

The staff were very friendly and professional.

Hook Norton real ales were also very good.

We would love to stay here again when in the area.

Excellent food, friendly staff and comfortable bedroom.

A very comfortable and friendly hotel scoring high on its food and friendly staff, the food is excellent including the breakfast sausage a a high point !  We stayed in room 5 with the four poster bed, large bathroom with roll top bath and large walk in shower. Easy access to Burford  etc. we will return.

Excellent  stay

Our room, albeit small, was really nice! It had a very cosy, Cotswolds feel to it with a rather big and modern bathroom - so the size the of the room was really not an issue for our short two-day stay. 
The pub downstairs is very homey, with a nice atmosphere and a  great, very reasonably priced selection of food. 
The breakfast is delicious and quite filling. 
Throughout our stay, the staff at the Wychwood Inn were so helpful and friendly. 
We can only recommend!

A lovely stay!

Was told about a work do on the Wednesday  and had a work do at the Wychwood Inn.
Greater by the landlord at the outside bar with a smile and a friendly attitude. 
Had some bar food ( Scampi and chops , and pull pork and chips ) which was pipping hot and full of flavour. 
The outside bar is stocked but if your wanting any "special " scotch then that's available inside.

The toilets are clean and tidy mega friendly staff.

We will be back.
