It’s not written but there is no breakfast in the Bed & Breakfast. We looked this kind of accommodation to have the breakfast before starting the day, but there is no breakfast.
The bed is not really comfortable but it was fine for 2 nights.
We were lucky as we had the room with the private bathroom so we didn’t have to cross the hall.
We didn’t see the host. The room and bathroom were really clean.
It’s really close to Urquart’s castle.

B&Breakfast without breakfast…

Disappointing. Was more like a hostel than a bed-and-breakfast. First, there’s no breakfast! For £70/$86 they should provide at least juices, pastries, etc. No refunds, & bathroom was across hall (no en suite).  Never met the hosts, was greeted by a note on the door. Otherwise facilities were clean, comfortable bed and small but functional shower. Convenient to Great Glen Way walkers but not to the center of town, about a mile away. Can not recommend.

Disappointing, not a bed and breakfast

After a 12 hour drive our original booking was elsewhere however the previous place was just awful, so we done a quick search and found this hidden gem, we took a chance and drove to them and asked if they had a room for 2 nights, the owners were so welcoming and said they had a room available which after looking we jumped at the opportunity, the owners were very friendly and really took time to ensure we knew where to go for food etc, the room was a triple room with a lovely comfortable double bed and a single bed, we had sky TV and a kettle, we also had our own bathroom with an awesome shower, we had access to the dining room which had tables and chairs and also a comfy area with sofa to watch TV, we also had access to a fridge, microwave and toaster, everything we needed was right there. Easy to get to local attractions and easy to find. A lovely quiet place, we will definitely be coming back, I've really felt at home and nothing was too much trouble, I would whole heartedly recommend this place to anyone, thank you.

Perfect

This is a lovely little guesthouse which is a bit walk from the centre of drumnadrochit but close to the loch Ness Inn and when you get used to the walk it's fine. Highland cows close by and a wee forest walkway to the edge of the loch (crossing a river though so be warned). Sarah and her family were nice, reachable via text message and with info packs and everything needed in the rooms. Couldn't want more really from a wee place for the price, perhaps a small fridge but that's okay :) 

Almost perfect little place

We were doing a road trip of Scotland with our eldest daughter (Joining us from Germany) & driving up from Edinburgh this was our first stop. We arrived late but the owners left us a detailed note. The room was really cosy & the location perfect - very accessible from the main road & close to shops

ASLAICH WAS 'LEKKER'

The B&B is nicely situated in a large garden. Our room was spacious and calm and there is a comfortable living room. We were warmly welcomed and well looked after. A good restaurant is within walking distance.

Pleasant Stay

We arrived here about mid-afternoon.  Their was a lady (who turned out to be another guest) sat on a bench at the front of the property.  She told us the owners were out and there was a note on their front door for us.  The note told us which room was ours and where the keys were.  After settling in we went for something to eat, on our return the owners still weren’t back.  We expected them on their eventual return to come and introduce themselves and make sure we had everything we needed.  They didn’t appear at all that evening, nor the following morning.  The other guests were very noisy.  Even when they came in late they stood outside our room talking and laughing very loudly.  No consideration for anyone trying to sleep.  The doors were banged loudly even though it was possible to carefully close them quietly.  But there are apparently no rules about being quiet.  The walls are so thin that we could listen to the news on next doors t.v.  We could hear their conversations, even when they went to the toilet!!! The heater in the room is electric on a timer.  The owners have put a lock over the controls so they can’t be adjusted.  The only thing you can do is unplug the heater if you’re too hot.  If you’re cold it’s tough.  We unplugged the heater overnight and still woke up sweating because it was so hot.  We believe there could have been a plastic mattress cover which would be the cause.  In the morning we were woken up at 6.50 by the owners.  We could hear bang, bang, bang, bang.  It was the sound of the  coal/log fire being attended to, presumably shaking the ash down.  Then loud conversations.  The noise continued until we left at 9.05am.  We were in the triple room, far too small for 3 beds and the bathroom across the hall was so tiny you could hardly move.  The t.v., kettle, sky box unit and cups etc were all crammed onto the top of a chest of drawers about 18” x 20”.  My Husband nearly knocked the tiny, old t.v. off the top trying to get to the kettle handle.  The internet was so bad it was virtually unusable.   A woman, who may or may not be the owner, and a man, whoever he was, both said goodbye.  But no-one had ever checked to see who we were, or if it was us who were supposed to be there.  Breakfast is £10 per person extra.  If, like us, you only want some cereal or toast and coffee, it’s an awfully expensive slice of toast or bowl of cereal.  Also,  check out is 10am, if you want to leave after that they will charge you £30!!!  The place was tired and needed work.  The towels in the bathroom at one time would have been white, they now have a grey hue and are on the thin side, definitely need replacing.  There were 4 rugs around our bed, all of which looked tatty around the edges.  Would not recommend to anyone.  We’ve done B & B’s, hotels etc around the world, and this has to be the noisiest we have ever encountered.

Needs to be Shut Down for a Revamp

Stayed here recently whilst walking the Great Glen Way.
Rooms clean and tidy with good showers after a days walking.Nice big lounge to relax in and breakfasts very filling 
All in all a good place to chill and relax
Would recommend to other walkers and very near the Loch Ness Inn for evening meal

Friendly

Just out of the way of the busy main road going through Drumnadrochit. The place was spotless and very comfortable and modern. The owner was very friendly but on my visit she had had a bad accident to her shoulder so it was room only without breakfast. Hopefully when I am next in the area I will get to stay here again.

A good place to stay

The place was quiet and comfortable. I liked the rural feel of the surroundings. Since it was a rainy evening, we stayed in. There was a selection of DVDs in the common area and a DVD player there, but nowhere else. We tried to watch one of them and it took 4 tries to get it to finally start. After that, it played all the way through, but the next DVD we tried to watch would never start. Breakfast was pretty good and the rooms were spotless, but there was a full ashtray sitting on the outside step that somebody really ought to empty.
