The most fantastic and quirkiest place we have ever stayed, beautiful location wonderful people and very good food, miss the experience everyday, love the place and the staff, old John and the lady, XXX

Called into the Feathers on our way home for a bite to eat.
No problem parking. 
Clean and spacious bar.
Friendly welcome, delicious food, good price and a great pint of Guinness!
We will definitely call again.


Definitely worth a visit 

Not been here for many years . There was a warm welcome , great choice of beers which are kept well . The food menu has been well thought out with some different varieties which makes them stand out from the crowd .
The food is well priced and well executed and will definitely be returning at the earliest opportunity .
It is a pleasure to visit an establishment where the current owners care about maintenance and decorative order of an old and beautiful building .

A must visit pub 

Food great(I am gluten intolerant and really appreciated the effort to keep me healthy), comfort slumberland (apart from that mad owl), rooms very clean and tidy, towels and room cleaned every day, internet ok but TV reception patchy - very hot weather may have interfered with the signal, overall atmosphere fantastic relaxed rural and the very professional
staff led to a phenomenal stay. Finally I must mention the manager and the housekeeper great characters and incredibly hard working they have ensured our return.

Lovely spacious outdoor seating area. Dog friendly, good kind friendly staff. Let us order food even though the kitchen was meant to be closed. Lots of veggie options and the pulled pork burger was fantastic.

Stayed here last night and i have to say that we couldn’t of been treated any better anywhere. When we arrived it was so busy and the bar was knee .deep in used empty glasses. We were hoping to order a meal and looking at the bar  thought this was not going to happen or at least not for quite sometime….we were shown to our rooms and quickly went back to the bar to order dinner as expected this to be a very long wait. We were amazed in such a short time the bar had been cleared and it was a breeze to order drinks and our food. It arrived quit quickly and it tasted amazing, The chips were honestly the best I’ve ever had and believe me I’m picky. Also had the chilli con carne which was full of flavour and really nice. The rooms are quite basic but non the less the outstanding hospitality of the owner, his wife ( I believe ) and staff out ranked everything else,  the owners couldn’t of been any more helpful, attentive and welcoming and that to me goes a long way, after the long haul we had through covid it is so lovely to see such establishments make through and certainly lets keep supporting these businesses for us to enjoy before we lose them all together. Thank you guys for being so accommodating during my stay.

If you have ever dreamed of staying at Fawlty Towers, this is the closest you will ever get!  Basil was amazingly authentic and we had to rename the lady behind the bar, Polly. You will get good service, eventually. 

A handy place to stay when visiting Sandringham, but do not miss the old Royal Station complex in Wolferton. This place is not relly ever closed, despite the info. You can't get into the actual satation buildings, but the refurbishment is amazing. Don't miss a visit to the small building at the back of the properrty and a chance to meet the wonderful owner, Richard Brown. It is a privately owned property, housing the Brown family. Nostalgia at its best.

Visited the Feathers as they had a good Band playing.
Second time we have done this in the past few years.
3pm
Queue at the Bar was 6 deep.  No bartender seen for at least 5 minutes.  One appeared to be serving.  We didn't wait.
Was advised that any food would be around an hour and a half.  We didn't order.
We listened to the Band awhile 👍
Most tables outside had people sitting at them.  
One lad was bringing out meals.
No tables were being cleared.
Yes, there were people there however no where near enough staff to provide reasonable customer service.  Yes, it's tough to get staff at present however you really are missing a trick as you have a great Beer Garden.  Come on The Feathers...get your act together!

Good food, friendly atmosphere. Varied menu. A few more bar/waiting staff would have eased the pressure. But all in all a pleasant lunch break on our trip to the Norfolk coast. Good dogs welcome in the restaurant. 
This is also an hotel but we were only there for lunch.

Quaint Pub

We stopped here for late afternoon lunch after being in Sandringham all morning. Been here several times many years ago and oh has it changed! Found seating outside  and went to the bar to order drinks and food which was easy and the young girl was polite and pleasant. Whilst sitting outside the garden seem to have a lot of wasps around so we decided to go inside as we had two small children with us. I approached the bar and asked the young girl if the room along the corridor was the restaurant and asked if we could sit in there. Next minute Happy Jack the ignorant owner chirped up saying theres plenty of seating elsewhere and chuntered something under is breath. I did answer him back and he seemed to disappear pretty quickly and wasn’t seen again whilst we where in there. Food was nice, place wants a good clean and tables throughly cleaning outside to avoid the stickiness/ wasps.
