Visited Polmaily House for a wedding in August 2021 and had a wonderful time. The owners were fabulous hosts, full of local knowledge and ideas of things to do. We enjoyed using tennis and lawn facilities in the glorious sunshine, swimming in the pool and singing karaoke in the evenings. The wedding was truly the most beautiful I’d ever been to. All of the bedrooms were comfy and beautifully presented, lots of lovely spaces in the house for chilling out or partying all night. Loved it so much that we have just visited again with a group of friends in January. It was perfectly located, only an hour or so drive to a gondola to go hiking in the Ben Nevis range, and the ski slopes of Aviemore. The hosts organised some fab food from local caterers for us and a yoga session by the pool. Hoping to visit again soon! 

Perfect place to stay

I stayed at Polmaily with a big group of friends for a long weekend. The location is ideal, just a drive away from lots of beautiful hikes and we were really lucky and managed to get some skiing in at the Cairngorms. 
The accommodation itself is really special, so clean and welcoming, the beds are so comfy and the rooms are lovely. The owners Chris and Deb are the perfect hosts with lots of suggestions and recommendations for us to help our stay go as smooth as possible!  
We made full use of the facilities too, some memorable nights in the bar with the karaoke machine, relaxing swims in the heated pool and Deb helped facilitate a private yoga session for us on site while half our group went golfing for the morning. For dinner we hired some local catering for dinner which I’d recommend. 
10/10 weekend, we will definitely be back!

Unforgettable stay!

Had the best time at Polmaily house! Visited with a big group of friends in the hope that we could get some Scottish skiing in! We spent a day in the Cairngorms   - a great place to ski even for those fairly new to skiing like me!
Lovely facilities at Polmaily house - highlights include a very comfy bed, robes & log fire for warming up after a day of winger sports 

Ski Trip with Friends

Had the absolute best weekend at Polmaily house - I went with a group of friends and it had everything we needed and more - super comfortable rooms, heated pool, bar, cinema room, and a cosy living room complete with log fireplace. The house is also in a beautiful location, and only an hour's drive from the Cairngorms where we went skiing! The owners, Chris and Deb, were also so lovely and accommodating. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel, and can't wait to come back! 

Perfect weekend stay!

We stayed at Polmaily house with a big group of friends for 3 nights and it was absolutely brilliant! 
All the rooms are spacious and super clean. Such a comfy bed! 
There's a bar which was a lot of fun in the evening and heated pool with a games room also! 
Lots of walking trails nearby and hotel is really close to the beautiful Loch Ness lake.
We had the best time there and Deb and Chris (the owners) went above and beyond helping us through out our stay. Would definitely come back! 

Amazing trip with friends! 

This house is just a slice of paradise! 

We booked the house for my partners 30th with a group of friends. From the moment we arrived we were blown away with how beautiful the house is. Every room is immaculate and modern, but still has the charm of a big country house.

Chris greeted us and couldn’t be more lovely and accommodating. Very friendly and welcoming. 
The house has endless amenities, so you won’t be stuck for anything to do. The pool was a massive bonus as well. Again, just let Chris know your plans he was so helpful with everything we wanted.

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!!!
Wish I could hit rewind and do it all over, just to sleep in that bed again!!

Simply amazing!

We booked Polmaily for our wedding weekend in August and had the most incredible experience. From the start, we loved Chris and Deb's friendly nature and knew it would be  a great fit. The house is a perfect venue for a small (or large) wedding - we hired a marquee to accommodate 110 guests and had close family/friends stay in the house with the rest of the guests stay nearby. The house has everything you would need to make your guests feel at ease and feel at home! We really appreciated having them on-site, Chris even stopped by to help us set up a fire and smores on the Sunday after our wedding and really appreciated the extra effort. Our guests loved the laid-back nature of the venue and having all of the amenities on site is really such an amazing bonus.  We'd recommend the venue to anyone albeit for a wedding, family reunion, trip with friends etc. The weekend couldn't have gone better so a very special thank you to Chris and Deb!!

Incredible wedding venue!

Polmaily is the perfect venue for a family get together, we had a truly memorable weekend to celebrate my parents Ruby wedding anniversary with a large family group. The whole thing was a surprise to them and they just had the best time ever! Polmaily is a beautiful property, spacious spotless and comfortable it has the ability to feel homely and cosy  despite its size and this is due to the thoughtful decor and of course the roaring fire! The facilities are just amazing, we enjoyed many hours at the pool(,I’m surprised the kids aren’t like prunes!) watching movies in the cosy cinema, cooking and chatting in the huge kitchen ( which has everything you could ever need!) family game nights, And a mini sports day outside which consisted of welly throwing, tug of war and a sack race to name a few! The bar was another much enjoyed aspect of the house just such a treat to have all these facilities to enjoy! The whole family just loved our time there and all being well we will certainly be back!! Chris and Deb the owners are so lovely and helpful, could not have asked for better hosts or a better weekend, highly recommend Polmaily house!

Incredible family weekend

Polmaily is everything you could want in a Highland getaway and more. We recently celebrated our wedding with an intimate group of family & friends, all staying in the house. Everyone had an absolutely wonderful time and did not want to leave. 

Chris and Deb were knowledgeable (very valuable when you've not done the wedding thing before), SO helpful and easy to converse with. They honestly made our entire stay and the big day a breeze. So much so, we'd happily do the whole thing again! 

The house itself has been beautifully arranged, leaving nothing wanting. From its historical features, the hidden twists and turns of the stairs, the many rooms (allowing for privacy and great times together), the fully equipped kitchen, the additional little tea/coffee/fridge stations on each floor, the comfiest beds, and all the other facilities (not forgetting the pool!) - they've really thought of everything. 

Then there's the grounds. What else is there to say but that they're absolutely stunning. We lost many a party member to an evening stroll through the grounds during our stay and all enjoyed a go at the lawn games. Not to mention the gorgeous backdrop the grounds provided for the big day as well!

We cannot say enough how much we loved and would recommend staying at Polmaily House. Whether for a getaway or a celebration - it is worth it.

We hope to be able to return again soon!

Polmaily is Absolute Bliss

We celebrated our wedding with a weekend at Polmaily for family and friends and cannot recommend it highly enough!  The house and grounds are beautiful, Chris and Debs were unfailingly lovely, and the amenities are perfect for a Highland wedding.  All the little touches like the games outside, the karaoke, the cinema for the kids (particularly in the morning) and the lovely pool, made for a lovely weekend for family and friends.  The pond is so lovely we still had the ceremony outside despite the rain, and everyone dancing in the pouring rain to the bagpipes on the Sunday on the tennis court will forever be a highlight!  

Top tips:

Following advice from Chris and Deb, on Friday we ordered from cafe bagliotti who delivered a lovely meal that could be ordered separately but delivered together, and which we then just had to heat up and then have a lovely relaxed evening catching up with friends staying in the house.

On Saturday we had beautiful flowers from Barbara at the Wild Acre and great food from Cafe 82.  Laura Gillespie delivered a really thoughtful Humanist ceremony.  Jayne Ross and Athena Andreas were lovely, calm and professional hair and makeup artists who did a great job and again were lovely and made for a chilled out and relaxed atmosphere.  

On the Sunday we had a BBQ for friends and family using 'A & I Quality Butchers' who were very patient and who do lovely pre-booked food so no need to worry about poisoning anyone.  Polmaily lent itself perfectly to a Highland Games which the kids all loved.

Biggest tip is listen to Chris and Deb!  They are so helpful, so relaxed, so delighted for people to have the best time, and so informed and able to see when you are going slightly away from what is going to work best!  

Rooms are beautiful, grounds are lovely, views are spectacular.  We were told we had had the worst weather for a wedding weekend in years and we absolutely loved it.  Cannot recommend Polmaily highly enough.
