Location is excellent, hotel is just an amazing experience, the decor is just fab, hosts are so friendly. Breakfasts are better than we have had in many top hotels across the world. Nothing is too much trouble. If you come anywhere near Dolgellau please stay here, you wont regret it

What an amazing place to stay !

My boyfriend and I spent a four-night stay here and had the most wonderful time. Its such a unique B&B that is full of such lovely personal touches - from specially made flapjacks and cookies (vegan ones for me), lots of books, dvds and games to choose from, as well as quirky artwork and trinkets to enjoy. Mark and Jayne are very lovely and accommodating, and the breakfasts were fab! We were unsure of what to expect staying during covid times as the country is starting to open up again, but everything was carefully arranged, making our stay safe and easy. The personality of Tan y Gader definitely added to our long weekend away, and made our trip more special and memorable. We would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. If you're considering a stay here, do it!

A quirky B&B full of personality

What a gorgeous B&B. Such lovely hosts who couldn't do enough for us! Our room was quirky and cool with an Alice in Wonderland theme. Very comfy bed, super clean and the best part, a powerful and boiling hot shower! Breakfast was delicious as was the packed lunches Jayne made for our trip up to Cadair Idris. Her cakes are absolutely delicious, I don't believe I've ever tasted a better bara brith. The garden is beautiful and what a delight it was to sit in the sunshine drinking coffee and eating more of Jayne's awesome cake, this time an orange drizzle. All in all, an excellent stay and would highly recommend.  

Lovely b&b, excellent service, AMAZING cake!

It was one of the best places I have stayed at. Both Jayne and Mark were the friendliest and the most nicest hosts you could ever have asked for.  The food was 10 out of 10 and the rooms were big and comfortable.  I felt so welcomed in their B&B and was even given cup cakes after dinner in the evenings. We will definitely be staying here for work in the future. Highly recommended.

Essential Worker

I stayed here on my own in the Garden Room for 2 nights. 
What a lovely yes quirky B&B. My room was clean, bed comfortable and pillows fab. Really enjoyed the homemade cakes and biscuits left in my room. Breakfast was the best I've had in a B&B for a long time. Mark went out of his way to help. He gave up his parking space so I could park my van and riding bike outside the B&B for safety for me. Very kind.
Would definitely return again. Thanks

A lovely B&B with added touches

An excellent stay. Great hosts very welcoming and passionate about what they do. We stopped in the Narnia and got to be one of the comfiest beds I have slept in!! The food is great and the little treats are well thought out and enjoyed. Dolgellau is a beautiful part of Wales and you will not be disappointed stopping here. Thanks for a great two nights to finish off our week touring around North Wales. We wish you all the best during these difficult times.

The Tan Y Gader

We have just had a magical wonderful three night stay at the Tan Y Gader.

Jayne and Mark are a credit to the B&B industry. The Tan Y Gader is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. The quirky Alice in Wonderland / Mad Hatters theme was delightful. The design and decor throughout the accommodation was brilliant. It took you into another world.

The quality of the breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice and the food simply made me happy.

During these difficult times Jayne & Mark comply with all the government
 regulations. 

They made you feel safe and welcome in their home.

If you want a stay vacation in a beautiful area I would highly recommend the Tan Y Gader. It was a lovely place to stay in a beautiful part of the world.

We hope to visit again next year, thank you for making our stay feel so special. 

Simply Wonderful

Had a lovely two night stay at Tan y Gader. Very comfortable, clean, welcoming and lovely breakfast and cake. Good location with pubs/ restaurants walkable, and day activities such as Barmouth beach, Precipice walk, Cader Idris and lake Bala.

Enjoyable stay

Probably the best B&B I've ever stayed in.  Jayne & Mark have excelled in every detail from the warm welcome to the final goodbye.  Most comfortable bed, feather pillows, quirky interesting decor and even an LED torch hung inside the bedroom door. Breakfast menu & presentation outstanding with proper fabric napkin & even a serviette ring. Thank you Jane & Mark for such a wonderful experience.

We absolutely loved everything about this B and B! Cosy, clean, warm and welcoming. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay. Fabulous breakfasts and the added touch of homemade shortbread and cake left in the room was much appreciated.
