Our extended family took three rooms. From booking through to departure a really pleasant experience for us. I understand the owner now enjoying his own time; perhaps an opportunity for others to take it on....I assume COVID forced this upon you. So just a message to the owner: well done & good luck.

Such a shame they're closed

I called this hotel four times and left two voice messages to enquire about availability for a Saturday night in March, I was doing this on behalf of a visiting relative, sadly they didn’t respond, I was completely ignored, so it’s a zero from me for customer service.

No Response!

Stayed here for a wedding at the end of July in Christchurch and it was extremely convenient for the wedding and reception in the area. Greeting and advice at the B&B was great. Room excellent. Breakfast wonderful. Would recommend.

Michael made us welcome,he cooks a great breakfast, we had a free upgrade room as we were staying two wks ,the room was large ,clean ,and the bathroom was fab ,the only down side was it is a very busy road ,but the bed was so comfortable.

Clean, comfortable room and I was grateful for the upgrade. However, I banged my head badly on the low ceiling (yes, partly my own carelessness) and I thought this was a serious hazard and, apparently, it has happened before, albeit infrequently. The property is on a main road but set back so no problems with traffic noise. I agree with other reviewers about the excellent breakfast, possibly the best I have ever had in any B&B or hotel.

Good-sized pool but use by guests is limited due to swim classes. The sauna, advertised on the board outside, is closed. Health & Safety issues, I believe.

Good value property in convenient location

......No attention to detail, except bkfst which is truly wonderful.
They ask that any 'niggles' be pointed out to them on site, not on sites such as this; so I did - the dbl bed with slats missing/bkn & the shower tray filling up due to 'gunge' in the outlet. Gunge sorted - bed temporary repair effected but more needed. There is evidence of marked paintwork throughout. The front fence is only held up by a lamppost & tree; the rear gdn is tree covered with all the accompanying tree debris, so  looks unloved. 
The premises also houses a children's swim club, which means parents cars coming/going throughout the day; hence car parking sometimes tight.
This is an area v close to Highcliffe Castle - a wedding venue - so our group had various B&B's occupied locally, hence I had opportunity to visit the B&B next door. The difference in standards showed.
But it's worth repeating that the bkfst is great.

Nearly v good, but.....

We came to stay at this hotel for a family wedding nearby.  
Our expectations were met and I want to praise Michael and Dee for their hospitality.     We booked bed only but on arrival soon changed our minds at the realistic price Michael asked for breakfast (£7.50pp).  We enjoyed complimentary tea soon after arrival.   My room was big. aired and very clean.  Just as advertised there was a kettle, tea and coffee and bottle of fresh tap water.   There was a tv in the room and a large ensuite shower room. The towels were great quality.   Hot Breakfast was cooked personally by Michael to order with buffet style help yourself to fruit juice, prunes, yogurt and variety of cereals. As much toast as you could ask for and endless tea or coffee.  
We were given keys to our room and the front door to let ourselves in at whatever hour we returned.  
I think Michael smiled constantly got two days.  He made us feel very welcome and I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a short stay in the area.  
Great location to visit Highcliff Castle and the nearby beach.
