Spent one night at the Hubert Guesthouse before catching our ferry the next morning, we were made to feel very welcome. The room was beautiful and spacious and very comfortable with all the amenities. We had to leave early the next morning so would miss breakfast, so the landlady made sure we had cereal in our room and did us a pack up of egg and bacon sandwich, which we were very grateful for - thank you! We would definitely book this guesthouse again

Wonderful stay

Hubert House was great. We were 2 adults and 2 kids in one room. There was ample space. The room had a couch, chair, fridge and desk area. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water. The woman managing the house, Farrah, is amazing. We payed for laundry service, dropped off our clothes and left for the day. When we came back, she had all of our things cleaned and sorted. We came in late drenched from the rain. She handed us another bag for wet clothes and then washed and dried those. She left us snacks and breakfast since we were packing out the next day. It was one of my favorite stops in England.

Loved this place

We booked this place my husbands 40th and it was totally amazing. Very small and intimate attraction to detail the interior and the history of this gorgeous hotel really was impressive. Very close to town. Very cozy and the warmth from the staffs absolutely made our stay more memorable. They took time explaining everything from day trips to food and directions. We definitely recommend this boutique hotel.

my wife and i stayed there in june 69 our second anniversary...i was stationed at shape belgium.....it was great....i stil have the bill for the two nights, it totaled 2.10 pounds per night....quite a bit cheaper thant the 200 dollars puls today...i would recommendt it highly...would love to go back some day and very happy to see that it is still operating

We had a great time! Room was very clean and the staff is outstanding. Close to everything so you can walk. We found parking in their lot. Breakfast is very good and personal. Staff was willing to cook eggs to order. A very good place to stay and we would definitely go back.

Excellent experience

The room was perfect, very clean and beds and linen were so nice and comfy. Better than in other hotels / guesthouses I stayed in. Bathroom super clean and we were provided with toiletries and towels. 

Location is perfect - one street leads straight to Dover Castle and another one leads to White cliffs of Dover. Restaurants were 10min walk from the accomodation. Sara (the owner) recommended few restaurants and the food was great. We will definitely book again when we visit Dover again. Oh, and breakfast was very delicious and big.

Stayed here for 2 nights in the Georgian Suite exceptionally clean spacious and very comfortable bed. Everything you need at hand well stocked hospitality tray

Fabulous hospitality

While on a golf vacation to Kent, I spent three days at the Hubert House while playing several courses in the area.  The manager/concierge answered all questions and provided directions where needed.  The room was well-appointed, clean and comfortable.  Yes, I would stay there again!

Clean and great location

If you are looking for a lovely homey central place equidistant from everything on the menu and tourist circuit; is affordable and value for money… probably you shouldn’t think twice….this is THE place!!!
Well decorated clean crisp and welcoming place if ever there was one…. bang in the middle of everything…walk able to most Dover has to offer.
The breakfast is quite adequate fresh and well laid out, the Patio is a fabulous place to sit and enjoy the holiday with a homey yet festive ambiance.
The other good things about it are the multitude of restaurants a stone’s throw away.
So is the water front and promenade.
There is an old historic chapel on the reverse and a small alley with ancient likely Roman walls with grasses and hang on plants sprouting giving the place a Mediterranean ambiance.
 
I stayed in the first floor Georgian, which was a lovely room with a front street view, a majestic Alder or Oak…I can’t recall…. Was in the middle of the triangular road intersection and lent so much charm and presence to the place. The union Jack flying in front of the room was so pleasing, I felt like part of the common wealth after a long long time…
The Bed was awesome, so was the toilet. The bedding were so plush and comfortable, clearly someone had taken great pains to make the place comfortable and welcoming.
The décor was indeed period with y period look, heavy wooden furniture too was remarkable.
Water in the toilet was warm and a plush pampering bath was possible. A sizable toilet that was almost opulent and well laid out. The towels were ample clean and cushy. It was squeaky clinical clean.
The manager/host was a most cheerful youngish lady with Latino roots very helpful friendly and handy which was a blessing indeed. I would recommend it any time and definitely stay there whenever I visit next.

I have only pros…

I spent two nights here recently and would return.  A friend and I had a quad room which was comfortable and roomy enough for two.  The fresh breakfast each morning was delicious.  Location is convenient for walking to Dover Castle and to restaurants/retail areas.  I failed to get the name of our hostess but she was very helpful and friendly.
