My wife and I stayed for the weekend. After a long and rainy journey, how wonderful to drive down a country lane and find ourselves in such a hospitable, tasteful and comfortable house.
So quiet at nighttime, so beautiful by daylight. Claire went well out of her way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Both breakfast and the service were unsurpassable! We look forward to returning, staying longer, exploring more of both the countryside and nearby historic Chester. Top notch!

Sorry to leave...

We had an excellent 3-night stay at Cotton Farm. Everything about this B&B exuded quality, style and a wonderfully relaxed ambience. Claire was the perfect, smiling host - welcoming, charming, helpful and the provider of  superb breakfasts. Our bedroom was spacious, tastefully-furnished and very comfortable - lovely big bed and crisp White Company bed linen! Plenty of places to visit. Numerous pub-style restaurants in the near vicinity which Claire happily gave us guidance on.  We will definitely stay there again when we are next visiting the area. Highly recommended.

Excellent B&B on a working farm in a quiet and peaceful rural location near Chester

Amazing peaceful and homely bed and breakfast in a beautiful setting very close to Chester. Host Clare made us feel welcome from the moment she opened the door.
Fresh flowers in the bedroom. Spotlessly clean spacious bedroom and bathroom. The garden room has amazing views over the beautiful garden and we enjoyed watching the regular birds including the woodpecker. Everything tastefully decorated. 
Breakfast was delicious- homemade granola, nice fruit and lovely cooked breakfast- perfect poached egg (a rare find). Homemade jam and marmalade with toast. We had a lovely walk to the mill after. 
Definitely will return. Very good value compared to any other accommodation we have experienced.


Amazing farm bed and breakfast- a hidden gem

A lovely welcome from Clare set the scene for my all-too-brief stay in this beautifully modernised, tastefully decorated, bed and breakfast farmhouse. It is spotlessly clean and the heating is highly efficient. 

The attention to details made my stay truly like a home away from home e.g. fresh vegetarian-friendly milk, chilled water in an environmentally conscious bottle.

It was lovely and peaceful at night and the breakfast was a treat – many home-made options including granola, seasonal fruit salad, marmalade, freshly squeezed orange juice. I could not manage a cooked breakfast but the option was there.

Simply outstanding

We had a great stay at this wonderful, luxurious B&B. Claire is a wonderful host, very welcoming and helpful. Our room was large, spotlessly clean with a very comfy bed. The bathroom was also large with a powerful shower. The breakfast was fantastic with homemade granola, a variety of fruits and fresh coffee. Good choice of cooked items on the menu followed by toast and homemade marmalade. No need for lunch!!  
A thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem

Stunning location on the outskirts of Chester. The house  and gardens are beautiful and well cared for.
Our room was extremely spacious and felt luxurious with a huge bathroom and powerful shower.  The rooms and communal areas are immaculate and have a homely feel.  We felt relaxed as soon as we stepped through the door.
Claire is a wonderful host and goes out of her way to make sure her guests are as comfortable as possible.  She is very knowledgeable about the area and the 'must sees'  in and around Chester.
The breakfast menu is varied and the food is high quality and well-cooked (special shout -out to the homemade bread and jams) .
In summary, we loved our stay at Cotton Farm, which was made even better with cuddles from Tegan and Jumble. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this BnB to anyone looking for an extremely good-value, luxurious, relaxing break. 

Luxurious BnB and incredible value

We loved staying at Cotton Farm. It was a lovely building in a beautiful, peaceful location. It was very convenient for visiting Chester - we used the park & ride as recommended by Claire, our hostess. Our room was large as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was substantial with a good choice. We thoroughly Cotton Farm.

Wonderful

A lovely quiet farm where you're well looked after with an excellent breakfast. A walk outside is refreshing and the fact that it is a working farm makes it feel all the better. The TV reception is a bit ropey so find something else to do.

Excellent & welcoming

This was our second visit to Cotton Farm which was just as lovely as the first. Clare can’t do enough for you and you’re made to feel so welcome. The farm is in such a peaceful setting and you certainly feel refreshed and relaxed after staying here. The breakfast is amazing and fills you up for the day. We stayed just as the COVID lockdown restrictions were lifted. Clare is very careful and considerate with social distancing in mind and we had no concerns in that regard during our stay. Chester city centre is a short drive or there is an excellent park and ride for £2 per person nearby. There are plenty of good quality pubs close by too. A perfect place for a relaxing break!

Midweek Break

What can I say or where do I start?!?! Amazing, wonderful, cosy, warm, eloquent, memorable, are only some words I can use to conjure up our stay with nigel and Clare in cotton farm. We were greeted by smiles and warmth from the moment we entered their home. They were so kind and generous from beginning to end. Loved the country walks through the fields and to walk mill for a lovely bite to eat. Clare kindly loaned us wellies which were a necessity for our walking the cheshire countryside. We also went to Tatton Park, the Grosvenor countryside, chester and enjoyed them thoroughly. What was the icing on the cake was coming home to a cost warm room, luxurious bed and warm powerful shower each evening. The breakfast was to die for and set us up for the day ! We didn't require to eat until late that night every day! The quality, freshness and standard of the products and food stuff was off the charts. We cannot wait to return with our baby and my trusty sling in the summer time if they'll have us!.. best breakaway for a couple ever!!... thanks Clare and nigel. Xx Emma and John xoxox
