Good quality seafront pub B & B in ideal quiet location next to a park. Just a short walk to the shops, bars, restaurants etc. Around 30 mins walk to the Castle.
Well equipped room with large ensuite. Very good English Breakfast. Friendly staff.
Need to find parking on nearby roads or pay in public car parks. These were busy on a Saturday when we visited.
Quite a narrow windy staircase to the bedrooms.
Perhaps a bit pricy at £180 per night but we would definitely consider for a future visit to Dartmouth.

We spotted the add for take away Sunday Roast dinners delivered in Dartmouth.  So we thought we would have a rest and try one. So glad we did it was absolutely fab. 

We ordered child portions as we are seniors and do not eat large meals, although I did add an extra, 1 portion of cauliflower cheese as not sure how small the meals may be. 

Wow. Delivered 5 mins early by a very friendly chap with card payment on delivery.  What can I say we expected cartons of food, but no the meal was plated on disposable plate/dishes with lids. It was very hot with a piping hot pot of gravy. We  chose Lamb and it was delicious, cooked  just right and plenty of it. So much veg I lost count, at least 9 plus stuffing,  big yorkshire and 2 large Roast potatoes. We didn't need the extra cauliflower cheese but it didn't go to waste and again hot and tasty.
Child's portion just the right size for seniors, so full we could not even eat ice cream after  

Thank you all at the "Ship in Dock" you have now 2 new regular customers. And anybody out there thinking about it. Don't-  just order and sit back.
Will be ordering again soon.   

Superb Sunday Roast 

Yet another lovely roast dinner.l normally have the Lamb but this time  l had the beef and it was beautifully cooked and tender ,with a bottle of red wine what more could you want!!

A great quirky pub with good staff, and friendly locals that has accommodation. Wonderful comfortable rooms, good shower, the breakfast was excellent good quality food, lovely service really made to feel welcome much better than a big hotel to stay at if in Dartmouth.

The Ship In Dock (SID) is perfectly located so visitors can enjoy all that Dartmouth has to offer with good options for parking. My room and bathroom were spacious, spotlessly clean and full of all those little items which make guests feel special. The room was elegantly decorated and full of charm. There is even a well stocked mini bar and REAL MILK for your tea or coffee. Downstairs you will find a comfortable and friendly bar that is well stocked with drinks to suit all tastes. The sumptuous freshly prepared breakfast is memorable. I could not manage any of the cereals, fruits and yoghurts on offer knowing I was going for the full traditional cooked breakfast, After consuming 2x fried eggs, 2 x sausages, 2 x rashers of bacon, mushrooms, black pudding, tomato, hash brown, baked beans, 2 x slices of toasts, washed down with a delightful pot of Earl Grey, I was set for the day. I highly recommend this totally wonderful and unique boutique pub with rooms. From the warm and friendly welcome to the time you check out, you will have a wonderful time with memories to treasure,

An Utterly Charming Place To Stay

We visit Dartmouth regularly and every time we have tried to go into this pub it's closed. Tried to get in at 9pm last night (sat 30th Sept) and despite people being in there we were told they were closed. So good luck with trying to get a drink here, we won't bother any more!

we have just had the best Sunday Roast ever !
And off course a drink before .What a lovely pub, very friendly ,clean and decor is fantastic .
Booked a table for Sunday Roast  and my Husband has always said my Roast Dinners are great but now he wants to marry Judd who cooks the wonderful Roast dinner at a fantastic price .
we will be going back and have already told our friends .

Best Sunday Roast Ever !!

Personal feel in this great 4 room B&B. Room was well equipped and comfortable. Great views. Breakfast experience was one of the best we've had. Only drawback and one reason we booked was parking permit was included only to be told on arrival that this is no longer offered so had to pay for parking which totalled approx £40.

Great stay, great location. Parking is a bit of nightmare but that’s Dartmouth. Had to move car a few times but ended up using the long stay car park a 2 min walk away and downloaded the Ringo app. Room was clean with a comfy bed. Breakfast was amazing. Staff so friendly and helpful. We stayed as we were visiting BRNC so ideal for us.

Have visited The Ship in Dock 3 times recently while on holiday for Sunday lunch. It is the nicest Sunday lunch I have ever tasted! Huge portions and too many different vegetables to remember. There are 3 choices of meat and we have tried the beef and lamb. Both were tender and very tasty.
The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. 
I would advise booking as only a small restaurant area but they also offer take away lunches.
Can't wait to visit Dartmouth again on a Sunday just to have another amazing lunch!
