There are simply not enough stars to give this property justice. My 5y son and I needed a place to stay for a week (short notice) and from the moment we pulled into the peastone driveway of this beautifully restored country estate, I knew we were in store for a truly special experience. Stockman's Cottage was like my dream home come true. The charm, splendour and warmth is something I have never experienced before. Everything is meticulously decorated with antique furniture. Simon and Catherine have literally thought of everything right down to the quality of toilet paper. From their fully stocked darling kitchen (with cook books and dishes galore) which they even had fresh milk, eggs, bread, butter and orange juice already in the fridge for us!!! Having cleaning/laundry detergents on hand, to the incredibly comfortable beds and linens. My absolute favourite part was the wood fireplace and plush cushions everywhere (A Book Reader's Dream!!!). Every early morning I would step outside with my coffee to the sounds of birds and the trickle of a nearby stream and marvel at the misty norfolk countryside. "I kid you not" It looked like a scene straight out of Pride and Prejudice.

Simon was immediately attentive to any questions and/or needs that I had. He even brought bins of extra toys for my son to play with. I can't thank them enough for having made, what would have been a rather sad visit for me, into a truly magical one. 

I highly recommend Norfolk Courtyard and will indefinitely stay here again when I return.

An out of this world experience that is rich in Norfolk charm.

We have just had the most amazing 3 nights at The Courtyard (The Dairy). Hosts Simon and Catherine have such great attention to detail, from the beautiful boutique decor of the accommodation to their amazing hospitality. Their priceless knowledge and experiences of the area allows you to get as much out of your time as possible. The stunning and peaceful location is a great setting to see the more traditional side of Norfolk. An absolute gem and a must stay place for hospitality, location and a memorable experience.

A Hidden Gem

We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we set foot in the grounds of the Norfolk Courtyard.

Our room (Garden Room) was beautiful; clean and spacious. The homemade biscuits were delicious and the breakfast was wonderful.

This was our first trip away with our 8 week old baby, which made me nervous. The hosts couldn't do enough to make us feel relaxed and happy. Simon provided us with a travel cot and even held Florence for us whilst we ate our breakfast! He told us about the local produce and homemade elements of the breakfast, made us laugh with stories about his own family and gave local recommendations.

We had a magical stay at the Norfolk Courtyard - it really is a very special and beautiful place!

A wonderful place

My wife and I were looking for somewhere for an overnight stop whilst going to a function  nearby Norfolk Courtyard came highly recommended, I was sold just looking at the website .When we arrived Simon the owner took us to a very comfortable tastefully decorated room in a barn conversion near to his beautiful house. Very comfortable bed underfloor heating powerful shower there was fresh milk in the fridge in our room L'Occatine toiletries  .After a good nights sleep we had breakfast in the breakfast room fresh eggs from  Simon and his lovely wife Catherine's chickens good toasted  bread and jams all in all a lovely relaxing experience. 
Attached to the rooms is Simons antique buisness certaintly worth a visit it was hard to drag  my wife away lots of goodies to buy

Great overnight stop

We spent four nights in this very friendly B&B whilst visiting Norfolk, and would highly recommend it. Although they do not provide a cooked breakfast, the mixture of local breads, muffins etc and eggs from the chickens wandering around, along with the friendly service, made for a lovely breakfast. The B&B is very peaceful, being just outside a small village with a local pub serving food. The owners are very forthcoming in wider recommendations for places to eat and explore.  When visiting Norfolk again, this will be our preferred place to stay.

A lovely B&B for a few days exploring Norfolk

We booked for the Dairy room for 3 nights. The whole experience exceeded our expectations! Such a beautiful, relaxing place to stay. Simon & Catherine are the perfect hosts! Simon is a source of information & very knowledgeable of the area! He gave us great recommendations of places to visit & eat! In which we wasn’t disappointed at all! 

Definitely recommend Seasons in Wells-next-the-Sea Simon! And the beach walk from Holkham to Wells-next-the-Sea was amazing! So unspoilt & naturally beautiful! 

We received a very warm welcome and some nice homemade biscuits awaited for us. The interior design, furnishing of the room & bathroom is of a very high standard and exceptionally clean. The bathroom was well equipped with L’Occitane toiletries & fluffy towels. 
The breakfast room design & furnishings is of an equally high standard. The food choice is of fresh croissants, homemade blueberry pancakes, homegrown fruits, yoghurts, cereals, a selection of breads toasted. I recommend the pumpernickel bread! And boiled eggs from the chickens.
The antiques in the barn next to the breakfast room are very interesting too & well worth popping in to have a look! 
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here & highly recommend Norfolk Courtyard. We will definitely stay here again for our next visit to Norfolk. Thank you Simon & Catherine.
