Hunters Lodge has been a saving grace for us during the COVID period, we have an important client in the area that meant that we were required on a number of occasions to stay close by, I came across Hunters Lodge whilst searching for hotels that had remained open during lockdown and were therefore very Covid compliant. HL had keyworkers staying with them so were stringently following the rules which was important to us.

Hunters Lodge have gone above and beyond over the last 6 months, the staff can't do enough for you, the rooms are great and always very clean with everything you need, the restaurant provides a great menu of delicious food. When we have had super early starts they have also provided us (at no extra charge) with takeaway bacon sandwiches to take on site with us. Room service was excellent during lockdown.

Can't say enough good things about how accomodating the team are and if you are staying in the area, look no further!

A great find.....

Stayed here in October just prior the lockdown. Whilst the rooms may be a little dated (but clean and comfortable) the staff more than make up for it with professional, friendly and attentive service. They couldn’t do more to make our stay as pleasant as possible. 
Breakfast was excellent, recommend the restaurant/bar, we ate here several nights and the food never disappointed. 
Possibly the best Steak Pie I’ve ever eaten.

Outstanding food, well presented, at a very reasonable price, the homemade cheesecakes are a must.

The staff were extremely professional, friendly and helpful, will definitely be back when visiting the area again and would definitely recommend.

Outstanding food and service

The social distancing was well handled in bubbles of 6 for our Christening function.  Due to Co-Vid restrictions we had to change the meal from an Afternoon Tea to a Sunday lunch.  The food was really very nice, plentiful and hot!  They rose to the challenge of the kids wanting something different very well too.  

The staff were professional, attentive and helpful and really smoothed the way for an enjoyable experience despite the challenges.  

Parking was easy and plentiful.  Can really recommend the venue.

Good social distancing at venue

Once again had a wonderful visit. Food beautiful, fresh and so well prepared. I had the roast Beef Sunday lunch and it was as fabulous as always. The staff you cannot fault, just so friendly and welcoming. It was such a great surprise when the bill came to see that they are doing 25% off Friday/ Saturday and Sunday’s in September. Highly recommended. Thank you to all the staff 

Always a wonderful experience 

Our mother loved coming to Hunters Lodge so it was a natural choice to celebrate her life with family and friends. We could not fault this venue, the private room was very well laid out, keeping our family groups socially distant as required. The staff were excellent, making everyone feel at ease and the afternoon tea was fantastic with more than enough food. Some of our party had different dietary requirements and even though the staff weren’t aware of this, they could not have been more helpful, getting sandwiches and salads made to order. We would certainly recommend this venue for this type of event thanks to the amazing staff at Hunters Lodge.

Lovely Wake for mum

I cant believe anyone would rate The Hunters Lodge less than 5 stars for food and drink. We have visited numerous times and the staff have always been pleasant, and the food has been outstanding. 

I also have to point out that the staff have done an incredible job in terms of Social Distancing - the policy is clear and the service is still excellent despite the difficulty of moving from bar service to table service etc.

Just Perfect

Stayed here on Saturday night as we were attending a house warming & we had travelled up from Redditch. The rooms are quite spacious & quite clean. The full english breakfast was brought to our room the following morning due to the new Covid ruling, the breakfast we vey nice. We would definately stay here again.

Worth The Money

Just had a lovely meal at Hunters Lodge.
Staff really friendly and made to feel really welcome.  They have new social distancing procedure in place, really well organised.
Highly recommend, meal was lovely.
Well done all team and good that you are back.
