Treetops at Higher Gitcombe is a truly wonderful place to stay.  Paul and Lynnie are wonderful hosts and have thought of everything that you might need for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Devon, with special little touches to make your stay special.   Treetops is well designed and furnished to a very high standard and scrupulously clean.  We loved that we could lie in bed and look at the night sky through the roof window but if this is not for you, not to worry, there is a blind to the window to block out any light should you wish.  The bathroom is pure luxury, with a wonderful free standing bath.  We would definitely recommend Treetops to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing and lovely place to stay any time of year.  We really didn’t want to leave and we definitely hope to visit again in the future. 

Wonderful stay.

Excellent location, beautifully presented accommodation with many extras which made for a very comfortable and peaceful holiday. The standard of cleanliness was very high which made us feel very ‘safe’ under present Covid circumstances. Paul and Linnie were excellent hosts. 

Higher Gitcombe

On the 1st September we arrived at our destination in brilliant sunshine, we were met my our hosts Lynnie and Paul
 who showed us our home for the next three nights. Fresh flowers were placed on a table by the front door, in and on opening the door we were greeted with a Devonshire cream Tea in the well appointed kitchen area. Every room was the height of luxury so so beautifully furnished even down to the day bed on the sun deck.
The views of the surrounding area looking towards Dartmoor were a photographers dream. 
We were left to our own devises but our hosts were there if we needed anything. 
We hope to return in 2021 all being well in these strange times.

Treetops Higher Gitcombe House

We enjoyed a throughly relaxing week at Higher Gitcombe enjoying both the scenery afforded by the stunning views whilst also appreciating the attentiveness and consideration of the lovely owners (Paul & Lynnie) who have gone out of their way to ensure you feel pampered. The facilities (probably not the right word to use!) are sumptuous - the bathroom and bedroom are opulent and the kitchen / lounge area very comfortable. Whilst we didn't have great weather, the views across Dartmoor from the huge decking area were breathtaking and the peaceful ambiance extremely relaxing. Only 6 miles from Dartmouth and a pleasant walk to some local hostelries nearby. We can't recommend Higher Gitcombe highly enough. 

Luxurious - truly somewhere special

Post Covid escape/break at Higher Gitcombe's self catering luxury self catering apartment.
First time we have stayed in Treetop's,  magnificent countryside views from the huge decked area accessed via large lounge area, breathtaking vista's.
The apartment is accessed by concrete steps which are not steep and are non slip so even in bad weather no worries about slipping, stepping through the front door into a large kitchen diner and lounge area, everything is here to make your stay a truly home from home experience.
Lovely large bedroom with huge comfy supering bed and an en-suite with bath and double walk in shower.
We enjoyed a great stay once again, Paul and Lynnie are fabulous host's, even in these very trying time's.
We had one very wet n windy day and it was nice to just kick back and relax and not have to worry about going somewhere, we stayed in the warm and played cards, board games and drank wine.

Amazing Treetops

Linnie and Paul are very exceptional in the way the treat individuals very individual and take great care to all their needs. We have been there four times and it only gets better. Higher Gitcombe is the best B & B we have stayed at.

Lynnie and Paul are the epitome of the perfect B n B hosts, undying attention to detail, home from home comfort combined with a rare ability to make you feel very special from the moment you book until you leave and beyond.
All rooms are high end hotel quality with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing getaway.
The most comfortable beds with quality linen and plump comfy pillows for the best nights sleep possible.

Breakfasts are a foodys delight, all locally sourced and always cooked to perfection.
A huge array of cereal delights await, then on to the cooked options, the smell of freshly cooked bacon is enough to stir anyone’s appetite and the taste transports you back to proper good old fashioned tasty food.
You cannot hurry breakfast here because it’s a 
Perfect way to start a day exploring the area.

Lynnie and Paul are the perfect hosts in every way and thoroughly deserve their highly commended awards

Higher Gitcombe is a lovely house in a beautiful setting. It’s perfect for a restful break. 

The suites are Immaculately kept, you can expect  delicious breakfasts and the warmest of welcomes. We felt at home Instantly.

Paul and Lynnie went above and beyond in every detail to make our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. From the minute we arrived we felt like we were visiting family. The room was fantastic and the breakfast was out of this world. It sustained us for the rest of the day!
